25 Wedding Hairstyles for Short Hair

Just because you’re tying the knot doesn’t mean you have to grow your hair or get extensions. You should wear your hair the way you love it. And if you have a pixie cut or short hair, don’t panic about your big day ‘do. We’ve pulled together 25 ideas that will be perfect for your wedding.

1. Light Curls: Keep it simple with a few loose curls around your face. This amps up your everyday ‘do and keeps you looking classy and chic. (via The Cake Museum)

2. Flower Crown: This white rose and baby’s breath crown is a knock out with a low chignon. Leave your chignon a little messy for a more rustic look. (via Style Me Pretty)

3. Piecy Pixie: No need to choose which side to part your pixie — just piece out your fringe (and style out those sides!) for a delicate bridal look. (via Jessica Ann Helton)

4. Beachy Waves: Let your hair down and look fresh with this beachy air-dried look. Do you love her dress as much as we do? Get your own gold accents to shine on your big day! (via Green Wedding Shoes)

5. Bouffant Updo: If you have a skinny headband and some bobby pins, you can pull this off. After some backcombing, twisting and pinning, your short hair will be FULL of va-va-volume. (via Brit + Co)

6. Floral Headband: A couple of loose curls and a classy flower-adorned headband are all you need to make those glamor curls even more romantic. (via Pretty Designs)

7. Greenery: Add a little bit of greenery for a natural look. With a French braid and some bobby pins, give the look of an elegant updo. Want those eyelashes, too? (We do!) Grow your natural lashes and make them pop for perfect eye-catching style! (via Style Me Pretty)

8. Veil It On: Super short-haired girls who still want something frilly on top for their big day should opt for a stand-out veil to top their tresses. We love one that features embellishments like crystals and pearls to mimic hair accessories. (via Afrobella)

9. Lace Band: Cover your short strands with a thick lace headband to add an elegant, vintage feel to your bridal look. This style is particularly stunning on girls rocking the chin-length bob. (via Bridal Musings)

10. Side Part: This might be the easiest way to create wedding-worthy drama with a short ‘do. Accent your side part with a chunky barrette to amp up the wow factor even more. (via Wedding Bee)

11. Tousled + Twisted Updo: This one is for all you flat iron pros. After curling your hair away from your face, twist the pieces back and pin in place. Keep twisting and pinning until all your strands are accounted for. Be sure to pull out some strandss for that perfectly tousled look! (via Brit + Co)

12. Flower Crown: Go big with a giant floral crown, perfect for a fall wedding — you know you want to! (via Wedding Chicks)

13. Slicked Back: Tired of your hair falling in your face? Go for a fierce look by gelling your hair back. This ‘do will hold all ceremony (and reception!) long. (via Short Haircut)

14. Big Curls: If your big day calls for big curls, here’s how to wear ’em: Swept up (up, up) and away. (via Bridal Musings)

15. Princess Bride: It’s official: tiaras can look elegant on your wedding day — it all comes down to finding the right design (like this Art Deco-inspired number) and donning it with the right ‘do, like effortlessly teased curls. (via Rock My Wedding)

16. Short Side Sweep: Channel Audrey Hepburn with a side swept pixie cut. It’s a timeless style that will wow, veil or no veil. (via Geneva Weddings)

20. Vintage-Inspired: Backcomb your hair and create a perfect pinup curl in the front with a careful twist and a few bobby pins. We love the look with the bride’s perfect pink lips and cheeks. (via Style Me Pretty)

21. Braided Bob: Soften up that blunt bob with a simple braid that turns into an absolute stunner with a rhinestone clip. (via Style Me Pretty)

23. Boho Bands: We’re all a little blinded by flower crowns these days, but let’s not forget that delicate headbands can also add definite boho flair when worn like this. Be sure to layer on the bands for an extra luxe look. (via Wedding Hairstyle Ideas)

25. Bouffant Down ‘Do: Pump up your everyday bob with a bouffant that mimics the volume of your veil. Match made in heaven? We think so, too! (via Carla Ten Eyck)

A Chic Gray Bob

Ivan Samkov

Go for the classic style by asking for this exact cut at the salon. This shape makes everyone looks amazing and is probably one of the most versatile gray bobs that can inspire your next trip to the salon. To maintain it, you'll want to protect your hair with a scarf at night. During the day, make sure you use a heat protectant before curling it with one of your flat irons.

Getty Images

This blunt hairstyle looks SO good with glasses, too! Pair it with a statement lipstick, and you're really making some stylish moves!

A Gray Lob

Bobs can be as short or long as you want as evidenced by this longer 'lob.' This is for the person who doesn't want to have hair like Rapunzel, but still wants to maintain some of their length. If you ever want to go for a shorter look with this style, all you have to do is pin curl the ends of your hair.

MART PRODUCTION

I love how this cut cascades with naturally curly or wavy hair!

Anastasia Shuraeva

I mean, look how flattering this is!

Plus, this slightly shorter length can really add some body to the ends!

A Bob With Bangs

Getty Images

Listen, a bob and bangs are a match made in heaven. I don't make the rules — it just works beautifully! If you're looking to really frame your face, this is a really great option! And look at how it makes your gorgeous features stand out even more!

A Perfectly Curled Under Gray Bob

Then again, you can keep it short and simple with this perfectly curled gray bob. Whether you consider yourself bold or not for rocking this style, it's one of those looks that'll stand out if you add a beautiful balayage to it.

Did we just give you an idea? We think so!

Getty Images

And with the round glasses to boot? Yeah, this woman screams, "I look good, and I cannot be stopped!"

Kampus Production

This look can also add a lot of softness to your aura, too. Really love how it hugs her face here!

A Shorter Gray Bob With Side Bangs

Moe Magners

The best thing about shorter hairstyles are their ability to highlight someone's features. If you have an oval face with high cheekbones, this style will amplify them. Not only that, but you'll have fun parting your hair to create side bangs.

Tip: Use a small flat iron to create depth without over-curling your hair.

Moe Magners

Look at how this cut angles perfectly with her face! So sleek!

A Stacked Or Graduated Bob

Antoni Shkraba

Another chic bob to wear is a stacked or graduated bob. Similar to the stylish woman in the picture, we imagine this hairstyle is for the woman who loves letting her personality shine through whatever she's wearing. We're jumping the gun, but this is one of those hairstyles you'll have fun planning outfits around.

Getty Images

I just love how this frames and elongates her face! The hairstyle makes her look refreshed and young, giving features like her eyes a chance to really shine!

A Gray Wavy Bob

Vlada Karpovich

This is the perfect length and shape to make your natural curls or waves shine. You won't even have to worry about curling your hair with this style because it doesn't require you to. If you're not sure what to use on your hair, we recommend using products from Sienna Naturals to help with the overall health of it.

Rene Terp

This hairstyle adds so much movement to your look!

Anastasia Shuraeva

You don't have to have such exaggerated waves, either. Some subtle waviness to your gray bob hairstyle is just enough to add that beautiful movement!

A Fully Curly Bob

Getty Images

Curly hair don't care? A gray bob hairstyle is PERFECT for you. This look says you're fun, fabulous, and ready to have a good time. Plus, it's yet another look that goes oh-so well with your statement glasses — the perfect chic look, if I do say so myself!

Vision boards are one of the most effective tools that you can use to build your business, your life, and your hobbies and I'm so excited to get my 2025 vision board going! Thoughtfully done, this process brings shape to dreams and emotions you're aiming for in the weeks and months ahead. Simply going through the process can bring clarity to your thinking, focus to your plans, and can leave you with a curated visual + tangible reminder of the life you want to build. But not only is the finished product fun to look at — the process is fun to make!

Here's how to get started to create your own vision board for 2025.

SUPPLIES

Brit + Co

Surface

I love white or black foam core board for creating vision boards. There are LOADS of sizes and options for this, so have fun picking the right one for you.

Adhesive

Glue sticks, Washi tape or pushpins work equally well. I prefer something non-permanent so I can revise my board as the year moves along.

Cutting tools

X-acto knife, ruler, scissors or a paper cutter are all great tools to have on hand.

Images

Magazines, old books, photographs all work well.

Set the vibe

A good playlist to inspire creative vibes, a big work area (floors work great for this!) and light some candles to keep it dreamy and inspiring.

Nosh and nourish

A cheese board, some wine, and good chocolate. All things are better with chocolate, right?

GET TO MAKING

Brit + Co

Set an intention. Or many.

I like to make one vision board for my entire world — work, family, love, hobbies, wellness, travel. Others prefer to have a separate vision board for each area of their life, or to only focus on one for the entire year. Let your intuition guide you here and decide the best approach for you. Really think about what you want to accomplish in the coming year. What emotions do you want to feel more of? Less of? How do you want to live?

You might find it best to journal about this prior to starting the image-gathering process to really bring clarity to mind. This intentional thinking will be important as you select images for your 2025 vision board. Try some Winter Journal Prompts For Improving Your Relationship or go for Emma Watson's Daily Journal Prompts!

Brit + Co

Curate images.

Find images that support your intention, and the life you want to build in the year ahead. Images should not just portray the WHAT of what you want, but also the EMOTION. The colors, people, and objects that show up on your final board should bring a smile to your face. I collect LOTS of images in a Pinterest board when I'm in the intention setting phase to have an abundance to choose from as I start my planning. Great resources for images are favorite blogs, Pinterest, Instagram, and Unsplash — really any image that speaks to you is vision board worthy.

Brit + Co

Build your 2025 vision board.

A reminder, this board is JUST FOR YOU so arrange the images in a way that speaks to your soul. You could organize each area by focus (work or home, for example.) Or let the colors of the images guide you in how they are arranged. There is no right or wrong way to do this — so just arrange and rearrange until you find what works for you. Stick the images to your surface once you've found a layout that you love.

Brit + Co

Find a home for your board.

Pick a spot in your home or workspace that you'll see your board regularly. The magic of this work comes in not just the building, but the visual reminder it gives you to give your time, energy, and resources to the things that support the life you want to build.

Brit + Co

Review often.

I'm a big fan of viewing these boards as evolving pieces of work. Take time to review it often and rearrange, add, or remove as needed to keep it as aspirational and inspiring as you need to move you toward your goals.

Giving yourself space, time, and a creative outlet to dream about your future is such a gift. One that can bring more positivity, intention, and purpose to your year ahead.

Fretting over which hairstyles to choose from now that you know you're going to a holiday party? Please don't because we've got 9 ideas that are super easy to recreate at home. We know you want to look your best, but it's not worth stressing over. All you have to do is figure out if you're looking to wear a ponytail or a bob. Once you've figured that out, the styling part is super easy.

Keep scrolling for the easiest holiday hairstyles that'll make heads turn at any party you RSVP to

1. Top Knot Bun

Kaboompics.com

Top knot buns look good on anyone regardless of age. We first admired them on ballerinas and later found out how easy they are to achieve. To create this sleek look, you'll need a hair wax stick, a boar bristle brush, elastic hair ties, and a holding spray to keep everything together!

2. A Cute Scarf Ponytail

AlINA RUDZYNSKA

After the top knot bun, this hairstyle is another easy one to pull off and doesn't really require a curling iron. All you need to do is gather your hair into a low ponytail before securing it with a hair tie. Once you've done that, wrap a festive red scarf around the hair tie for a look that shows you're ready for Christmas!

3. Layered Straight Hair

Kaboompics.com

Depending on your preference, you may refer to this style as straightened hair or a silk press. All that matters is making sure you have the best blowout products and tools to help you achieve it! If you have naturally curly hair, we recommend using The Doux's Press Play Thermal Set. It includes:

  • PRESS REWIND Curl Retention Shampoo
  • FAST FORWARD Heat Prep Conditioner
  • JUST GLAZE Silkening Fluid
  • SILENT TREATMENT 30-day Humidity Shield
  • O.P.P. Heat Protectant Spray
  • DOUX DROPS Bonding Polish
  • GANGSTER WRAP Foaming Wrap Lotion

You'll also want to use a blow dryer that has a concentrator nozzle along with a round brush to help smooth your hair. After that, all you'll have to do is flat iron your hair and that's it!

4. Barrel Curls

Людмила Сычева

We love barrel curls because they can look however you want them. If you want to go for a bombshell look, we recommend pin curling your hair after using the curling attachments of the T3 Aire 360 Blowout System. You'll want to section your hair so you're able to wrap individual strands around the base of the curler, preferably at an angle to achieve a spiral style like the one above!

5. Half Side Hairstyle

Polina Tankilevitch

We love an impressive half-side hairstyle that reminds us of Aunt Zelda fromThe Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. However, you won't have to curl your hair as much with this look. All you'll need to do is french braid both sides of your hair at night and simply unravel them once you're ready to make your party debut.

6. Wavy Bob

RDNE Stock project

Bobs aren't going anywhere, not that we want them to! They're incredibly flattering and have the perfect amount of body that we fangirl over. This hairstyle is super easy because you only need to lightly curl the ends of your hair to achieve an effortless look. Honestly, you can use a curling or flat iron without a problem.

7. Coiffed Bob

Anastasia Shuraeva

Don't feel like putting in that much work to look dolled up? We hear you loud and clear so we're sharing another bob option. You won't have to watch your curling iron heat up because this is strictly a job for your flat iron.

Put it on a low setting (under 400 degrees) and lightly curl the ends of your hair under. If you want to create the perfect side bang, you can add one or two curlers to it so it's held in place until the perfect time.

8. Volumized Bob

Leon Bennett/Getty Images

Another bob? Yes, please! This hairstyle is for anyone who wants VOLUME without having to spend all morning curling their hair. All you need to do is invest in a good roller setthat'll form the perfect curls overnight; kudos if they're thermal! Just make sure to part your hair the way you want prior to and you'll be looking like a glamorous queen the next day or night.

9. Pixie Cut

Vlada Karpovich

Although they can be high maintenance because of the salon upkeep, pixie cuts are fairly easy to style. You can using foaming lotion to create finger waves or created a slicked look that turns head. If you want to add a few curls to your hair, you'll need a small flat iron that can gently grabs each strand.

Which of these holiday hairstyles will you be rocking to your upcoming Christmas party?!

We ring in the New Year with a New Moon on December 30. This is the perfect opportunity to set our intentions with conviction. Unlike many New Year’s resolutions that we often abandon after a few weeks, the energy of the planets this year supports us to follow through with our goals and truly transform our lives.

Read your Weekly Horoscope for December 29 to January 5, including a glittering New Year's Eve horoscope.

New Year's Eve Horoscope Overview: What To Expect Astrologically This Week

Brit + Co

Many of us are aware of vague, innate blockages that prevent us from living life to the fullest, without fully understanding their origins. These blockages—whether insecurities or scars from childhood or even past lives—cling stubbornly to our consciousness, hindering us from achieving our goals and ideals. Chiron, known as the Wounded Healer and Shaman of the Zodiac, often holds the key to these obstructions in our birth charts.

This week, Mercury, the planet of communication and knowledge, forms a harmonious trine with Chiron. This alignment encourages us to delve deep, uncover our impediments, and, in doing so, heal and move forward. Writing can be a powerful tool in this process, as can conversations with a therapist or astrologer.

Big Lessons In Communication Are Coming This Week

Brit + Co

Also this week, Chiron squares Saturn, the planet of responsibility and structure. This aspect challenges us to put in the work to remove these obstructions and create a solid framework for healing and learning from our wounds. The Sun in Capricorn sextiles Saturn in Pisces on January 4, further supporting us to uncover hidden hindrances and to find ways to fully express ourselves.

On January 2, Venus, the planet of personal love, enters Pisces, the archetype of universal love. Venus will remain in Pisces until February 5, when it transitions into Aries. During this month-long transit, we are encouraged to express love in refined and dignified ways that encompass humanity and all living beings. This is a time to deepen personal love connections and strengthen bonds with those we care for, including our animal companions. Imagine the impact if we all focused on spreading this healing, loving energy in our interactions with the world!

However, the peaceful and loving energy of Venus in Pisces is tempered by Mars, the planet of war, which will again oppose Pluto, the planet of transformation. This marks the second of three exact oppositions, bringing aggressive and confrontational energy. While this alignment reflects potential escalation in global conflicts, on a personal level it offers an opportunity to channel this intensity toward achieving personal goals. Use this energy wisely to propel yourself toward freedom and positive change, but avoid aggressive behavior and potentially dangerous situations.
