This ultra-American treat has a strong reputation for adding sweet endings to sun-soaked summer days. But we have to admit, we think s’mores have been a little cheated. Their sticky, chocolatey goodness shouldn’t have to be enjoyed beside a campfire exclusively. Here are 26 delicious ways to add s’mores into more foods than you ever thought possible.
1. S’more Cookie Sandwiches: Oh, graham cracker, you know you’ll always hold a special place in our hearts, but come on. We’re talking double chocolate cookies here. We apologize to our dentists, but we simply had to do it. (via Brit + Co.)
2. S’mores Granola Bars: These bars are a sort of cross between a chocolate granola bar and Rice Krispie Treat. But it’s all good. The word “granola” in the title makes them totally healthy, right?! (via I Heart Eating)
3. Peanut Butter S’mores Baked Donuts: We’ve been know to put bacon, Froot Loops and sprinkles atop our favorite morning treat. Marshmallows only seem like a natural addition to the donut-topping family. (via I Heart Eating)
4. S’mores Muddy Buddies: Take the mess out of the classic summertime dessert. These would be a great alternative to the standard version for a party or a group of little ones. No flame required! (via Back for Seconds)
5. Ultimate S’mores Layer Cake: So many layers, so little time. We’ll admit that eating s’mores with a fork seems like some kind of childhood injustice but we’re willing to make an exception this once. (via Fat Girl Trapped in a Skinny Body)
6. S’mores Pie: Pie and s’mores are possibly two of the most American desserts out there. Do your country proud by combining the two into a rich, decadent dish. (via Pastry Affair)
7. S’mores Pop Tarts: Revitalize your favorite childhood treat in a buttery, preservative-free way. (via Handle the Heat)

9. S’mores Cookies: These neat treats were the 2008 grand prize winner in the Martha Stewart Cookie Contest. If Martha gives your cookie the okay, you know you’re doing something right. (via The Cooking Photographer)
10. Summer Bark: During the holidays, we gobble up more peppermint bark than we’d like to admit. Add a summer twist to the chocolatey treat with a graham cracker crust, mini marshmallows, peanuts and colorful sprinkles. (via A Periodic Table)
11. S’mores Milkshake: If it’s just too hot to stand over a fire, here’s a cooler option. Broil marshmallows in the oven until nice and brown, and combine them with vanilla ice cream, shaved chocolate and graham cracker crumbs. Enjoy it all through a straw! (via Spoon Full of Flavor)
12. S’more Pops: Stick a marshmallow on a stick, dip it in melted chocolate, roll it in crushed graham crackers and let chill. Whether or not you can wait for the chocolate to harden before you devour the pops is another question entirely. (via Gimme Some Oven)
