Sofia Vergara Never Thought She Could Wear This Spring Denim Trend

Sofia Vergara has good jeans and now she’s ready to share them with you. On Feb 4, the multi-hyphenate talent is launching the latest addition to her fashion empire, Sofía Jeans by Sofia Vergara sold exclusively on Walmart.com. With close to 100 items in the denim-focused collection (think jeans in a variety of fits including skinny, straight, and flare styles as well as a selection of jackets and graphic tees), each item is inspired by the women in her family and designed to help you channel a little of Vergara’s trademark confidence. The body inclusive line ranges from size 0-20 and offers women everywhere the kind of approachable sex-appeal that the star has made famous. Below Vergara dishes on the one denim trend she never thought she could pull off and the reason why she loves giving the evil eye.

Brit + Co: What is the one item of clothing or accessory that always gets you compliments?

Sofia Vergara: Yes, and actually it is funny…of course, the jeans. People always compliment me on the way I wear jeans. But I always have an evil eye accessory or detail on my shirt or handbag so that was something that I wanted to incorporate into my line. The tags all have an evil eye because I wanted to make it personal with something that I really wear a lot.

B+C: Is there a history behind the evil eye for you?

SV: I don’t know if it is in the Latin world but a lot of us love the evil eye. My mother used to always have a charm that had an evil eye to protect you from bad energy. I have just collected them because they are beautiful to look at.

B+C: Now that spring is on its way, let’s talk trends. Is there a new trend you could never see yourself wearing?

SV: When boyfriend jeans came out I was like “Who would wear that? That’s horrific! I would never do that!” And for a long long time, I didn’t even try it. Someone gifted me a pair and I kept it in my closet forever. Then one day I went to set and I put them on and I couldn’t go back. I absolutely loved them and now I have a pair in the collection a called the Veronica ($28) and the Paula Jogger ($27) that has the comfort of the boyfriend jean as well but it fits really nice and in a way that is a lot more modern. I had to eat my words.

B+C: What 2019 fashion trend are you dying to try?

SV: I have been seeing a lot of neon shirts and bags and I don’t know…I feel like if I buy a neon handbag or shirt that I could wear them with my jeans but I still haven’t decided.

B+C: What is the one fashion item that you are willing to spend major bucks on?

SV: I usually spend major dollars on shoes and bags because I think you can keep them forever. I mean, and I am not kidding, I have bags that I have had for 25 years and pairs of shoes that I have had for 15. You don’t have to update your shoes or accessories every year. But clothes I spend less so that I can get more stuff and be more fashionable.

B+C: Can you give us an example of one of your go-to pricey bags?

SV: I have a Cartier bag that is like the first expensive bag that I bought 25 years ago.

B+C: I love a Cartier bag. Nobody ever gives them credit.

SV: I love Cartier bags. It is true nobody gives them credit for amazing bags but they are the best.

B+C: What is your favorite way to style your jeans?

SV: I do all of it. I go to the set with a tee and jeans and a puffy jacket and then I wear the same ones with sequins to go and see Cher!

B+C:Has your style changed a lot since you started designing clothes?

SV: Yes, I mean now with Instagram you can see everything that people are wearing. You get more sophisticated and you try new things. But I have forever been a big believer in not being a fashion victim. I try to just wear the stuff that works for me. People will say, “You always look the same when you are on the red carpet!” Yes, I feel like I look great because I know exactly what works for me. I don’t wear the same thing that a girl that has no boobs or hips would wear because on me it would look crazy. So I don’t need to be on top of fashion to the point where I have to wear everything. I just go with what I think works.

B+C: What’s the one fashion item every woman should own for spring 2019 (other than your amazing denim)?

SV: I’ve been seeing a lot of camouflage jackets and I think that is something modern and fresh to add to your wardrobe but a jean jacket is the best. During the winter, you can wear it inside. But then pop it on during spring as it gets warmer and then for summer nights it is perfect.

The 2025 Oscars have come and gone. In addition to some incredible noms, like A Real Pain for Original Screenplay, Wicked for Best Picture, and Anora's Mikey Madison for Best Actress, there were some serious snubs. Because what do you mean Challengers didn't get nominated for ANYTHING?! Considering it won Best Score at the Golden Globes, I'd have thought it had that nomination secured, but the Academy had other plans.

Here's the full list of 2025 Oscar winners.

The Craziest 2025 Oscar nomination snubs.

Amazon MGM Studios

I really can't believe Zendaya didn't get nominated for her performance in Challengers. Her viral "crazy eyes" scene generated enough conversation to give her a nom in my opinion. I remember sitting in the theater and thinking, Wow, I've never seen her make that face before, can we replay that? And, of course, I'm mourning the fact the movie didn't get nominated for Best Score. "Match Point" playing during the ending of the movie will always be an Oscar-winning moment to me!

But in addition to Z, Selena Gomez also didn't get nominated for her role as Jessi Del Monte in Emilia Pérez, despite the fact the movie got a total of 13 nominations.

My group chat immediately blew up when we realized Sing Sing wasn't nominated for Best Picture.

Did your favorite movie of 2024 get the Oscar nominations you think it deserved, or was it totally snubbed? Let us know on Instagram! And you can still make 13 Award-Winning Cocktails after Oscar Sunday ;).

This post has been updated.

The great thing about fashion is that it has a circle of life. Silhouettes or accessories that go out of style tend to make a comeback eventually. This year, it's skinny jeans turn.

From "mom jeans" to "barrel jeans," denim on the baggier side has been big for the better part of the last decade. Now, skinny jeans are returning to the fashion scene, and it's time to update our outfit rotations.

Whether you want to put a modern twist on this classic denim cut or revisit some old staples, here's how to style your skinny jeans in 2025.

Scroll to find out the most flattering ways for how to style your skinny jeans in 2025!

Abercrombie

If you've been on TikTok lately, then you know that the go-to way to wear skinny jeans in the winter pretty much hasn't changed since circa 2015. We're talking about accessorizing with tall leather boots and an oversized coat.

This fit may not be anything new, but it's reliable and downright adorable. Go for a chunky heeled boot with a wide calf to juxtapose your tighter jeans, as well as a big trench, leather, or fur coat to add even more shape to your silhouette.

LOFT

Next, if you're a corporate girlie, the resurgence of skinny jeans offers up a ton of business casual outfit opportunities.

Stick to blue denim with a tucked-in blouse, tweed blazer, and leather loafers for an everyday outfit. Or, try out black ankle jeans with heels and a wool coat for a more polished look that can go straight from the office to after-work drinks.

Banana Republic Factory

Given the fitted and somewhat unassuming cut of skinny jeans, you'll be able to play around more with layering and statement tops, too.

For the past few years, baggy jeans have stolen the spotlight, often being paired with neutral and minimalist tops (think plain body suits or crop tops) to let the extra denim shine.

However, with skinny jeans, you shouldn't hesitate to go bigger and bolder up above. Experiment with ruffles, one-shoulder blouses, different proportions, and even peplums. This one-exiled shirt style is also making a return, whether you like it or not!

J.Crew

In 2025, don't be afraid to go for vibrant hues, either. Colors are in, especially as we get closer to spring, so dress in what makes you happy. Throw on a retro long-sleeve with medium-wash skinny jeans, a monochromatic outfit, or simply bright-colored accessories like sunglasses, jewelry, and footwear to make your look stand out.

Madewell

Last but not least, we can absolutely never go wrong with a good old-fashioned white button-down tucked into dark-wash skinny jeans. This outfit alone, coupled with some flats or sneakers, is a tried-and-true pairing that continues to deliver.

Or, you can spruce up this iconic look by tossing a blazer or trench on top, sporting heels, and accessorizing with a clutch or mini purse and sleek black sunglasses.

Gilmore Girls fans know the show like the back of their hand, but considering the show lasted 7 seasons, it makes sense that there's tons of trivia. Like the fact season 7 wasn't supposed to be the finale, or creator Amy Sherman-Palladino placed the series in a small town because she didn't know any of her neighbors growing upand wanted different for Rory.

But there's one foundational detail about Gilmore Girls you might not have known, and it could change the way you watch the show forever: apparently actress Alexis Bledel didn't like coffee! Yep, that's right. Here's how they supposedly got away with Rory drinking a cup o' Joe in every single episode.

Here's what Alexis Bledel reportedly had in her mug when Rory Gilmore drank coffee — and a surprising comment Alexis made about the drink.

Rory Gilmore loves coffee...but Alexis Bledel allegedly didn't.

Warner Bros. TV

One of the most recognizable details in Gilmore Girls is Lorelai and Rory's love for coffee. They drink it like water, and a clip from the show went viral for Rory sobbing about having to give it up. Well, Alexis Bledel probably wasn't that heartbroken because according to HuffPost, the actress didn't actually like coffee while filming the show (although according to Lauren Graham, “There is always coffee in my cup.”)

Considering one of the most viral and recognizable clips from the whole show is Rory sobbing about having to give up coffee — "And I love coffee!" — that is a shocking detail!

Netflix

However, Alexis Bledel might have actually set the record straight on the longstanding claim she always had soda in her mug instead (which seems to originally come from YourTango in 2013). Ahead of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life in 2016, the actress told Marie Claire that she loves any "winter beverage."

"Give me a hot drink and I’m happy," she says. "Hot cider, hot chocolate, coffee… I like all winter beverages!" You and me both sister.

There's a good chance Alexis' tastes changed from filming in 2000 and filming in 2016. There's also a good chance she did actually like coffee the whole time. But don't worry — we reached out to her reps for comment.

ICYMI, Starbucks is cutting 13 staple drinks from their menu. Even if your go-to order is no longer, there’s no need to fret – the chain still has plenty of similar options to choose from! As a former barista, I can guarantee you’ll find an alternative Starbucks order you love – one you just might love more than your previous drink!

Scroll on to see the 13 Starbucks drinks disappearing from menus starting March 4, plus what to order instead to satisfy your cravings.

Starbucks

Iced Matcha Lemonade

Alternative order: Green Tea Lemonade

Though Starbucks’ Green Tea Lemonade doesn’t have any matcha in it, you’ll still get a kick from the caffeinated green tea included in the sip. Plus, it’s still crafted with lemonade, so the citrus notes you like in the OG won’t be missed.

Starbucks

Espresso Frappuccino

Alternative order: Coffee Frappuccino

The Starbucks Espresso Frappuccino will be taken off menus on March 4, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get your frozen espresso fix. Their Coffee Frappuccino is a great alternative order because it still boasts sweet coffee and can be easily customized with an additional shot of espresso.

Starbucks

Caffè Vanilla Frappuccino

Alternative order: Coffee Frappuccino

The Coffee Frappuccino is another reliable alternative for Starbucks’ Caffè Vanilla Frappuccino since you still get a taste of coffee. If vanilla is what you're craving, you can easily request a few pumps of vanilla syrup as a customization.

Starbucks

Java Chip Frappuccino

Alternative order: Mocha Frappuccino

I’m honestly sad to see the Java Chip Frappuccino go. It’s been my go-to order since I was a kid, and I still order it on occasion when I want a little ‘treat myself’ moment. Luckily the Mocha Frappuccino will stay on Starbucks menus and gives a similar chocolate-coffee flavor.

Starbucks

White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino

Alternative order: Mocha Frappuccino

I fear there’s not a totally similar alternative order to the bygone White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino, but it’s very possible that you could order the Mocha Frappuccino with white chocolate sauce instead of the regular mocha to situate your white chocolate cravings.

Starbucks

Crème Frappuccinos (Chai, Caramel Ribbon Crunch, Double Chocolaty Chip, Chocolate Cookie Crumble, White Chocolate)

Alternative order: Vanilla Bean Frappuccino

Starbucks’ beloved non-caffeinated Crème Frappuccinos will no longer be offered starting March 4. Instead, I recommend trying out the Vanilla Bean Frappuccino and customizing it with your desired flavor – Starbucks still has so many syrups.

Starbucks

White Hot Chocolate

Alternative order: Hot Chocolate

Though the “official” White Hot Chocolate will no longer be available, Starbucks says you can still customize a regular Hot Chocolate with either mocha or white chocolate mocha sauce.

Starbucks

Royal English Breakfast Latte

Alternative order: London Fog Latte

Where the discontinued Royal English Breakfast Latte includes, well, Royal English Breakfast tea, you can still get the same sweet floral notes from a London Fog Latte.

Starbucks

Honey Almondmilk Flat White

Alternative order: Flat White

The Honey Almondmilk Flat White is sadly going away, but you can actually still order it, as long as you request some customizations that make it the exact same drink. Starting March 4, order the Flat White with almond milk and honey – or any milk and flavor of your choice!
