Spring’s Hottest Sunglasses Trends You Need in Your Life

Nothing gets us in the mood for much-needed warmer weather faster than a glass of rosé and a pair of new specs. Eyewear is one of the most expressive accessory statements there is. And, let’s be honest, expanding an ever-growing sunglass collection feeds our fashion-loving soul. With neon and transparent hues to monogrammed must-have shades in the mix, here are the sunglasses trends to try right now.

Neon necessities

Throwback brights that dominated your childhood are back in a big way. Neon adds a jolt of fun to any outfit. Plus, when you’re accessorizing with neon blue, red, pink, yellow or any other highlighter hue, your OOTD doesn’t require much else. According to Anna Longoni, Sunglass Hut head of sun assortment, “Contrasting electric shades not only make the Instagram moment, but they also evoke an ’80s vibe that merges street style with activewear.”

Brit + Co Picks (from left to right): Vera Wang Nyah ($150), Oakley WindJacket Sunglasses ($153), Le Specs + Adam Selman The Prowler ($119)

Logo Mania

If you’re into sporting labels loud and proud, then you’re in luck. This spring, monogrammed-enhanced eyewear is everywhere. From labeled lenses to visors that pop, there’s a style for everyone. “Look for cool silhouettes with repetitive logo detailing to achieve this fashion-forward trend and let your brand loyalty be known,” suggests Longoni.

Brit + Co Picks (from left to right): Giorgio Armani AR6084 ($300), DiorClub1 Transparent Logo Sun Visor ($390),Gucci 60mm Square Sunglasses ($595)

Transparent Tones

Neon not your thing? Transparent cyber tones is a more understated color movement for spring. “Keep an eye out for acid-washed bright tones in fun pastels and nude color

palettes to really amplify your entire ensemble,” advises Longoni. And if you really want to embrace the look, make sure the lenses are as tinted and high-tech as the frames.

Brit + Co Picks (from left to right): Coach HC7101B ($200), Prada PR 11VS ($350), Tiffany TF4158 Tiffany Diamond Point ($380)

Angular All-Stars

“Unique-shaped frames including rectangles and oversized squares are having a moment and if you don’t feel comfortable trying an over-the-top clothing fashion trend, sunglasses are an easy way to experiment and expand your wardrobe,” explains Longoni.

Brit + Co Picks (from left to right): Felix Gray Jemison ($95), Cream Tortoise Zou Bisou Sunglasses ($184), Persol PO2435S ($320)

Heavy Metal

Metal is the most versatile of eyewear styles since the shapes and colors can change, but the unique hardware details always take center stage. “Hexagonal, pentagonal, and butterfly frames add a dose of quirky cool to any look,” says Longoni, but you can never go wrong in a classic cat-eye shade or aviator. Whatever you do, keep a polishing cloth on hand though — no one likes smudgy (metal) sunnies.

Brit + Co Picks (from left to right): D’Blanc Apricot La Luna Sunglasses ($180), Foster Grant TL 01 ($20), Amavii Philip 18K Gold Frames ($195)

Amazon is without a doubt THE spot for accessories — I get all of my jewelry, hats and purses from there. Given their wide selection of quality products that won't break the bank, Amazon is my stomping ground for a durable pair of sunnies, too. I mean, in my very expert opinion, you can honestly never have too many pairs of sunglasses anyway. With that in mind, here are 10 pairs of Amazon sunglasses to wear this summer — all for under $20!

Amazon

SOJOS Retro Oval Sunglasses

These shades are a #1 best seller right now! You have so many different lenses to choose from to match any occasion. Besides their cute style, they have a UV 400 protection to keep your eyes safe. And seriously, you can't go wrong with these $16 shades that fit any face shape.

Amazon

GUVIVI Trendy Oval Sunglasses

I LOVE the vintage 90s look you can achieve with oval sunglasses like these. They can dress up any outfit or be worn casually for a day at the beach. You can shop them in many colors, but I personally would opt for a black or brown so you can wear them with anything. These shades are sturdy, durable and only $14.

Amazon

Mosanana Trendy Rectangle Sunglasses

Any outfit with a statement piece is right up my ally. Why not add a pair of chunky shades to your repertoire. I find the thicker the glasses the more comfortable they sit on your face, and they are good for any occasion. These $14 glasses are available in both neutrals and fun colors for a pop.

Amazon

SOJOS Classic Polarized Aviator Sunglasses

Aviator sunglasses will NEVER fail you. I promise. This shape is timeless and won't go out of style. (at least over my dead body) This pair on Amazon is only $15 and comes with polarized lenses for long term eye protection.

Amazon

WearMe Pro Reflective Lens Round Trendy Sunglasses

Though I cannot personally rock this shape, I have seen countless people around me wearing these glasses. These round sunnies are the perfect Ray Band dupe that won't harm your wallet, but the quality and comfort is still there. WearMe Pro is a small family owned business, so you know that your glasses are made with care. Get yourself a pair for only $14.

Amazon

Colrea Trendy Cat Eye Sunglasses

A cat eye glasses shape is so effortlessly chic. Plus, who doesn't love a big lens? They look amazing on literally any face shape. These Colrea glasses are made with care and quality and are perfect for an elevated look. There are many lens color options, but I would personally stick to a simple black lens for a timless look. And only for $15!

Amazon

AIEYEZO Retro Square Sunglasses

We are going back in time with these retro 70s aviator glasses. The vintage look is always trending, and these sunnies are no exception. The double bridge style is unique but manages to suit everyone. Bonus, these $13 glasses are unisex so literally anyone can rock these bad boys.

Amazon

Dollger Square Oversized Sunglasses

Kim Kardashian called, she wants her sunglasses back. I am obsessed with shades that make you look like an off duty celebrity, just like these. They provide style, but also great eye protection. This shape is lightweight and comfortable but can always dress up an outfit to make you feel like serious business for only $14.

Amazon

SOJOS Classic Square Oversized Sunglasses

Another timeless sunglass shape that gives chic energy. I find this shape flattering on anyone of any age. The nose bridge detailing is super cute and makes these shades unique. This $16 classic square sunnies are dainty yet durable.

Amazon

FEISEDY Classic Women Sunglasses

The best way to incorporate some color into a bland outfit is with some colorful sunnies. The rectangle shape with pointed edges is chic and unique. These sunnies look high end and are sustainable for any activity, You can find these in pink, blue, champagne, and more for only $16.

You'd think someone with acne-prone skin wouldn't buy viral beauty finds without doing thorough research, but I'm not above trying to recreate all the latest makeup trends at home. All this did was remind me that everything isn't for everyone — and that's okay! Well...it's not okay I fee like I wasted money, but at least I know what to stay away from. And now I'm here to help you figure out what to avoid as well!

Even though this products didn't work for me, that doesn't mean you can't or shouldn't use them. These are just my least faves of the year — take 'em or leave 'em!

Here are all the overrated beauty finds I wish I wouldn't have bought

Amazon

1. MILK Hydro Grip Primer

I should've known better than to buy this again, but I wanted to see if my skin would react better to it. The first time I tried to use this, I broke out along my jaws in tiny, red bumps. They were itchy and eventually turned into dark spots that took me over a year to get rid of.

Instead of letting that be the red flag that kept me away from this beauty find, I decided to use it in place of my trusted e.l.f. Cosmetics Power Grip Primer I've been relying on. Two things happened:

  1. It created a beautiful base for my makeup.
  2. I didn't break out, but my faced still felt itchy.

I even switched my makeup brushes and checked to make sure other makeup products weren't expired. The culprit continued to be this primer so it's made it to my overrated list.

Amazon

2. KORA Organics Kakadu Plum Vitamin C Serum

I was initially sent this to test, but I decided to buy it myself to see if I truly like it. While it was easy to add to my skincare routine lineup, I realized I actually didn't need to spend $70+ for an effective Vitamin C serum. The only difference between this serum and the one I truly love are their colors and textures.

This one has a slightly yellowish-orange tint to it while being a little thicker compared to the Timeless Skin Care Vitamin C serum I use. The latter is thinner and 100% transparent, plus the odor is slightly stronger. However, both of them aid in smoother skin, smaller pores, and a healthy glow.

I honestly wouldn't buy this one again just because I can get the same benefits for a lesser price.

Amazon

3.NYX Cosmetics Fat Oil Lip Drip

This is a controversial take, but I honestly didn't love the NYX Fat Oil Lip Drip. Although I love the color payoff, it was too sticky for my liking. I saw reviews that mentioned this, but I've purchased lip glosses other people didn't love that worked for me in the past. However, the reviews are telling the truth: the stickiness takes away from what could've been a great formula.

I'll just stick to my Tower 28 Lip Softie Hydrating Lip Treatment in Ube Vanilla!

Amazon

4. L'Oréal Voluminous Panorama Washable Mascara

I know people love this beauty find because it is great. I just didn't think the hype was enough to convince me to buy it again because my essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara gets the job done for $5. I will say I love the washable feature of L'Oréal's version, but it's still not enough to make me willingly spend over $10 for it.

As great of a product as this is, it's overrated to me because of the price tag.

Sephora

5. Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech Medium Coverage Foundation

Sigh...it's so hard for me to admit this, but this Haus Labs foundation has become my most overrated beauty find of 2024. It's not that it doesn't work for a few hours, but my skin prefers tinted moisturizers more than anything. I talked about it briefly on TikTok, but skin tints feel like you're not wearing anything on your face.

I'm always really oily after wearing this foundation for a few hours, but I can get extended wear out of the Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Tint I've been wearing. I like to think it's because it has vegan collagen, ceramides, and cactus extract in it whereas this foundation has ingredients like fermented arnica in it.

Both do a great job of calming inflammation, but something about this foundation makes my skin think it's incredibly dry.

We're officially living in the future. Ray-Ban paired up with Meta to create Ray-Ban Stories — AKA smart sunglasses. While the features of the glasses are probably fairly simple for the technology giant at this point, I was completely mind blown by the capabilities that this trendy accessory has. I went on two lengthy hikes (5 miles each) to try out the battery life, camera, microphone and bluetooth offerings. Here’s what I thought.

Image via Olivia Bria

The first point I should make about these glasses — I opted for the Wayfarer shiny brown pair with brown lenses — is that they need to be charged for optimal use. If the battery isn't already at 100%, it takes about 30 minutes to charge them enough for use. The glasses will inform you of the battery percentage through a voice speaker (Tony Stark style) if they're low on battery, but my mistake is that I assumed they would be fully charged after the 30 minutes. They were unfortunately only at 26%, so they died halfway through my first hike (hence me trekking through an early morning hike again the next day).

Alongside charging the sunglasses, you also have to download the “View' app, where the accessory downloads your captured photos, handles settings, and even creates a video montage of your creations. The app provides step-by-step instructions, so I would say anyone who's used any technology ever is able to wear the sunglasses easily. Once I was fully equipped with the app, I set off for my hike.

Like most hikes, the views aren’t stunning until you arrive at the top, so I refrained from taking any photos or videos until the real view set in. Instead, I called my grandma to wish her a happy birthday (and of course, see how the microphone works paired with my iPhone 14 pro). My grandma claims that the audio was clear as day on her end, and I had no issues hearing her either over some very loud LA traffic. After, I played my favorite podcast and songs on Spotify — I'm definitely not used to listening to music so clearly without having Airpods in, so I was a bit taken back by it.

Here’s the one caveat I have with the sound: if you play the audio loud enough, people around you are able to hear it as well. But you can change the volume if you just slide your finger on the right leg of the sunglasses. And when you push your hair back with the sunglasses, which most of us girlies just love to do, the sound continues but you have trouble hearing it. I would classify those pitfalls as pretty minor, but that obviously depends on the preferences of the individual user.

Unfortunately, my sunglasses died at the exact moment I made it to the top of the mountain on the first hike, so the built-in camera feature didn’t get the attention it deserved. However, the second hike lent itself some beautiful photos. And the quality was OUTSTANDING. I say that keeping in mind that these are still sunglasses, but the scenery was videoed and photographed at my eye level, which is a really cool perspective that you wouldn’t get from your phone. Just check out some photos and videos I took below to make the determination for yourself.

In order to snag pics, there is a right side button that you can easily click on and off. The sunglasses will make a beeping noise to let you know when it starts recording and when you successfully end the recording. Or, you can just say, “Hey Facebook, stop recording,” and the feature will do it for you. It’s pretty much Siri but in a different font. You then have to download the content on the app, but make sure you're on Wifi or it will not complete.

With the overall capabilities, I think the price point is worth the splurge — especially if you are sick of earbuds and describe yourself as a more tech-driven individual. I honestly was pleasantly surprised that the set price of the glasses are $299. While that definitely is a good chunk of money, the glasses are a technological investment similar to your computer or phone, so it’s really up to you to determine what you're willing to spend your hard earned cash on. I will say though — they look super cute with any outfit! 😎

Studio McGee has spent the last decade inspiring us with a blend of accessible and elevated designs, creating beautiful and totally livable spaces. In her 2025 Home Decor Trends report, Shea McGee emphasizes that home decor trends evolve gradually over time, and I couldn’t agree more. Unlike the fast-paced world of fashion, where trends shift every season, these design moves develop organically over time, and that's good for your wallet and taking your time to create a space you love. Get inspired to refresh your home in 2025 with a few new accents, from embellishments like fringe to maybe a little western or seaside art.

Here are Studio McGee's 2025 Home Decor Trend Predictions, with a few surprises!

Romantic Silhouettes

Take Romantic Silhouettes, for example. This is a trend we've seen steadily gain traction over the past few years. Think curvy furniture, delicate floral prints, and soft blush hues — when curated thoughtfully, these elements can become timeless staples in your home.

Western Cowboy

This is a design trend that totally surprised me, but I'm so happy to see it in the mix. Elements like leather furniture, rustic accessories, equestrian art, even wood walls, shown in this office designed by A1000XBetter, are making an impact in 2025 and beyond. But Shea notes that you can take this trend literally or just be inspired by the look. You can also mix it with other styles to personalize it for you. Add romantic pillows or ruffled tablecloths like McGee & Co. x Loeffler Randall Gardenia Ruffle Border Tablecloth – things you love that make it yours vs. based solely on one trend.

Saturated Colors

Shea predicts that rich hues like deep browns, oxblood red, and earthy greens will continue to dominate home decor colors going into 2025. House of Rolison's bathroom brown is an excellent example of this beautiful trend.

Pattern Drenching

Embracing a single pattern and drenching an entire room in it — from walls to pillows, headboards, and curtains — is a surprise trend for 2025. This maximalist approach, which has been quietly gaining traction, draws inspiration from Arts and Crafts designers like William Morris and has been in and out of vogue since the Victorian era.

McGee & Co.

Embellishments

This is a trend you can easily DIY to add an extra layer of charm to your decor. Think playful details like fringe accents —beautifully shown in McGee & Co.'s Philippa Settee — along with tassels, pleats, ruffles, and rope. It’s all about embracing texture and whimsy, so have fun with it!

McGee & Co.

Seaside Inspiration

Coastal decor has long been an influence in design and you can be inspired by it in many forms, from shell accents to beach-inspired artwork like McGee & Co.'s Distant Coastline art to textured seagrass baskets and jute rugs. Even the soothing hues of the sea — think soft blues, sandy neutrals, and gentle greens — can inspire your 2025 spaces.
