Anne Hathaway finally confirmed her return to the world of Genovia with an Instagram video in early October. But will Chris Pine be joining her?

While Chris Pine claims he has no clue whether he'll return, his recent haircut (which is very similar to Nicholas') has fans calling his bluff.

"I need Chris Pine to return as Nicholas Devereaux looking like this in Princess Diaries 3, and I will not be taking questions at this time," one X user tweeted, while another agrees, "oh he's definitely already taping the 3rd movie as we speak and you can't convince me otherwise."

Rom-com fans will be thrilled to know Adele Lim, who worked on Crazy Rich Asians (one of the best rom-coms of the 21st Century) will direct. We don't have a release date yet, but it appears pre-production has begun. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Supergirl and Quantum Leap writer Aadrita Mukerji is working on the script, and producer Debra Martin Chase (who worked on the first two films) is returning to produce.
