Starbucks Launched the Millennial Pink Latte of Your Dreams… But There’s a Catch

We’ve seen plenty of Insta-worthy treats as of late, from Starbuck’s new Peach Blossom latte in China to Disney’s rose gold Minnie ear cupcakes (yum!). Our favorite coffee chain’s latest latte just might trump them all, however, and guys? It’s MILLENNIAL PINK!

Just in time for Valentine’s Day and for a limited time only, Starbucks Japan has released what it’s calling the Pink Medley Tea Latte. The delectable social media goldmine combines Teavana’s Joyful Medley tea (a blend of orange, strawberry, peach, and apple flavors) with frothy milk for a foamy twist on the company’s Insta-famous Pink Drink.

The only catch? You’ll have to travel overseas to get it… at least for now.

Not all hope is not lost, however! If you’ll recall, the Cherry Blossom Frappuccino that launched stateside this past spring was not too far off from Starbuck’s Japan’s wildly popular Sakura Blossom beverages, meaning a US take on this little delight could be in the cards down the way (we hope!).

Then again, it’s also as good of reason as any to travel: Pack a bag and grab your passport — we’ll meet you at the airport!

Good news for those of you who are already growing tired of pumpkin spice season: Starbucks’ holiday menu for 2024 was just leaked, and it reportedly brings back a ton of seasonal favorites starting next month!

From a classic Peppermint Mocha to the beloved Caramel Brûlée Latte, the recent menu rumors say a new Refresher flavor, 6 unique cold foams, and 4 new bakery items are on the way as the holidays draw near – including many items we predicted. This lineup is honestly wild. The new additions are rumored to hit Starbucks stores on November 7.

If you just can’t wait to order off the Starbucks holiday menu, here’s every offering reportedly coming to your closest cafe!

Drinks

@markie_devo

NEW! Cran-Merry Orange Refresher

The Starbucks holiday menu leak reports that this brand-new Refresher is packed with sweet orange, tart cranberry and warm spice. It also has cranberry inclusions and is order-able mixed with water, lemonade or coconut milk.

Starbucks

Iced Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai

Chai is a totally underrated holiday flavor in our opinion. This iced drink is crafted with warm chai spices and creamy oat milk, then gets topped with even more frothed oat milk infused with gingerbread-flavored syrup and a sprinkling of spice.

Starbucks

Peppermint Mocha

You know it, and you love it! The Peppermint Mocha has hit Starbucks menus year after year, making it a total statement sip for the holiday season. This drink (available hot or iced) combines peppermint syrup, mocha sauce, and your milk of choice with espresso for a festive feel. It's traditionally topped with whipped cream and tasty chocolate curls.

Starbucks

Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha

Similar to the classic Peppermint Mocha, this bev swaps chocolate for white chocolate sauce.

Starbucks

Caramel Brûlée Latte

This rumored Starbucks holiday menu drink is very rich. The sweet caramel brûlée sauce totally completes the sip, along with plenty of whipped cream and crunchy lil' brûlée bits for textural variety.

Starbucks

Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte

Literally like a sugar cookie in liquid form, this super-sweet latte is handcrafted with blonde espresso (it's sweeter and lighter than Starbucks' traditional espresso shots), sugar cookie syrup, and almond milk for a little bit of a lighter effect. It's finished off with red and green sprinkles to up the seasonal vibes even more!

Starbucks

Chestnut Praline Latte

This nutty latte – rumored to return for 2024 – brings on notes of chestnut and praline, which is a nice, flavorful departure from the very expected peppermint you'll see everywhere come holiday time.

Starbucks

Salted Pecan Crunch Cold Brew

Initially introduced for fall 2024, it appears as though the Salted Pecan Crunch Cold Brew will stay on the Starbucks menu well into winter. The salted, pecan-flavored cold foam offers that classic sweet n' salty twist you'd enjoy on fall snacks like trail mix or dipped pretzels. The best part is you can now also order the cold foam in non-dairy form!

Starbucks

Holiday Cold Foams

Per the menu leak, Starbs will be bringing back four beloved holiday-flavored cold foamsand two new options for 2024. They're the perfect drink customization to add to your iced coffees and cold brews if you don't want to order an all-out holiday drink. See all the predicted flavors below:

  • NEW! Gingerbread
  • NEW! Salted Pecan
  • Peppermint Chocolate
  • Sugar Cookie
  • Chestnut Praline
  • Caramel Brûlée

Snacks

@markie_devo

NEW! Dark Toffee Bundt

Per the menu leak, this sweet toffee-flavored bundt will be topped with holly- and berry-shaped sprinkles. How perfect for the holiday season!

@markie_devo

NEW! Turkey Sage Danish

This savory snack reportedly includes "turkey sausage with creamy béchamel sauce in a pastry." It sounds like Thanksgiving in a single treat, and we can't wait to try it!

@markie_devo

NEW! Penguin Cookie

This cutie sugar cookie is decorated like a lil' penguin bundled up for the cold.

Starbucks

Snowman Cake Pop

Starbucks' classic vanilla cake pop gets a wintry twist with an adorable snowman face – this sweet really makes us crave the holiday season!

Starbucks

Sugar Plum Cheese Danish

This cream cheese-filled danish is topped with a slightly-spiced sugar plum jam. It's been one of our go-to's over the past few holiday seasons at Starbucks!

Starbucks

Cranberry Bliss Bar

The Cranberry Bliss Bar has become an absolute staple on the Starbucks holiday menu, and for good reason! This blondie treat is smothered in a delicious cream cheese frosting and sprinkled with orange zest and dried cranberries for added seasonal enjoyment.

What People Are Saying About The Leaked Starbucks Holiday Menu

Though most commenters on @markie_devo's Starbucks holiday menu leak post seem to be excited for the upcoming rumored menu items, some Starbs fans noticed a few things missing from the leaked lineup.

"Still missing eggnog 😢," someone noted.

"Where is the toasted white chocolate mocha 😢😢😢😢," another questioned.

"ALLLLLL these cold foams, and not the one people want: Irish Cream," one more commenter said.

"Ugh still no gingerbread loaf 😭," a disappointed user wrote. "Everything else looks bomb though!"

Despite the Eggnog Latte, Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, Irish Cream Cold Brew, and Gingerbread loaf not being part of this year's menu predictions, the holiday season is our favorite time of year at Starbucks. Many more users share the same sentiment:

"So excited for all chestnut praline shaken espressos & cranberry bliss bars 🎄🎄🎄🎄," someone wrote.

"Oh hell yess all the chestnut praline offerings," another rejoiced.

The Summer I Turned Pretty wouldn't be the series we know and love without Cousins Beach, but it appears that for season 3 of the hit Prime Video show, we're going to Paris too! After attending Paris Fashion Week, Lola Tung (who plays Belly) was seen filming with your favorite Fisher brother — and it's one scene that's not in the book.

@cali_spann1 this is very shocking for me chat #tsitp♬ american wedding - yen

Lola Tung and Gavin Casalegno (Jeremiah Fisher) were seen filming in front of Notre Dame. Belly's wearing a white tank and jeans, and carrying a suitcase and backpack, while Jeremiah's wearing jeans and a brown jacket. Book fans will remember that in We'll Always Have Summer, Belly and Jeremiah get engaged but call off the wedding at the last second when Jeremiah realizes Belly will always be in love with Conrad.

In college, Belly spends a few weeks in Spain, and strikes up a pen pal relationship with Conrad. Us Conrad girlies have known they were endgame since the very beginning, which is why this set leak is totally unexpected. It looks like Prime Video changed the location of Belly's travels from Spain to Paris, and I'm wondering if Jeremiah is trying to rekindle their relationship. (Unless they just run into each other like Blair and Chuck did in Gossip Girl).

The reunion in this clip ends in a hug, and fans in the comments are torn on whether it'll be a friendly hug or a romantic hug. Although, after two seasons of Jeremiah falling more and more in love with Belly, I'm not sure it's possible for him not to have romantic feelings toward her. At least, not for awhile.

All in all, The Summer I Turned Pretty fans have lost their minds over the new scene — especially considering Belly's time in Europe is merely mentioned in the books. Now it looks like we'll get to actually see what goes down! One TikTok comment also hints we'll see Conrad and Belly reunite in a hotel. Other TikTok users are losing it over how big Belly's backpack is, but I can promise you that when you travel around Europe, you want a backpack that huge!

All in all, I'm just hoping we see Belly explore and gain some life experience. "I for one would love several episodes of Belly's time in Spain [or Paris] maybe using it as way for her to get some space and perspective and finding herself along the way," one Reddit user says.

She'll definitely get to try out her French, and see tons of sites she's only read about before. Growing up in a small town and seeing the same group of people every year is so special, but exploring somewhere totally new is also invaluable. I want to see Belly fall in love with the view of Sacré-Cœur at sunrise. I want to see her try French food she hates in one bite, and then a pastry she can't live without in the next. Europe is the perfect place to fall in love with life — and it'll make Belly appreciate Cousins Beach even more.

Miracles happen once in a while, which is apparent because The Princess Diaries 3 is in the works at Disney, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It's been 20 years since we last saw Mia, Lily, and Queen Clarisse (and since all three took part in one of the greatest birthday party scenes in film history. Tons of snacks! Karaoke! Mattress surfing!).

The Princess Diaries and The Princess Diaries 2 remain heartfelt, uplifting, and empowering, and we'll never get tired of them. Plus, the resurgence of Y2K pop culture just makes dressing up like Mia more fun than it already was. While much of this reported film (including the cast) is still rumor-only, we do have a few tidbits to share and will keep updating as news is released.

When is the Princess Diaries 3 release date?

Walt Disney Studios

Rom-com fans will be thrilled to know Adele Lim, who worked on Crazy Rich Asians (one of the best rom-coms of the 21st Century) will direct. We don't have a release date yet, but it appears pre-production has begun. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Supergirl and Quantum Leap writer Aadrita Mukerji is working on the script, and producer Debra Martin Chase (who worked on the first two films) is returning to produce. We're all in favor of women behind the scenes, so this news gets two thumbs up from us!

Anne Hathaway (whose new movie The Idea Of You is streaming on Prime Video now) recently revealed the movie's development is going very well. “We’re in a good place,” she tells V Magazine. “That’s all I can say. There’s nothing to announce yet. But we’re in a good place.”

What has Anne Hathaway said about Julie Andrews?

Buena Vista Pictures/Walt Disney Studios

In her recent cover story with Vanity Fair, Anne Hathaway talks about how working with Julie Andrews changed her life forever. “She respected that [fans] had a relationship to her work that spanned their entire lives and made it a beautiful experience for them,” she says of Julie stopping to sign autographs every day during The Princess Diaries. “I don’t know that I was always capable of that. So I’ve learned that I want to handle myself in a way that I’m going to be proud of at a later date.”

Anne also has a major appreciation for howThe Princess Diaries franchise as a whole turned her life upside down. "This was the film that changed my life," she says. "It felt so big at the time, and it wound up being so big, and it's kind of just gotten bigger as my life has progressed...So this is a total fusion of life and work, and all the things, and I'm just so proud to be in this movie."

What is The Princess Diaries 3 about?

Buena Vista Pictures/Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures

We don't have an official script, but according to sources, the film might continue the storyline from the previous two movies. Based on the books by Meg Cabot, both films follow Mia Thermopolis (Anne Hathaway), an awkward high schooler who learns she is next in line to be queen of Genovia. Makeovers, royal balls, romance, and tons of fun follow.

Gary Marshall, the director of the first two movies who passed away in 2016, told People that one idea he shared with Anne Hathaway was to set The Princess Diaries 3 in the big city: "It looks like we want to do Princess Diaries 3 in Manhattan." As someone who lives in New York City, I might be biased, but setting the story in Manhattan would be INCREDIBLE. Would Mia hang out at the Met? Would the movie feature any nods to The Devil Wears Prada? Anne Hathaway, if you need another background extra, hit me up!

Who's in The Princess Diaries 3 cast?

Buena Vista Pictures/Walt Disney Studios

It has not been confirmed whether Hathaway will be returning if the film goes into production, but based on the fact that she has publicly supported a third installment multiple times, we're hoping that she'd star again! Julie Andrews, Chris Pine, and Raven-Symoné have also been a part of the franchise, but there's no word on whether they'd return either.

In December of 2022, Variety reported that Julie Andrews doubts that she'll be able to return to the franchise, but we're still holding out hope!

Where can you watch The Princess Diaries 3?

Buena Vista Pictures/Walt Disney Studios

It's TBD whether this film would release in theaters or on streaming, but you can watch both The Princess Diariesand The Princess Diaries 2on Disney+ now ;).

What's the Princess Diaries cast saying?

Buena Vista Pictures/Walt Disney Studios

Don't fret, Princess Diaries fans, Chris Pine is TOTALLY on board for a Genovian reunion. "Yeah, I'm here! I'm here for it," Pine told Entertainment Tonight. "Give me a phone call or an email."

The actor (and our personal crush) played Lord Nicholas Deveraux in 2004's The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. Deveraux rivaled Anne Hathaway's Princess Mia Thermopolis for the throne, becoming her friend and love interest.

Recently, Hathaway toldPeople that the a third installment in the franchise was still in development and far from production, but it was "thrilling" to "see the level of excitement for it." However, while the movie industry gears turn slowly, she is still very much advocating for the long-awaited three-quel.

Gilmore Girls turned 24 on October 5, 2024, and naturally, I have no chill about it. I'm breaking out all the best Gilmore-approved recipes and every single Gilmore Girls fall activity I can squeeze into my calendar. And, of course, that includes a cup of coffee and a Gilmore Girls rewatch. If you ask me, this show's best fall episodes will always include the pilot, and on my latest rewatch, I noticed one moment between Lorelai and her parents that I think actually proves Richard and Emily were never the villains Lorelai made them out to be.

Warner Bros. Television

We all know the story of Lorelai's childhood: feeling stifled by the rules and societal expectations Emily placed on her, constantly looking for a way to escape, and eventually running away at 16 after learning she was pregnant with Rory. And ahead of Rory's 16th birthday, Lor realizes the only way Rory will be able to attend the prestigious Chilton Academy is if Emily and Richard help her with the tuition. So she pushes down her pride, grabs a cup o' joe, and reluctantly returns to her childhood home to ask for a check.

If you watch closely, Emily Gilmore is actually really excited to see Lorelai when she first opens the door. It breaks my heart just a little bit because, based on the "Is it Easter already?" comment (and Lorelai not knowing anything about Emily's life), this is probably the first interaction they've had in months, and it's clear Lorelai would rather be anywhere else. Plus, when Lorelai finally explains the situation, and promises she'll pay them back because she doesn't ask for favors, there's a moment where Emily and Richard look disappointed in the fact Lorelai doesn't give them the opportunity to be involved in their lives or spoil Rory. And this brings us to one of the show's most defining details: Friday Night Dinners.

Warner Bros. Television

Despite the unrealistic nature of the Friday Night Dinners (you're telling me neither Lorelai nor Rory had Friday night plans for 7 YEARS?!), it serves as a fun way for Emily to host her family, an area where she definitely shines, and to just catch up with the girls. She even says it herself, that if she's going to be involved in Rory's life financially, that she wants to be involved socially and emotionally.

There are a lot of things Richard and Emily could have done different (isn't that true for literally all parents?), but I think the entire idea of Friday Night Dinners proves they were never the outright toxic villains Lor made them out to be, because all they want is to spend time with Lorelai and Rory. Forbes highlights that the benefits of family dinners include higher self-esteem and lower rates of substance abuse and depression (stats Emily would totally know about as our resident etiquette extraordinaire).

Warner Bros. Television

Who knows, if the Gilmores had always had Friday Night Dinners, healthy communication, and time simply spent together, Lorelai might not have felt like her childhood was so stifling after all. But even though Gilmore Girls' Friday Night Dinners don't come without their fair share of fights, the fact they have them at all is a huge step in the right direction. Emily is willing to try and rebuild her relationship with Lorelai; Lorelai is willing to participate for Rory. And this single event reignites relationships between the family, and slowly but surely heals a lot of wounds. Rory and Richard start golfing, Lorelai eventually gets Emily to crack a joke. And in all their imperfection, Lorelai, Emily, and Richard really get to know each other again, and start to create a new life together. And that moment is one of the most beautiful parts of the whole series.

Is there a Friday Night Dinner in every episode of Gilmore Girls?

Warner Bros. Television

Yes there's a Friday Night Dinner in almost every episode of Gilmore Girls! There are over 70 dinner scenes.

What do they eat at Friday Night Dinner?

Warner Bros. Television

Gilmore Girls' Friday Night Dinners usually involve dinner party-level cuisine, from pot roasts and vegetables to lamb and soup. (And there's always wine). But there's also an episode where Rory gets them to loosen up and have some pizza!
