Feel FOMO No More — Starbucks New Rose Honey Latte Is Available in the States, Y’all

If you’re feeling some serious FOMO over the release of the new Starbucks Strawberry Honey Blossom Créme Frappuccino in Thailand and Hong Kong, then you’re going to love what the Starbucks Reserve has just released in the States. You can now get your hands on a Rose Honey Latte ($6 for a grande) at Starbucks Reserve bars across the country. We got a chance to chat with Amy Dilger, a Starbucks Research and Development manager, about the creation of the beverage.

The Rose Honey latte is made with Reserve espresso and milk, combined with a “fragrant infusion of caramelized honey, rose water, and earthy cinnamon.” We tried it and it’s a little different from the usual Starbucks line up. It’s light and airy but warm and comforting at the same time, making it a real treat worth the trip to a special Reserve bar. And yes, you can absolutely taste the rose with the espresso. “We wanted to introduce a floral note, because our Reserve coffees have lovely floral and citrus notes,” says Dilger. “The rose water heightens those notes.”

Perfect for the first few blustery days of spring, the Rose Honey latte is based on a popular Middle Eastern drink. “The beverage was inspired by sahlep, a hot, comforting Turkish beverage popular in the winter,” says Dilger. “Sahlep is hot milk (or water) thickened with orchid root powder and flavored with rose water, cinnamon, and sometimes cardamom.”

If you’re more of an “iced coffee all the time” type of person, then you should swing by the Starbucks Reserve in Seattle and try another new beverage: the Gin Barrel-Aged Cold Brew. The beans for this cold brew are rotated over time in a gin barrel before roasting so they take on hints and aromas from the barrel. It’s bright, summery, and completely non-alcoholic (so you can still take it to your morning meeting).

If you try the new Rose Honey latte, snap a pic and share it with us on Instagram.

Starbucks fans, the Starbucks summer menu for 2025 is coming way sooner than you think! Launching next month, the coffee chain gave us a cheeky lil’ sneak peek at their next seasonal lineup, and it looks stacked.

Scroll on to see everything coming to the Starbucks summer menu in May!

Meet The Starbucks Summer Menu For 2025!

Starbucks

Here's the full lineup for this year's Starbucks summer menu:

  • NEW! Iced Horchata Oatmilk Shaken Espresso
  • Summer-Berry Refreshers (Summer-Berry Lemonade Refresher and Summer Skies Drink to return)
  • NEW! Strawberries & Cream Cake Pop
Below, we dive into each item so you can know what to expect once these menu items drop in May! We don't have an official launch date yet, but will keep you updated here the moment we know more details.

Starbucks

NEW! Iced Horchata Oatmilk Shaken Espresso

Yummm. Inspired by horchata, we anticipate this new shaken espresso flavor from Starbucks to have notes of cinnamon and coconut, both of which pair really well for a light and refreshing sip – much needed in the summer! Per some Starbucks employees on Reddit, it looks like it'll be crafted using an all-new horchata syrup, too. 👀

Starbucks

Summer-Berry Refreshers

That's right: Starbucks' boba drinks are officially coming back! Launching next month, the chain's blue-tinted Summer-Berry Refreshers come with a serving of raspberry-flavored popping boba to elicit summertime fun. The boba pearls were very divisive among baristas and customers when they hit menus in 2024.

Last year, this lineup of Refreshers came in three variations: the Summer-Berry Refresher, the Summer-Berry Lemonade Refresher, and the Summer Skies Drink (mixed with coconut milk). The last two will definitely be returning to the summer menu for 2025! After a taste test from last year's launch, the Summer Skies ended up being our favorite.

NEW! Strawberries & Cream Cake Pop

Lastly, Starbucks is introducing a brand-new cake pop flavor for summertime: Strawberries & Cream! Some Starbucks employees on Reddit noted that it'll include a strawberry cake base with buttercream, which sounds so yummy. This new bite will join the existing cake pop trio of Birthday Cake, Chocolate, and Cookies & Cream.

Trader Joe’s knows our love for sweet treatsway too well and just dropped the spring dessert to rule all spring desserts. Packed with tart and tropical notes, this fancy find (ahem, it’s imported from France!) already has TJ’s shoppers going crazy. Fans say the limited-time item is “so good” and could even be the “best dessert there in a long time.” 👀

Scroll on to discover the new $5 Trader Joe’s dessert you can’t miss this month – it's sure to fly off shelves!

Trader Joe's

The new find is none other than the Passion Fruit Meringue Tartelettes, a new dessert in Trader Joe’s frozen aisle that’s only available for a limited time. The treat hails straight from France, where the crust is prepped by an expert baker to “crisp, crumbly” perfection before being filled with a refreshing passion fruit curd and topped with meringue. Equal parts sweet and tart, this bite is ideal for springtime refreshment.

@trader_joes_treasure_hunt

Trader Joe’s shoppers (including us!) are already geeking out about the passion fruit-powered tartelettes, even though they just hit shelves.

“These tarts are INCREDIBLE!!!! 🤤” one person commented on Reddit.

“I LOVE these!” another Redditor said. “Best dessert there in a long time.”

@traderjoesobsessed

This bougie box comes with two tartelettes for a mere $5. All you have to do to enjoy ‘em is thaw them in the fridge for a couple hours after stowing them away in the freezer for safe keeping! The fact that this treat comes in a 2-pack also makes it perfect for an at-home date night dessert to share with your boo – or just your BFF for a fun evening hang!

Reddit

Per Trader Joe’s the Passion Fruit Meringue Tartelettes are only available during the spring with a “decidedly limited” supply. Add this fun find to your list for your next TJ’s run – you won’t regret it.

Starbucks fans that have stayed loyal to the chain through thick and thin are no strangers to the heartbreak of saying ‘goodbye’ to certain beloved drinks, food items, and flavors. Over the years, Starbucks has discontinued several syrups, leaving fans yearning for their return (we miss raspberry so badly). In this post, we’re taking a look down nostalgia lane and revisiting some of the most popular Starbucks syrups that were sadly taken off menus!

Scroll on for 9 discontinued Starbucks syrups we miss terribly.

Starbucks

1. Almond Syrup

Starbucks’ almond syrup was subtly nutty all while adding sweetness to fan-fave drinks like lattes and hot chocolates! Despite its loyal following, Starbucks discontinued it around 2008, likely due to low demand and a general restructuring of their menu. Many fans still miss it for its unique taste and versatility, though the chain still offers plenty of nutty flavors like hazelnut and pistachio (though the latter is seasonal).

Reddit

2. Raspberry Syrup

Gone, but not forgotten! Starbucks’ raspberry syrup was always so tasty in an iced white mocha or in their lemonade bevs. It offered a bright, fruity flavor with a nice sweet-tart balance. Plus, it added a fun color to any sip! Sadly, Starbucks began phasing it out around 2023, likely due to waning popularity and a shift toward more natural fruit inclusions.

Starbucks

3. Butterscotch Syrup

The butterscotch syrup debuted in 2016 with Starbucks’ very own Smoked Butterscotch Latte, bringing all the nostalgic, candy-like flavor notes with it. The syrup itself was fairly rich, buttery, and caramel-y. Mmm. Though it was beloved at the time, this flavor was only around seasonally and eventually discontinued, probably due to lacking demand.

Starbucks

4. Juniper Syrup

Widely known as one of Starbucks’ more-experimental flavors, the juniper syrup launched around the winter holidays in the famed Juniper Latte that carried botanical notes of pine, citrus, and sage. This now-discontinued flavor turned out to be notoriously divisive among Starbucks fans, though the small niche that really adored it still beg for the flavor to come back to menus!

Starbucks

5. Pineapple Ginger Syrup

This summery flavor was introduced to the Starbucks menu back in the spring of 2020 for a few limited-time drinks. With the sweetness of pineapple but the subtle spice of ginger, it was a pretty bold syrup choice at the time. It came and went from menus super quick, though Starbucks still offers plenty of fruity options like strawberry, blackberry, and cherry.

@StarbucksNews

6. Sangria Syrup

Sangria syrup was first used in Starbucks' iced teas to mimic the fruity, wine-inspired flavors of a traditional sangria… all without the alcohol. Sneaky! It tasted slightly of apple, berry, and citrus, making them taste like a true mocktail! It likely didn’t stay on menus long because it was a limited-time offering and didn’t gain enough traction to return.

Reddit

7. Valencia Orange Syrup

Starbucks’ Valencia orange syrup was another of the fruity variety. It was widely used in iced drinks like Refreshers, though some baristas really enjoyed it in mochas for a unique orange mocha vibe! It was super summery, though it ended up being phased off menus as Starbucks tested new flavors like dragonfruit, pineapple, and passionfruit.

Reddit

8. Mango Syrup

This one’s a total throwback! Starbucks’ long-gone mango syrup was super tropical and, of course, fruity. It paired especially well with the chain’s green teas and lemonades, though they ended up trading the more-artificial, syrupy mango flavor for a natural juice blend over the years.

Starbucks

9. Marshmallow Syrup

Made popular with the S’mores Frappuccino that hit menus in 2015 (and made a reprise in 2019), Starbucks’ marshmallow syrup was truly one of a kind. Creamy and sweet, it had a nostalgic quality that not many other Starbucks syrups did. Unfortunately, Starbucks cut it from the menu since the S’mores Frappuccino was only around for a single summer.

If you've been rewatching The Breakfast Club since 1985, then there's a good chance you've been waiting for a full cast reunion. Well, in honor of the film's 40th anniversary on February 15, 2025, the five Breakfast Club stars (Molly Ringwald, Judd Nelson, Ally Sheedy, Emilio Estevez, and Anthony Michael Hall) just reunited for the first time since the '80s! The cast spoke on how special it was to be together — and Emilio finally revealed why he's never been a part of the reunions before. Let's get into it!

Here's what happened at The Breakfast Club cast reunion with Molly Ringwald, Judd Nelson, Ally Sheedy, Emilio Estevez, and Anthony Michael Hall.

'The Breakfast Club' cast reunion was "emotional."

@c2e2official

We're HONORED to have the first-ever full cast reunion of The Breakfast Club with Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy, Emilio Estèvez, and Anthony Michael Hall here in Chicago at C2E2! ❤️

♬ 2 Phút Hơn Funk - 𝟑𝟎𝟑 𝐗𝐈𝐎𝐍𖤐

The Breakfast Club cast reunited at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo on April 12 for a panel conversation.

“I feel really, very emotional and moved to have us all together,” Molly Ringwald said (via Today). “This is the first time that Emilio has joined us. We don’t have to use the cardboard cutout anymore because he’s here.”

Emilio never joined the other cast reunions (like appearing at the 2010 Oscars), and finally revealed why during the conversation. "I skipped all of my high school reunions, so this just was something that finally I felt I needed to do just for myself," he told moderator Josh Horowitz. "Somebody told me that Molly said, 'Well, does Emilio just not like us?' And that broke my heart. I thought, 'No, of course, I love all of them.' And this just made sense, so here I am."

Two stars from the movie (Emilio Estevez and Ally Sheedy) appeared in Andrew McCarthy's Hulu documentary Brats in 2024, which explores the effects of an infamous 1985 New York Magazine article dubbing the group of young actors (which also included Andrew, Demi Moore, and Rob Lowe) the "Brat Pack."

But considering this is the first time the full Breakfast Club cast has been together since the 1980s, the reunion felt like a homecoming. "This [reunion] felt special," Emilio continued. "It’s here in Chicago, where we made the film, and obviously the 40th anniversary, and it just felt like it was time."
