Keep UV Rays on Lockdown With These 19 Stylish Sunnies

Sunglasses are important for protecting your eyes from harmful UV rays (not to mention allowing you to just plain see in general on a super sunny day) and that means you should always, as in 24/7/365, have a pair on hand. Turns out Anna Wintour and Karl Lagerfeld were definitely on to something there. If you’re one of those people who’s constantly losing, sitting on or scratching your shades, you’re probably going to want to start stocking up on sunnies now. Here are 19 stylish options for spring to help you protect your eyes in style.

1. Retro Pastel Round Cat Eye Sunglasses ($10): Nothing says spring or summer quite like a bright pair of yellow sunnies.

2. Saturday Morning Oversized Round Sunglasses ($20): Striped plastic frames have a playful avant-garde effect on this pair of round retro shades.

3. ASOS Metal Top Cat Eye Sunglasses With Built-Up Highbrow ($22): Color blocked frames and sleek metal detailing add a contemporary touch to these retro cat eye glasses.

4. Le Specs Halfmoon Magic Sunglasses ($60): Le Specs shades are a fave of celebs like Beyoncé, Rihanna and Solange, but you won’t have to drop a lot of cash to steal their style — they’re surprisingly affordable. This bright pink pair in particular has been worn by the likes of Olivia Palermo and Kate Moss. Now that’s saying something.

5. Warby Parker Quimby Sunglasses ($95): Bright green frames channel the freshness of spring while brightening up your face on days when you need a little boost.

6. Gentle Monster Naboo PD1 Sunglasses ($345): This is one pair of sunglasses you seriously don’t want to lose, and not just because of the price tag. These retro horn-rimmed sunglasses take chic eyewear to the next level.

7. Indie Native Print Sunglasses ($11): With purplish lenses and a funky feel, these shades make the perfect pair for festival season.

8. Wildfox Ivy 55mm Sunglasses ($179): If turning heads is what you’re after, these futuristic-meets-’50s feminine specs will do the trick.

9. Capital Eyewear Lisa Walnut Sunglasses ($165): The best part about these unique wood shades? They’re made from sustainably harvested hardwood. It’s fashion you can feel good about — we’re down with that.

After several Christmases, I have fully assumed the role of charcuterie-maker in my family. I geek out over arranging everything to be as perfect as possible – I’m talkin’ meats, cheeses, olives, nuts, peppers, dips, breads, and of course, crackers.

As a self-proclaimed pro, the signature mark of a great charcuterie spread is having plenty of unique flavor combos – and Trader Joe’s latest limited-edition innovation is just the thing I’ve been searching for to complete my snacky plans!

Trader Joe's

Trader Joe’s Stollen Crisps have the people going crazy. While you’d normally assume crackers to be a savory treat, these crispy bites boast raisins, orange and lemon peels, and a “dusting” of powdered sugar.

The Stollen Crisps mimic the grocery chain’s famous Fig & Olive Crisps (which also inspired the late seasonal Raisin & Rosemary Crisps and Strawberry & Jalapeño Crisps) by combining unexpected sweet notes with a savory-leaning base. Every bite will leave your Christmas dinner guests reeling!

TJ’s fanatic @traderjoeslist recently reviewed the Trader Joe’s Stollen Crisps on their Instagram account, and plenty of shoppers chimed in to share their thoughts on them – including some epic snacking combinations.

“Those are soooo good!!” one person said enthusiastically. “I [took] the lemon ricotta and blended it with some heavy cream and a pinch of sugar. OMG. Sooooo good!!!!”

“I’ve been enjoying them with brie!” another commenter wrote.

“I had these last year and couldn’t wait for them to come back,” someone else commented. “Excellent with cheese - cuts the sweetness.”

Trader Joe's

The Trader Joe’s Stollen Crisps currently go for $4.29 for 5.3 ounces worth of crunchy crackers. They have the perfect balance of sweet and savory, qualifying them as the ideal cracker to add to your Christmas plans this year. Even if you normally don’t opt for out-there flavors like this, you’re definitely going to change your mind after a bite with brie.

You’ve gotta be quick, though – this Trader Joe’s marvel is only on shelves for a limited time. Though there’s not a concrete end date for this snack, it’ll likely be gone right after the holidays. Time to stock up!

We're officially living in the future. Ray-Ban paired up with Meta to create Ray-Ban Stories — AKA smart sunglasses. While the features of the glasses are probably fairly simple for the technology giant at this point, I was completely mind blown by the capabilities that this trendy accessory has. I went on two lengthy hikes (5 miles each) to try out the battery life, camera, microphone and bluetooth offerings. Here’s what I thought.

Image via Olivia Bria

The first point I should make about these glasses — I opted for the Wayfarer shiny brown pair with brown lenses — is that they need to be charged for optimal use. If the battery isn't already at 100%, it takes about 30 minutes to charge them enough for use. The glasses will inform you of the battery percentage through a voice speaker (Tony Stark style) if they're low on battery, but my mistake is that I assumed they would be fully charged after the 30 minutes. They were unfortunately only at 26%, so they died halfway through my first hike (hence me trekking through an early morning hike again the next day).

Alongside charging the sunglasses, you also have to download the “View' app, where the accessory downloads your captured photos, handles settings, and even creates a video montage of your creations. The app provides step-by-step instructions, so I would say anyone who's used any technology ever is able to wear the sunglasses easily. Once I was fully equipped with the app, I set off for my hike.

Like most hikes, the views aren’t stunning until you arrive at the top, so I refrained from taking any photos or videos until the real view set in. Instead, I called my grandma to wish her a happy birthday (and of course, see how the microphone works paired with my iPhone 14 pro). My grandma claims that the audio was clear as day on her end, and I had no issues hearing her either over some very loud LA traffic. After, I played my favorite podcast and songs on Spotify — I'm definitely not used to listening to music so clearly without having Airpods in, so I was a bit taken back by it.

Here’s the one caveat I have with the sound: if you play the audio loud enough, people around you are able to hear it as well. But you can change the volume if you just slide your finger on the right leg of the sunglasses. And when you push your hair back with the sunglasses, which most of us girlies just love to do, the sound continues but you have trouble hearing it. I would classify those pitfalls as pretty minor, but that obviously depends on the preferences of the individual user.

Unfortunately, my sunglasses died at the exact moment I made it to the top of the mountain on the first hike, so the built-in camera feature didn’t get the attention it deserved. However, the second hike lent itself some beautiful photos. And the quality was OUTSTANDING. I say that keeping in mind that these are still sunglasses, but the scenery was videoed and photographed at my eye level, which is a really cool perspective that you wouldn’t get from your phone. Just check out some photos and videos I took below to make the determination for yourself.

In order to snag pics, there is a right side button that you can easily click on and off. The sunglasses will make a beeping noise to let you know when it starts recording and when you successfully end the recording. Or, you can just say, “Hey Facebook, stop recording,” and the feature will do it for you. It’s pretty much Siri but in a different font. You then have to download the content on the app, but make sure you're on Wifi or it will not complete.

With the overall capabilities, I think the price point is worth the splurge — especially if you are sick of earbuds and describe yourself as a more tech-driven individual. I honestly was pleasantly surprised that the set price of the glasses are $299. While that definitely is a good chunk of money, the glasses are a technological investment similar to your computer or phone, so it’s really up to you to determine what you're willing to spend your hard earned cash on. I will say though — they look super cute with any outfit! 😎

FacebookTaylor Swift's Eras Tour may have officially come to a close, but she only just revealed one of the biggest mysteries of the $2 billion cultural phenomenon: her cleaning cart. If you're confused, let me break it down for you really quickly. Every night of the tour, Taylor Swift had to sneak onstage before the show, and fans predicted very early on that she hid in a cleaning cart that crossed the grounds shortly before everything started. It quickly became tradition for concert-goers to cheer every time the cart made its nightly pilgrimage to the stage, applauding for what they assumed to be their favorite singer taking her place backstage.

While she confirmed her makeshift vehicle in the "I Can Do It With A Broken Heart" music video, she's finally giving us a peek behind the curtain — or rather, the cleaning cart. Here's what she posted!

Scroll to see what the inside of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour cleaning cart actually looks like!

Instagram/TaylorSwift

Taylor looks totally adorable, posing in her opening set body suit while sitting on a black chair in the cleaning cart. While understanding how the "August" singer got around in the cart would have been enough for me, there's plenty more inside to unpack, too. Here's everything I noticed in the cart:

  • A floral cat illustration: Such classic cat-lover behavior.
  • Printed out "Animals of the Day" flyer featuring Olivia, Meredith, and Benjamin: She's such a proud cat mom!
  • A painting of a waterside town: Fans pointed out all over social media that this is potentially Cardiff, one of her many stops on the tour.
  • More hanging and taped-up decor: I'm dying to know what else Taylor wants to see before she hits the stage!
  • A little gold and red trinket on a ledge: Is Taylor a trinket girl?!
  • A little fan in the corner: And thank goodness, because you know that girl puts in hard work on that stage!
Is there anything I missed? Let me know in the comments!
