20 Superhero Halloween Costumes for Kids, Grown-Ups *AND* Dogs!

What’s that in the sky? A bird? A plane? A bat signal?! Gotham’s in trouble! And only you, your husband, your niece, your nephew or your dog can help! ;) Being a superhero for Halloween is one of our favorite classic costume options. You get to adopt an alter ego that saves the world, or some version of it, and you usually get to wear spandex. It’s easy to turn one superhero costume into a group or family theme, and it’s fun to add your own personal touches once you’ve got the base costume on lockdown.

Today, in partnership with eBay, we’ve rounded up 20 ways for every single member of your family to be a superhero this Halloween, including your dog!

The moment we dove into eBay’s Halloween hub, we were stunned by how many awesome costumes, decor pieces and DIY supplies were available in one place. Seriously. From authentic character costumes to one-of-a-kind vintage pieces, this shop’s got you covered, and will definitely get you inspired to finally start figuring out what to be this Halloween. And if you haven’t been on eBay in a while, it’s worth calling out that these items are available to order without bidding, and the sellers list how many pieces they have in stock. More importantly, they’ll all ship in time for Halloween! (Be sure to check your item’s specific shipping time for exact dates.)

Now, let’s check out this heroic collection of Halloween costumes. (Please note: These superhero costumes are flying off the shelves! So, get them while they’re hot, as the prices may be subject to demand.)

1. Batman and Batgirl 1960s Couples Costume ($209 for both): Though the price tag on this one is definitely up there, this pair of vintage retro costumes is one you could wear every single Halloween without getting bored of it. The old-school color palette and full-on spandex is a winning combo.

2. Superman Dog Costume ($11): You think your dog’s super, and he does too.

3. The Flash Kid’s Costume ($20): Whether you call him the Scarlet Speedster, Crimson Comet or the classic Flash, this superhero’s super speed is as effortless as breathing.

4. Women’s Classic Supergirl Costume ($38): This somewhat controversial character (wasn’t Superman the only one to survive the destruction of Krypton?) makes for a kickass Halloween costume primarily because you get to rock a cape. And save the day, of course.

5. Clark Kent Superman Men’s Costume ($37): eBay has quite a collection of Superman costumes, but this Clark-Kent-turning-into-Superman option is definitely our favorite. Just look at those abs! ;)

Spiderman Dog Costume

silly dog costumes in our day.

7. Wonder Woman Kid’s Costume ($27): Wonder Woman has always been our favorite superhero, for pretty obvious reasons. This costume for little ladies will make her feel like a rockstar.

8. Wolverine Dog Costume ($14): I have to admit, I have a weakness for Wolverine. The original Wolverine — yellow suit, crazy cat-eye mask, blue accents. I promise, it’s not just Hugh Jackman’s portrayal of this mutant, self-healing animal man. Now, Wolverine as portrayed by a chihuahua? Speechless.

9. Retro Captain America Costume ($41): As you can see, we’ve got a thing for ‘40s-, ’50s- and ‘60s-style costumes. We’ve just never seen so many iterations of Batman, Captain America and Wonder Woman in one place!

Superhero Women’s Tank Dresses

#LazyGirl Halloween Hair Hacks, and you’ll be ready to go in 15 minutes.

11. Batman Dog Costume ($14): BATDOG! Costumes that make it look like the dog is a human with those little fake arms make us giggle every time.

12. The Dark Knight Costume ($14): Prefer a more modern Batman? May we offer a very sophisticated Dark Knight?

13. Reversible Batman and Robin Cape for Kids ($23): This cape is all about the quick mid-Halloween-night costume change.

14. Iron Man ($45): Now, if only you had time to build a custom robot computer system named Jarvis…

15. Green Lantern Dog Costume ($15): Interestingly, Green Lantern is actually the name of a number of different superheroes, starting from 1940 to now. Like Captain Planet and the Planeteers, the Green Lanterns get their strength and a variety of powers from a ring designed to fight evil.

Women’s Robin Costume

and Robyn. Better yet, get your favorite dude to play Batman, and be Batman and Robyn!

17. Captain America Kid’s Costume ($25): How adorable would it be if a dad and son both dressed up as 1940s-era Captain America?

18. Spiderman and Captain America Juniors Dresses ($35 each): Perfect for the #LazyGirl, these adorable dresses will make you feel SUPER ;)

19. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle ($55 each): Jury’s out on whether or not the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles can officially be dubbed superheroes, but I think most ‘90s kids would be on board with that designation.

20. Underdog ($15): And finally, dun da-dun dun dunnnnn… it’s UNDERDOG!!!

In our Take 5 series, sponsored by Verizon, we ask women in business about unexpected challenges, their inspirations, recent wins, and how the free Verizon Small Business Digital Ready Program has helped propel their business forward.

In this segment, Paige Wiese, founder & CEO of Tree Ring Digital in Denver, CO, walks us through some of the ways she encourages clients to double down on marketing when business is slow. Paige built her business as a solopreneur graphic designer to a team of 15, helping clients with SEO, online ads, and social media management. Here’s her Take 5, plus more tips for surviving the business lulls below!

What's a recent small win for you and your business?

Paige: A recent small win has been just seeing business pick up again. I am seeing businesses start to engage with their marketing efforts and really trying to get to the root of why their website might be underperforming. We look at what they can be doing to see their money actually go to a place that it should be going.

What's a big piece of advice that you give to your clients?

Paige: A lot of them want to back off anytime there's a little bit of scarcity. I really think that's the time to double down, whether it be your digital presence, your website, or just adjusting how you're spending your money. But instead of just saying, ‘Hey, we're going to stop [investing in marketing],’ ask ‘How do we double down in the correct way and make sure we're seeing measurable results out of it?’ I do it myself anytime business is a little slow. I think we have to either change or we need to be doubling down. A lot of clients come to us when the pipeline is already dry and money is tight and they’re hoping for a quick fix. Marketing, unfortunately, isn't a quick fix.

See more tips for surviving business lulls below!

What's an unexpected business challenge you’ve faced and how did you overcome it?

Paige: I think one of the bigger challenges that we've run into has been more on the employee side, some of the retention or the hiccups that come along the way and then just learning from them. So how can we be a better, stronger company coming out of this and how do we use it as a growing opportunity?

How has the Verizon Small Business program helped propel your business forward?

Paige: I learned about the Verizon Small Business Digital Ready program through the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC). It's a free resource that’s self-paced and very digestible. The variety of topics it covers is a large gamut for any size business. The Selling with Storytelling course, especially, was really valuable to me, just really getting your messaging out there. I laugh that I sometimes enjoy the marketing ones a little bit more just because it is a refresher or another take on how we do this.

Thanks Paige!

I was a bit surprised when Shea McGee named "Western Cowboy" as one of her top home trend predictions for 2025 — but she wasn’t wrong. With earthy decor, natural materials, and country cottage kitchens already trending, the shift toward an American Western aesthetic feels like a natural evolution (I mean, look at the Grammy's AOTY). This style resurfaces in home decor, but this time, it’s less about cowboy clichés and more about refined rustic charm — think of it as the new boho with Southern charm.

It’s no secret that Trader Joe’s absolutely kills it in the dessert department. I’m a massive fan of their Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupsand Chocolatey Coated Chocolate Chip Cookie Dunkers, but taking a gander down the frozendesserts aisle is an entirely different ballgame. From fruit-flavored mochi to decadent chocolate layered ice cream sammies, there’s something at Trader Joe’s for every kind of sweet tooth. Perfect for mid-day and midnight snacks alike, these are the 8 best Trader Joe’s frozen desserts that are worth every bite.

Scroll on for the 8 Trader Joe’s frozen desserts that belong in your next grocery haul!

Trader Joe's

1. Coffee Bean Hold the Cone! Mini Ice Cream Cones

These coffee-flavored, chocolate-covered, mini-sized ice cream cones are a total hoot. Their small size makes 'em unbelievably easy to snack on, though, so it may take some restraint to not eat the whole box in a single sitting (speaking from experience). You get a little bit of creaminess and crunch with each piece, which is insanely satisfying – and something you don't get too much of – from a frozen treat!

@traderjoesobsessed

2. Blood Orange Mochi Ice Cream

These addicting little pockets of blood orange-flavored ice cream wrapped in sweet mochi dough are super nostalgic, especially for someone like me who practically grew up on Flintstone's Push-Ups! They're the ideal finger food, and though you might assume eating each piece is messy, the snackin' experience is anything but. With just enough zing from the blood orange and plenty of sugary goodness, you're definitely going to want to buy at least three boxes at a time during your TJ's runs.

Trader Joe's

3. Sublime Ice Cream Sandwiches

These ice cream sammies are simply a modern take on a beloved classic. They're just like those popular treats you can pick up at the gas station, but with tons more chocolate chips. TJ's says they've perfected the best "crunchy-chewy ratio" possible for the duo of chocolate chip cookies involved, both of which hug a thick dollop of vanilla ice cream for a sweet summertime – or anytime, really – refreshment.

@traderjolene

4. Macaron Chocolate Ice Cream Sandwiches

This brand-new Trader Joe's frozen dessert already has fans going crazy, and I get it – it's basically two of the best desserts in one! Surrounded by a pair of "delicate" macaron shells, these chocolate ice cream sandwiches are totally chocolated out. I'm certain any fan of chocolate will adore them.

A TJ's fan on Reddit noted that the macaron component of this treat is "perfectly cooked, sweet and chewy," while the ice cream "tastes premium... and has a lot of chocolate flavor."

"It’s like they made these just for me," someone else chimed in on the thread. Same here!

Trader Joe's

5. Chocolate Croissants

If you didn't know Trader Joe's carries frozen croissants by now, you've truly been missing out. No more paying $5 per pastry at your local cafe! These bake-and-eat goodies are crafted with high-quality butter and semisweet Belgian chocolate for a deliciously sweet balance – all without having to laminate the dough yourself (amen)! I love treating myself to this box to enjoy on a lazy Sunday morning alongside some fresh coffee.

Trader Joe's

6. Lemon Bars

As fun as they are to make yourself, these frozen, ready-to-eat lemon bars erase the need for you to drag out all of your bakeware! Also – oven, who?! After thawing out at room temp a bit, these truly taste just as fresh as they would if you DIY'ed them. These are my go-to Trader Joe's frozen dessert if I'm attending a party and need to bring something to share... but don't necessarily have all the time in the world to whip something up.

Trader Joe's

7. Speculoos Cookie Butter Ice Cream

Die-hard TJ's fanatics might already know the pure magic that is their Speculoos Cookie Butter, but not many know that the grocer's incorporated it into a deliciously creamy pint of ice cream! This frozen find is swirled with the famous butter and packed with pieces of cookie for extra Speculoos oomph. I like to add some chocolate chips to mine (like a total chocolate fiend), but I also think TJ's Teensy Candy Bars or crushed Chocolate Vanilla Creme Joe-Joe's would work wonderfully as toppings.

Trader Joe's

8. Brownie Crisp Coffee Ice Cream Sandwiches

Chocolate and coffee is a top-tier food combo, and it's downright irresistible if it comes in a frozen form like this. While traditional ice cream sandwiches typically come with cookies as the top and bottom layers, this TJ's dessert comes complete with a duo of brownie crisps to provide a unique bite. Eat them on their own, or dare to go bold and try one affogato-style!
