Start Your Day With Sweet Potato Toast Crows’ Nests

Egg in a basket. Toad in the hole. Crows’ nests. One-eyed Jack. All of these names refer to the same thing: an egg fried in a hole in the center of a piece of bread. And, regardless of the name you call it, we can all agree it’s delicious. I’m a crow’s nest kind of gal, so that’s what I’m going to call my version of this classic breakfast. As a gluten-free (and grain-free) eater, I was over the moon when I saw the sweet potato toast trend gracing us on Pinterest, so I had to mash together my love for this bread alternative with my love for crows’ nests. Together, these flavors almost taste like French toast and could even be eaten with a splash of syrup. I went for a side of bacon to get a hint of maple and, you guys — I very well might start eating this for breakfast on the weekly. It’s THAT GOOD.

Final1

Ingredients:

— 1 sweet potato, cut lengthwise into pieces of “toast”

— eggs, one for each slice (each potato yields approximately five slices)

— ghee (or butter if you eat dairy)

— parsley (optional)

Instructions:

1. Slice your sweet potato lengthwise into half-inch pieces.

2. Use a circular cookie cutter or a cup to punch holes in the center of each piece of “toast.”

3. Add a heaping spoonful of ghee to a pan on medium heat. Let melt.

4. Place sweet potato pieces in the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until cooked halfway through.

5. Flip the sweet potato and cook for 2-3 minutes, then crack an egg into the hole. Cover and let cook until egg is cooked through (depending on how runny you like your yolk).

6. Remove from the pan and serve with parsley, bacon or maple syrup.

Slice the sweet potato into pieces that are about a half-inch thick. I had a small round cookie cutter which was perfect for punching holes, but a glass would also work. The cookie cutter edge is sharper, so it will make for easier hole punching.

Add butter to your pan, then cook one side of the sweet potato. We’ve heard you can also put these slices into the toaster, but it made more sense for this recipe to cook them the traditional way on the stove. Because sweet potatoes take a while to cook, you need to cook one side before you add the egg. Otherwise, you’ll have an overcooked egg, and nobody wants that! One other trick I should mention — if you are going for looks, remove some of the egg whites, because they will overflow on the potato.

I’m getting hungry for these just writing this post!

Add some bacon and parsley and you’ve got yourself a meal.

Calling all Tina Fey fans: Netflix just dropped a teaser trailer for her latest project, The Four Seasons. The inevitably hilarious series is set to premiere worldwide on Thursday, May 1 — and we already can't wait to see this cast full of very funny people get into some very funny antics.

Scroll to find out everything you need to know about The Four Seasons on Netflix!

What is 'The Four Seasons' about?

Netflix

The Four Seasons is inspired by the 1981 movie of the same title. It follows long-time friends and couples – played by Tina Fey and Will Forte, Steve Carell and Kerri Kenney-Silver, and Colman Domingo and Marco Calvani – as they commit to going on four seasonal vacations together in Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter.

Along the way, the group learns that one couple is going to break up, and the series shows "how this shake-up affects everyone's dynamic, sending old issues and new bubbling to the surface," according to an official synopsis.

Who's in 'The Four Seasons' cast?

Netflix

Decades ago, the rom-com included big names such as Alan Alda, who wrote, directed, and starred in the film, as well as Carol Burnett, Rita Moreno, Sandy Dennis, and Jack Weston.

Now, Tina's new iteration of The Four Seasons has another star-studded cast:

  • Tina Fey
  • Will Forte
  • Steve Carell
  • Kerri Kenney-Silver
  • Colman Domingo
  • Marco Calvani

Aside from the main actors portraying the three couples, fans can look forward to seeing other stars gracing their screen! They include:

  • Alan Alda
  • Ashyln Maddox
  • Julia Lester
  • Jacob Buckenmyer
  • Taylor Ortega
  • Toby Edward Huss
  • Tommy Do
  • Simone Recasner
  • Chloe Troast
  • Cole Tristan Murphy
  • Jack Gore

Who created 'The Four Seasons'?

Netflix

Tina Fey has masterminded The Four Seasons as the creator, co-showrunner, executive producer, and writer, working alongside Tracey Wigfield and Lang Fisher, who also directs. The show was produced under Universal Television, and additional executive producers include David Miner and Eric Guiran.

As for directorial responsibilities, the duty was split among several talents. Robert Pulcini and Shari Springer Berman take on the first two episodes, followed by Oz Rodriguez for episodes three and four. Then, executive producer Jeff Richmond steered episode five, while Colman Domingo stepped in for episode six. The final two episodes are directed by co-creator and showrunner Lang Fisher.

Tina Fey has already solidified herself as a powerhouse writer. After leaving Saturday Night Live in 2006, she created the TV show 30 Rock, which premiered in October of that year and ran until 2013. Then, she co-created the sitcom Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt with Robert Carlock in 2015, which ran for four seasons.

Where can I watch 'The Four Seasons'?

Netflix

Once The Four Seasons debuts, you can stream it on Netflix!

Netflix was able to secure the series after a competitive bidding war. The Four Seasons became a sought-after comedy following the labor strikes of 2023, and in early 2024, the streaming giant granted the show a straight-to-series order.

When does 'The Four Seasons' come out?

Netflix

The Four Seasons debuts on Netflix on May 1, 2025!

How many episodes will 'The Four Seasons' have?

Netflix

The Four Seasons will include eight half-hour episodes!

Is there a trailer for 'The Four Seasons' yet?

Netflix

A teaser trailer for The Four Seasons dropped on March 20, 2025 — and it's clear that fans are eager to watch Tina's newest work.

"They had me at Colman Domingo and Tina Fey," one viewer commented.

"Yes, yes, yes! I love this! Tina and Steve?! Count me in," echoed another.

So needless to say...we're excited! BRB while we add The Four Seasons debut to our calendars!

I'm still reeling over the fact that Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey cast includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, and Lupita Nyong'o. Like WHAT! This is going to be the most beautiful movie of 2026 — especially since some of the first leaks from set show Zendaya looking radiant and Tom Holland "out on the open sea without a single green screen in sight," according to X user @zoerosebryant. And y'all, not only is the scenery gorgeous, but so is Tom Holland. (To no one's surprise).

Keep reading to see the first The Odyssey leaks of Tom Holland and Zendaya.

Zendaya stuns while filming 'The Odyssey.'

Thanks to DeuxMoi, we have a look at Zendaya and Matt Damon filming The Odyssey in Italy. (And no, the spoiler alert isn't for the 2000-year-old plot — it's for the costumes & potential casting confirmation!)

Zendaya wears a cream-colored Chiton with her hair braided into a low bun behind her head while Matt boasts a gray beard and looks a little bit like Tom Hanks in Castaway.

Now, we still don't have official confirmation of who Zendaya's playing in the movie, although she's rumored to be playing Athena (but more on that later). A lot of people in the comments are convinced she's playing Athena, and Zendaya's practical costume supports that rumor in my opinion. But if these two are filming on an island, it could actually prove Z is playing Calypso, who tries to keep Odysseus on her island — or even Princess Nausicaä, who helps Odysseus when he washes up on her island. So it really boils down to whether Zendaya is trying to trap Matt Damon or help him...and we'll have to wait and find out.

"Zendaya booked, busy and beautiful as ever," one Instagram comment reads, while another points out "the fact she was literally Rue filming euphoria nightshoots like barely 48 hours ago 😭😭😭."

Tom Holland sets out on a hero's journey.

The first leaks we got of Tom Holland filming The Odyssey feature the Spider-Man 4 actor on a boat in Greece — and according to an extra who was on set, Tom was filming scenes of his character arriving in Sparta.

I'm a big fan of the curly hair (even though I remember Tom said he hated his long hair in Avengers: Infinity War because he felt like Prince Charming), but more than one person on the internet has compared Tom's look in The Odyssey to Elijah Woods' Frodo from The Lord of the Rings, and I can't help but laugh.

We also recently got a look at Tom Holland alongside Jon Bernthal as they hung out in a tent off camera (and without their capes) and again I say: the curly hair is doing wonders for me!

Christopher Nolan and Universal haven't confirmed who our favorite stars are playing (aside from the announcement that Matt Damon is leading the story as Odysseus), but rumors have started circulating that Tom Holland will play Odysseus' son Telemachus, who sets out to find his father and is protected by Athena, rumored to be played by Zendaya. This means my favorite couple could get plenty of screen time together, which is literally all I care about.

The rumors also say we could see Anne Hathaway as Odysseus' wife Penelope, Charlize Theron as sorceress Circe, Benny Safdie as Agamemnon, the king of Mycenae, and Lupita Nyong'o as Agamemnon's wife Clytemnestra. Stay tuned to find out! Until then, I'll be daydreaming about Tom Holland as Telemachus.

Simone Ashley may not have been able to share juicy secrets about BridgertonSeason 4, but that hasn't stopped us from looking at very convincing fan theories about romantic leads Benedict& Sophie. Fans of the series are familiar with the second oldest (and carefree) Bridgerton sibling, but Sophie's past remains a mystery. Who is she and where did she come from? Better yet, we're wondering if Season 4 will give her a Cinderalla trajectory (i.e. "rags to riches").

Given the "wild" fan theories we've seen, anything's possible with show runner Jess Brownell at the helm of the Bridgerton series!

Scroll to see what fans think will be revealed about Sophie's past, her sexuality, and a potential timeline jump!

What are the biggest theories about Sophie's past?

Liam Daniel/Netflix

A prior BridgertonSeason 4 sneak peek revealed Sophie's a maid, but that's not the only secret she'll potentially hide from Benedict. There's also the matter of her heritage that could be explored! For now, fans have differing theories about who Sophie's related to.

We know that her step-mother and step-sisters are Araminta, Rosamund, and Posy, but not much is known about Sophie's birth mother. In alignment with Julia Quinn's An Offer From a Gentleman, one fan theory discusses the idea that the mistreated maid could be "the daughter of Lord Cowper's brother (maybe an older brother who was supposed to inherit the State) and they took Sophie in as a child but Amarinta had her as the service (or maybe he is the father)."

This elicited an interesting response that talks about Lord Cowper's alleged relationship to Sophie. "He could have hidden her away at one of their country estates with a governess..."

What might Cressida Cowper know about her?

Liam Daniel/Netflix

Our theory about Cressida Cowper being Benedict's love interest was wrong (oops!), but that doesn't mean she won't make a surprise appearance! If the above theories are true, this means Cressida may be related to Sophie! She might already be aware of it OR she could discover this hidden truth as she comes into her own.

Of this theory, one fan said they believe "Cressida will be related to Sophie somehow and her character redemption arc will involve supporting Sophie like her stepsister Posy did in the novel."

The suspense is getting real!

Why do people think her Sophie's sexuality will be revealed?

Liam Daniel/Netflix

Thanks to this thread, we were reminded that Benedict's "pansexual," leading some fans to believe there's more to Sophie's sexuality than meets the eye. This theory asks, "What if Sophie is a man that masquerades as a woman at the masquerade ball, and the reason Benedict has such a hard time finding Sophie after the ball, is because she’s actually a man?"

As far as we know, there's not a lot of evidence to support this idea because Sophie presents as a cisgender woman. However, one person shared a follow-up response to this idea by saying "she will probably dress up as a man at some point to hide her identity."

That seems like a much plausible idea given the secrecy that shrouds Sophie.

Could we see a timeline jump in 'Bridgerton' Season 4?

Liam Daniel/Netflix

Additionally, there's a couple of theories that believe Bridgerton Season 4 will feature a timeline jump. One person says Bridgerton Season 4 will pick up "when Fran, Eloise and John come back from Scotland as we saw in the drone leaks," (via Reddit).

Concerning Francesca and John, another theory revolves around their marriage. "Francesca and John must be married for a little while, otherwise Francesca’s grief will seem less justified than if she’d only been married for a season. Also, the friendship portion of Francesca and Michael[a]’s relationship has to happen. That timeline shouldn’t be rushed."

Although she's remaining coy about it, Bridgerton's show runner Jess Brownell revealed confirmed this theory is correct. "I can’t say if it’s in season 4 or not, but yes, there will be a time jump," she toldU.S. Weeklylast year.

It's not unbelievable because Season 3 ended with three new additions to the Bridgerton-Featherington clans! There's also the possibility that Anthony & Kate's child will be born by the time Benedict & Sophie first see each other.
