9 Subtle Taylor Swift Home Decor Ideas For The Dedicated Swifties Out There

taylor swift home decor ideas

Decorating can be a daunting task — it’s the process that transforms a house into a home. You want to create an ambiance that’s collectively chic, inviting, and a reflection of yourself. If you’re a Swiftie, you’ll probably be tempted to add a Taylor poster — or three — on the walls. Instead, reach for some home decor pieces that are sophisticated while still paying homage to the music icon. So whether you’re a fan of Taylor’s country melodies or a Midnights stan, there’s something for both and everything in between.

Taylor Swift Never Be So Kind Tea Towel Set ($53)

Grandma Marjorie will definitely approve of this tea towel set, complete with lyrics from her namesake song. The floral design and lace trimmings make will instantly transform your kitchen into a vintage dream

Darling I'm A Nightmare Pillow ($106)

Cover up that blank space on your bed — or couch — while showing off your Swiftie side with a delightful pillow featuring one of Taylor’s most iconic catchphrases set in intricate embroidery.

Ivy Wall Art ($338)

You may not have a house of stone, but an ivy can still (visually) grow with this gorgeous ink print by oil painter Rebekah May. Visitors will admire the uniquely expert details of the image paired with its elegant frame, and Swifties will definitely understand the Evermore reference.

Cowboy Boot Photo Stand ($14)

Are Debut, Fearless, and Speak Now your favorite eras? Preserve your precious memories with a photo stand that pays homage to Taylor’s early country days, because these are the best days of your life. (And you can even Era-hop with a little 1989 polaroid picture!)

Snake Bronze Table Lamp ($149)

Taylor had Karyn on stage during her Reputation Era to hype her up, and now you can have your own chic serpentine bestie to do the same. This bronze-finished lamp will brighten up everything from your WFH desk to your reading nook, while also reminding you of Taylor’s redemption arc.

Disco Ball Planter ($16)

Taylor’s dreamy pop song "Mirrorball" has had everyone worship disco balls on dance floors since its surprise release in 2020. Keep dancing on your tallest tiptoes and spinning on your highest heels while cultivating your plant child with this unique boho-style planter.

OSP Home Furnishings Odessa Cafe Bistro Chair ($191)

Upon initial sight, this looks like a normal — if not slightly boring — dining table chair. But eagle-eyed Swifties notice that it’s a spitting replica of the one that Taylor uses in her infamous "Vigilante Sh-t" dance during the Eras Tour. Perfect if you want to relive the epic concert and choreo in your kitchen.

Professional Ping Pong Bingo Balls ($90, was $138)

Relive the excitement, anticipation, and slight chaos of Midnights Mayhem with Taylor with your very own “technologically advanced device.”Its vintage design makes it the perfect unique statement piece on your bookshelf or coffee table.

Folklore As Books Wall Canvas ($46)

Folklore is one of Taylor most masterful works. Not only was it a complete 180-turn from the upbeat vibes of Lover, its indie folk sound and poignant lyrics leave listeners haunted long after hearing it. The album is definitely a work of art in its own right, and it deserves a place on the wall. With this unique canvas, that’s exactly where you can put it.

I was a bit surprised when Shea McGee named "Western Cowboy" as one of her top home trend predictions for 2025 — but she wasn’t wrong. With earthy decor, natural materials, and country cottage kitchens already trending, the shift toward an American Western aesthetic feels like a natural evolution (I mean, look at the Grammy's AOTY). This style resurfaces in home decor, but this time, it’s less about cowboy clichés and more about refined rustic charm — think of it as the new boho with Southern charm.

I love joining house-hunting friends on their open house visits, not just for the fun of seeing different homes but the staging inspiration alone can spark fresh ideas for my own home decor. I love how stagers capture that clean and minimal, yet warm and inviting aesthetic. As we head into peak house-buying season (March-August), here are some tips for getting your home updated for 2025 and market-ready for when the time comes. The good news? A few minor tweaks can make a major impact.

Scroll for outdated decor mistakes that could be lowering your home value.

1. Popcorn Ceilings

Shutterstock

Popcorn ceilings can be an '80s-era eyesore, and new buyers don't want to deal with it. That's because many older popcorn ceilings contain asbestos, which can be hazardous if you mess with it. Make sure to have a pro test it before attempting to remove it. You can have it removed (best for homes without asbestos), cover it with drywall, or install wood planks like bead board or shiplap for a classic look.

2. Tiled or Laminate Countertops

Shutterstock

Tiled countertops with worn grout or outdated laminate surfaces are long past their prime — it’s time for an upgrade, and you won’t regret it! There’s nothing like prepping meals on a fresh, clean surface that feels as good as it looks. Opt for quartz, a non-porous, low-maintenance choice that comes in a variety of colors and patterns. Natural stone like marble, soapstone, or quartzite are timeless, and butcher block in light oak is perfect for a modern farmhouse aesthetic.

3. Golden Oak Cabinets

Shutterstock

You don't necessarily need to swap out these stained wood cabinets that were once popular in '80s and '90s builds. Simply sand and give them a fresh coat of paint: Check out our Kitchen Cabinet Paint Colors for 2025 for inspiration!

4. Outdated Fixtures

Shutterstock

My mom had this exact bathroom sink fixture, and while she was gearing up for a pricey bathroom reno, I suggested a simple swap instead. I told her to replace just the fixture with something more modern, and she was beyond pleased with the results!

5. Brightly Painted Rooms

Shutterstock

Kids are going to want bedroom paint colors that adults simply do not. Instead of committing to a wild wall color, consider a sophisticated neutral as the backdrop and incorporate their favorite hue through easily changeable items like bedding, decor, and artwork. Win-win!

6. Boob Lights

Shutterstock

Replace any old light fixtures, like these ubiquitous "boob" lights, with an elegant ceiling mount or pendant.

7. Brass Mirror Closet Doors

Vecislavas Popa

If replacing the doors with modern wood doors isn’t an option, consider using matte spray paint or adhesive metal trim to give the brass a more modern finish in white or matte black.

8. Hollywood-Style Strip Lighting

Wayfair

Swap the kitschy strip lights for sleek wall sconces or a modern LED vanity light. Position sconces on either side of the mirror for balanced lighting. Look for matte black, brushed brass, or frosted glass finishes to instantly elevate your space.

9. Showers With Sliding Doors

Shutterstock

Frameless glass enclosure are a modern upgrade to these outdated sliding doors. If a full replacement isn’t in the budget, consider an elegant shower curtain for a vintage-modern vibe.

10. Lack of Quality Window Treatments

Good Days Digital

My friend’s Tahoe home has no window treatments because she loves waking up to the sun. (As someone who prefers total darkness, I always pack an eye mask when I visit!) But her realtor recently advised that you needs to add well-made, well-fitted window treatments if she plans to sell or rent. Linen Roman shades or velvet drapes can elevate the space while adding warmth and privacy. For the best fit and style, consider working with a window treatment specialist to find the perfect solution for your home.

11. Outdated Ceiling Fans

Shutterstock

Elements like ceiling fans come with the home purchase so make sure they're updated. Look for modern energy-efficient models with matte black, brushed nickel, or wood-toned finishes and remote or smart controls.

12. Bulky Furniture

Wayfair

Make sure your furniture fits the room — too big can feel cramped, too small can feel sparse. While pieces don’t need to be matchy-matchy, they should complement each other for a cohesive, well-balanced look. Look for an 8 x 10 rug or larger too to fit the space and hide any clutter!

13. Grey Laminate Flooring

Wayfair

Gray laminate flooring was once everywhere, but it’s officially time to move on — just like those gray sofas. Choose flooring that mimics the warmth of natural wood tones, such as light oak or rich walnut. If replacing the floors isn’t an option, layer in natural woven or wool rugs.

14. Too Much Ornamentation

Shutterstock

Remove any ornamentation that feels out of place in your home or doesn’t align with your style. For an ornate built-in like this, consider painting it a single, cohesive color to tone down the detailing and create a more seamless, modern look.

15. Awkward Layout

Shuttterstock

To make your space modern and more inviting, start with a focal point (fireplace, TV, or statement art) and arrange seating around it for conversation. Use a sofa and chairs to create balance, adding a coffee table within reach. Incorporate side tables, lighting, and a rug to define the space. Make sure walkways are for better flow and functionality too. Color can make a big difference too, earthy tones with natural elements will make a room feel more inviting.

When I moved into my home in the spring, the windows hadn’t been replaced in over 40 years! With a hot summer and rainy winter approaching, I was worried I’d be dealing with more than just a draft — so I swapped them out for double-pane, energy-efficient ones. Living in sunny California, solar panels were also a no-brainer. But making your home more energy efficient doesn’t have to mean major investments. Here are a few simple, budget-friendly ways to cut down on energy use without spending a fortune. Bonus: You'll save money on your energy bill too!

Here are low-cost ways to make your home more energy efficient.

1. Seal Drafty Doors and Windows

Use weatherstripping, caulk, or even a good old-fashioned draft stopper to prevent warm or cool air from escaping. It’s one of the quickest, cheapest ways to improve energy efficiency

2. Hang Thermal Curtains

Affordable and easy to install, thermal or blackout curtains help keep heat in during winter and block out the sun in summer, easing the load on your HVAC and reducing your heating and cooling costs. Plus, they add cozy style to a room!

3. Swap in LED Bulbs

LEDs use a fraction of the energy of traditional bulbs and last way longer. They’re a small investment that pays off quickly— especially if you swap them out room by room.

4. Use Smart Power Strips

Even when turned off, devices like TVs and computers draw power. Smart power strips cut that “phantom energy” without you needing to remember to unplug anything.

Kaboompics.com

5. Install Low-Flow Showerheads and Faucet Aerators

Low-flow showerheads and faucet aerators are inexpensive, easy to install, and reduce water and energy use (since you’re heating less water).

Shutterstock

6. Clean (or Replace) Air Filters Regularly

Dirty filters make your heating and cooling systems work harder, using more energy. Replace filters every 3-6 months for peak efficiency.

7. Wash Clothes in Cold Water

Most detergents are designed to work just as well in cold water, and heating water accounts for a big chunk of your washer’s energy use. Bonus: it’s gentler on your clothes, too so they'll look like new longer!

The White Lotus season 3 wrapped up April 6 (leaving us all in tears with that ending), but don't worry Mike White fans. The White Lotus season 4 is officially coming our way! HBO confirmed the news on January 22, announcing that production on the new season would hopefully begin in 2026. So we can rest easy as we rewatch season 3; we don't have to worry about a cancellation & (too many) unresolved cliffhangers! And after you finish season 3, you can check out the The 6 Best TV Shows To Watch On Max This Month.

Here's everything we know about The White Lotus season 4, coming to HBO and Max soon.

Is there a season 4 of The White Lotus?

Max

Yes, we're officially getting a The White Lotus season 4! It was confirmed near the end of January 2025, ahead of the season 3 release, and I couldn't be happier. Varietyconfirmed that HBO is hoping to start filming in 2026.

"Good news travels fast," the official social media announcement reads. "#TheWhiteLotus is excited to welcome you to a new destination."

Where is the next White Lotus set season 4?

Fabio Lovino/HBO

There's no word on where The White Lotus season 4 will take place, but creator Mike White already has some ideas. "For the fourth season, I want to get a little bit out of the 'crashing waves of rocks' vernacular but there’s always more room for more murders at the White Lotus hotels," Mike said in an "Inside Episode 8" feature.

HBO programming exec Francesca Oris told Deadline in February that "I can’t really say where we’re going to land but chances are somewhere in Europe."

One X user tweeted that, "We need a winter themed season," and I can't agree more. The only thing messier than summer vacation drama? Drama in Aspen. (Or Norway, considering Mike White reportedly reached out to the Norwegian Film Institute for a filming grant). But producer David Bernad told THR that Mike "hates" the cold, so who knows!

Okay so who's in the White Lotus season 4 cast?

Max

If you're a White Lotus fan, you know we get a new characters every season, and fans are already dreaming up the next cast list. Names like Pedro Pascal, Regina Hall, Pamela Anderson, and Nicola Coughlan have been thrown around, to which I say HECK YES. I'm still holding out for Madelyn Cline too!

When is The White Lotus season 4 coming out?

HBO

We don't have an official release date yet, but considering The White Lotus season 2 was filmed and released in 2022, there's a very good chance that if they begin production on The White Lotus season 4 in early 2026, we'll see episodes that same year!

How does The White Lotus season 3 end?

Fabio Lovino/HBO

We finally figured out who the White Lotus killer is — and who didn't make it out of season 3 alive. When Rick ends up enacting revenge on Jim for the horrible things he said, he ends up shooting Jim in the chest (then learning he was Rick's father).

When Rick and Jim's bodyguards end up in a shootout, Chelsea gets hit by a stray bullet and dies. Rick tries to carry her body away but gets shot by Gaitok, resulting in his death too. Laurie, Jaclyn, and Kate comfort each other after the shooting, Belinda and Zion leave the White Lotus on a private boat while the Ratliffs return to North Carolina, with Timothy promising they'll get through their future trouble as a family.

Is White Lotus supposed to be the Four Seasons?

Jean Paul Montanaro/Pexels

The White Lotus filmed at different Four Seasons locations, and is comparable to a resort like the Four Seasons. I wonder if the Four Seasons baby could be a guest star next year?!

Are you excited for The White Lotus season 4? Dreaming of a vacation? Check out How Much It Actually Costs To Stay At The White Lotus Season 3 Resort.
