Taylor Swift’s Grand Prix Performance Hints at a New Album

Taylor Swift may be spending most of her time with her friends and famous #girlsquad these days, but that doesn’t keep us from wishing she was secretly back in the studio recording our new fave songs. Well, our wish might be coming true. We just broke down the various clues that point to a new album coming any day, but now Tay’s upcoming Grand Prix performance is seriously hinting at a possible new Taylor Swift album, and we’re so ready for it.

Hardcore Swift fans and fast-car lovers may both be aware that Taylor is headlining the Formula 1 Grand Prix concert at the end of October, but what they may not know is that this could be a HUGE hint that the “Bad Blood” singer is ready to drop new music on us during that very gig.

Posting a pic of a racetrack to Instagram, Taylor added a personal message, saying, “See you here October 22,” along with the caption, “Austin, Texas @f1 @cota_official #USGP.”

This being Taylor’s one and only performance this year, October is not only one of the most popular months for musicians to launch new albums, but Taylor has a habit of releasing new music every two years in October. Her last album was (you guessed it!) released two years ago, which means another one is due.

With all of the drama that Taylor’s seen in the past few months and her penchant for turning heartbreak into hit songs, we wouldn’t be surprised at all by a “surprise” album at this point. Though we would be SUPER excited!

Thanks to Sean Kaufman and Rain Spencer (as well as all the pros behind the camera), the best TV scene of 2023 came out when The Summer I Turned Prettygave us Steven and Taylor (played by Sean and Rain, respectively) dancing to Frank Ocean's cover of "Moon River." I absolutely lost my mind! This series is one of the best teen dramas around, and good news for fans of all things Cousins Beach: we're getting The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3! The new installment is coming in 2025 and stars Gavin Casalegno, Chris Briney, and Lola Tung as Jeremiah, Conrad, and Belly.

Here's everything we know about the new TV show — including a look at our convo with lead actress Lola Tung!

What did Gavin Casalegno say about The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3?

Erika Doss/Prime Video

Gavin Casalegno (Jeremiah) and Lola Tung (Belly)

That's a very valid question, and it's one a lot of internet users are asking after Gavin, Lola, and Chris appeared at the Teen Vogue Summit on November 23, 2024. When asked about his favorite moments between Belly and Jeremiah, Gavin highlighted the “magical, fun” moments he loves to share with Lola.

“The story is very dramatized and something that's so beautiful is getting to be in the car with each other and be able to sing songs together and enjoy each other's presence,” he says. “That's something I personally enjoy. There's something sweet about those moments that build the relationship and the kind of foundation for those relationships.”

While the sentiment is very sweet, the internet is already consumed by Chris and Lola's reactions, which range from confused to surprised. "Why they looking at him like that 😭," one user commented while another says, "Their facial expressions are killing me." A third even took it a step further by joking, "Me when i’m tryna reach my word count." Listen, avoiding spoilers is a tough game!

The Summer I Turned Pretty Takes Chapel Hill

Erika Doss/Prime Video

Christopher Briney (Conrad)

The week of July 8, The Summer I Turned Pretty filmed on UNC-Chapel Hill's campus (which is where both Jenny Han and I went to school!) and fans were more than excited to see Christopher Briney around campus.

"They could never make me hate you Connie baby," one TikTok user commented on photos of Chris on Franklin Street, while another agrees, "If Conrad has no fans I'm dead."

Based on his new costume, and his hair being blonder than before, Conrad is looking a little older, wiser, and more mature — and as a Belly x Conrad shipper, I think it'll just make him look even better standing beside Lola Tung ;).

Another leak from set featuring Lola Tung in a yellow sundress and Christopher Briney in a polo shirt and slacks has fans in a tizzy! "The summer I turned pretty season 3 Belly and Conrad 😍," says the video's caption (and heart eyes are exactly how I feel about Conrad Fisher). One comment calls Belly and Conrad "soul mates" and I totally agree!

When will The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 come out?

Erika Doss/Prime Video

Jackie Chung (Laurel) and Sean Kaufman (Steven)

The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 release date is coming in summer 2025. We were hoping to see The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 return in 2024, but thanks to a new post from the official TSITP account, we know the show will drop summer 2025. Okay, TBH that's a total bummer (just because we can't wait to watch!!), but, as the books say, It's Not Summer Without You (er, Belly and her friends).

Lola Tung starred as Euridyce in Hadestown on Broadway until March 17, 2024. During our interviews during the official press day — which you can watch on TikTok — she told me how excited she was to return to Belly's arc this season, and that she was just as excited to return to Cousins Beach as we are! "I'm just very excited to be back with everyone and to be able to step back into Belly's shoes, I'm super excited," she says.

Who's going to be in The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 cast?

Erika Doss/Prime Video

Gavin Casalegno (Jeremiah), Lola Tung (Belly), Christopher Briney (Conrad), Sean Kaufman (Steven) in The Summer I Turned Pretty

Considering the third book, We'll Always Have Summer, revolves around Belly, Conrad, and Jeremiah, The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 castwill include Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, and Gavin Casalegno. We're also hoping to see Sean Kaufman, Rain Spencer, Jackie Chung, and Rachel Blanchard again!

After a variety of cast members were spotted around Wilmington, North Carolina, fans were hoping to see Christopher Briney — and it looks like he has finally arrived! "CONRAD FISHERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR IS HOMEEEEEEEEEEE," one X user says along with an image of Christopher Briney.

Your First Look At The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3

Prime Video

The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 first look

I GASPED when I saw this first look at all the characters in The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3. Prime Video did live Summer Watch Parties with the cast (and some exclusive commentary on their favorite episodes), and the sign up page featured Belly, Conrad, and the rest of the gang!

We see Lola Tung, Rain Spencer, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno, and Sean Kaufman hanging out at the Cousins Beach house, and right off the bat things are looking brand new. Both Stephen and Taylor have grown out their hair, while Conrad's looking a little more blond than last season. But, thankfully, the characters still have their bohemian, Americana style which I'd consider a hallmark of the series! I can't wait to see them back in action.

Where can I watch The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3?

The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 will be available to stream on Prime Video, which is where you can watch season 1 and 2 right now!

Who does Conrad end up with in The Summer I Turned Pretty series?

Prime Video

Lola Tung (Belly) and Christopher Briney (Conrad)

While we don't know who Conrad will end up with in The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3, there is one theory that suggests his reunion with Belly will be better than ever. Lola Tung, Rain Spencer, Gavin Casalegno, and other cast members have been spotted around Wilmington — all except Chris Briney.@julevere wonders if they're filming in chronological order for one specific reason.

"You don't see Conrad for ages in book 3," she says. "What if Jenny [Han] is doing that on purpose so the actual moment in the show where Conrad and Belly see each other for the first time, [in a way] that's going to be the first legitimate time those two actors as...Belly and Conrad will see each other."

Waiting as long as possible for Lola Tung and Chris Briney to see each other means that Belly and Conrad's reunion will be more intense, and bring up all the old emotions (and infinity necklaces) that came up during season 2. If there's one thing this show has taught me, it's that you can only run from your feelings for so long and as a member of #TeamConrad, I'm hoping any reunion between the two brings them together for potential future seasons.

How old are the characters?

Erika Doss/Prime Video

Lola Tung (Belly) and Christopher Briney (Conrad)

In season one, Conrad is going to be a freshman in college, while the rest of the characters are still in high school. And at the beginning of season 2, Steven graduates from high school!

How many episodes are in The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3?

Erika Doss/Prime Video

Lola Tung (Belly), Christopher Briney (Conrad), and Rain Spencer (Taylor)

The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 will have 10 episodes instead of eight like the previous two seasons!

Where is The Summer I Turned Pretty filmed?

Amazon Studios/Prime Video

The Summer I Turned Pretty key art

Even though The Summer I Turned Pretty is set on the coast of Massachusetts, the show is filming in Wilmington, North Carolina. This city is actually pretty well known in Hollywood — projects like Iron Man 3,One Tree Hill, and Outer Banks have filmed there! As someone who grew up going to Wilmington every single summer, I can promise you it's just as pretty as it looks (and the fair from season 2 is just as fun!!)

Is there a 4th Summer I Turned Pretty?

John Merrick/Prime Video

Christopher Briney (Conrad) and Lola Tung (Belly)

There is not a fourth The Summer I Turned Pretty book, but that doesn't mean the show has to end with season 3. They've already changed a few details from the books — namely, adding the Stephen/Taylor relationship reminds me of how Gossip Girl gave us Chuck and Blair, a fan-favorite ship that wasn't in those books either! I'm excited to see how the story (and the characters) continue to grow and evolve!

The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 Announcement

Prime Video

Lola Tung (Belly) and Rain Spencer (Taylor)

Prime Video announced the renewal on August 3, right before episode five of the second season hit the streaming service. Just like the season two trailer, Taylor Swift's "august" plays in the background and I'm in tears.

“We’ve been delighted to see the passion with which fans have embraced The Summer I Turned Pretty,” Amazon and MGM Studios' head of television Vernon Sanders says in a press release. “Jenny Han is a gifted storyteller, whose fans have been clamoring for the third chapter of this story. We’re excited today to share the news that they have a lot more Summer to look forward to."

It's a busy week astrologicallywith December in full swing, and we can make progress on many fronts if we have the desire and will. With the Sun (representing our egos and personas) and Mercury (symbolizing our minds and communication) both in Sagittarius, we're feeling philosophical and open to broad perspectives. There is an eagerness to learn and expand our consciousness. However, be mindful of a tendency to be stubborn or act as if we have all the answers — no one appreciates a know-it-all. Practice active listening and choose your words carefully.

So what does this all mean for your weekly horoscope? Read on to find out!

What's happening astrologically during the week of December 1-8, 2024?

Codi Foster

The Sun opposes Jupiter until December 17, creating a tendency to procrastinate or overindulge. Don’t let these impulses overshadow the meaningful progress you can make, especially while Mercury forms a beneficial trine with Chiron, the wounded healer and shaman of the zodiac. This alignment supports deep psychological work and provides access to our inner psyche. Sudden revelations may occur. Writing in a journal can be enlightening, meeting with a therapist can accelerate healing, and an astrology reading may offer valuable insights into the blocks hindering your growth and how to overcome them. If you are willing to put in the effort, you’ll have ample opportunities for both joy and transformation this week.

Mars will join Mercuryin retrograde, from December 7 through February 24, 2025. During this retrograde period, we’ll benefit from slowing down, consciously practicing patience, and ensuring we get plenty of rest. For those prone to a short temper, it’s especially important to be self-aware. Sagittarius season often encourages bluntness, but fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) and air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) need to be particularly cautious with their words. Take the high road, avoid unnecessary confrontations, and remain kind and thoughtful. Don’t hesitate to stand up for yourself for others, as you might feel more courageous than usual. With both personal planets in retrograde, it is really important to plan ahead, review our work, exercise caution, be mindful, patient and have a sense of humor.

Rachel Bacchi

Finally, Venus forms a trine with Uranus, culminating on December 7. You might feel inspired to try something new, as your desires could push you to seek unique and exciting forms of stimulation, pleasure, and enjoyment. Creativity is heightened, allowing you to explore and express your artistic side in fresh ways. Experiment in the studio, garden, kitchen, or even the bedroom — this energy aligns perfectly with Sagittarius' adventurous spirit.

Aries (March 21 – April 20)

Now is your time to shine and share your wealth of life experience with the world around you, Aries. If you’re a teacher, you can effectively impart your knowledge and wisdom to your students. As a parent, the lessons you teach your kids will have a lasting impact. At work, you might record the perfect video or write a compelling proposal. Publishing or producing projects is favored this week. Let your imagination soar, and don’t hold back — your world may expand exponentially.

Taurus (April 21 – May 21)

Feeling a lots of feelings right now, Taurus? It’s a little early, but this is a great week to write your holiday cards. You’ll feel inspired to connect with loved ones on a deep, meaningful level. Taking your time to write from the heart can spark healing. Connect with elders and be playful with children. Consider planning a yoga retreat or ski trip with family and friends. However you decide to embrace these big feelings, do whatever you can to nurture meaningful connections for yourself while you've got all this love swirling around.

Gemini (May 22 – June 21)

You've got a lot of big ideas, and right now is such a good time to embrace them, no matter where you are — but especially at work. Collaboration within your career will amplify your creative energy. Brainstorming with others can help you refine ideas and find solutions. And while you're at it, take on leadership roles when possible — your natural communication skills will shine. However, don’t rush; take your time and double-check your work before submitting final projects. PS: Your intimate relationships will thrive as you engage in heart-to-heart conversations outside of work, too!

Cancer (June 22 – July 22)

You’re likely to feel energized and ready to tackle a variety of tasks this week. It's definitely great to get into gear and lean into that energy, but don't neglect your softer, sensual side while you do so. Pay attention to your dreams — they’ll carry significant messages. Connect with your partner and be willing to be vulnerable to deepen your bond. If you’re single, focus on building a stronger relationship with yourself. Refine your self-care routine and ensure you’re nurturing your mind, body, and spirit equally. You can do it!

Leo (July 23 – August 22)

Your words have power this week, and you’ll excel at advocating for causes you’re passionate about. Channel your energy toward creative goals or community projects — you’ll likely inspire those around you. If you don’t already have a community, seek one out. Consider joining a book club, cooking class, or art group to connect with like-minded individuals. It's the perfect time for you to harness all that excitability that colors your days.

Virgo (August 23 – September 21)

This week, focus on nurturing yourself and reflecting on the meaning of “home.” Is it simply a place, or something you hold in your heart? Explore questions about your lineage and how you were nurtured. Balance home and work life by setting plans to maintain harmony throughout the holidays. Create a magical, peaceful space by cleaning or decorating your home, and connect with loved ones, such as your mother or grandmother.

Libra (September 22 – October 22)

Your world is expanding, and growth opportunities abound. Conversations with others — whether neighbors, clerks, or friends — might shift your perspective. Make plans for a journey or enroll in a class to broaden your horizons. Deepen relationships with siblings through meaningful conversations, paving the way for a fulfilling connection. Just don't let indecision keep you from embracing this energy to the fullest!

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)

It's a really, really good time to tackle your financial responsibilities this week, Scorpio. Meet with a financial planner to assess your resources and plan for future growth. Avoid impulsive spending if you receive unexpected windfalls. Stick to a holiday budget to avoid financial stress later. Communicate clearly with loved ones about your goals and balance your dreaming with realistic planning. This will go a long way!

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)

Nobody has to tell you this twice: you're fiery to the max, Sagittarius. Choose your words carefully and ensure you’re communicating with sensitivity, especially with loved ones. While your enthusiasm is contagious, it may overwhelm more sensitive individuals. Channel your energy into clear-cut projects or physical activities, like dancing or working out. You also wanna pay attention to your dreams — they may reveal valuable insights from your subconscious.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)

While you're usually the more grounded, in-the-moment person, don't forget that your dreams hold important messages. Before bed, set the intention to remember them and prepare to record them upon waking. Jungian theory suggests every dream character represents a part of yourself — listen to these messages. Oh, and music can also help unlock your inner wisdom this week. Take time to enjoy or create music that uplifts your soul.

Aquarius (January 20 – February 18)

You're typically pretty connected with your community, but acts of service will be deeply and especially fulfilling this week. Group activities are definitely highlighted for you right now — be sure share your knowledge and take on leadership roles in the appropriate settings when you can. Balance your external efforts with quiet contemplation and spiritual practice to stay grounded. Focus on what makes you feel safe and extend that to others in your community.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)

This is a good week for you to take time to pause and set your intentions, Pisces. Clear communication is essential at work, so pay attention to how you express yourself (and maybe add an extra emoji or two to that Slack message), double-check and refine your projects before submission., and practice presentations to ensure success. And though work is a centerpiece of your week, be sure to balance your professional life with moments of quiet reflection, as these will inspire you and deepen your connection to the spiritual realm.

Taylor Swift fans everywhere were shocked to discover The Tortured Poets Department wasn't exclusively about Joe Alwyn — it actually featured a ton of songs that seem to be about Matty Healy, from "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived" to "loml" and "Guilty As Sin?" Despite the fact the ex-couple met in 2014, and Taylor even wore 1975 merch during her 1989 era, they've never actually been featured on each other's albums (aside from one Midnights song that got scrapped). But it looks like that could all change because one anonymous source claims Taylor Swift will actually be on Matty's new album!

Here's everything you need to know about those Taylor Swift & Matty Healy album rumors.

  • Taylor Swift & Matty Healy have talked about each other since 2014, but were romantically linked over the summer of 2023.
  • Multiple songs on The Tortured Poets Department appear to be about The 1975 frontman, who says he doesn't want to write music about "casual" relationships.
  • However one DeuxMoi source says we could be seeing a Taylor Swift feature soon.

Is Taylor Swift on Matty Healy's new album?

Fans immediately went into a spiral when Matty shared "Downtown Lights" by Annie Lennox on his Instagram story. After all, that's the song Taylor Swift mentions in "Guilty as Sin?", one of the songs that appear to be about The 1975 front man. In the song, Taylor sings about feeling trapped in a relationship, while another person sends her Annie's song.

"Drowning in the Blue Nile / He sent me 'Downtown Lights' / I hadn't heard it in a while / My boredom's bone deep / This cage was once just fine / Am I allowed to cry?"

One source told DeuxMoi that they'd seen Matty's new tracklist, and the song choice was an Easter egg for Taylor's feature! Consider me gagged.

Will Matty Healy's new album feature songs about Taylor?

No, it looks like Matty won't write songs about his relationship Taylor Swift after he told People he didn't want to write about "casual" relationships. "I think that a lot of artists, they become very interested in their lore, or they become interested in the things that have happened outside of their art that people know about, and they want to address that," he says.

But Matty doesn't want to write about his relationships just because they're getting attention from the public. "I would kind of just be lying if I made a record about, I don’t know, all the stuff that was said about me or my casual romantic liaisons or whatever it may be that I’ve kind of become known for, just because I was famous," he says.

"The idea of making a record about something that personally happened to me," he continues, "that by the time I put it out is gonna be like two years old, I see people doing that as well, and it’s not interesting." Yikes.

But we could see songs about his fiancée Gabbriette Bechtel, and I'm hoping we do!

Is there a new 1975 album coming?

Yes, Matty Healy revealed during a performance that we're getting a new album soon! “We’re working on a new record now,” he said while sitting at the piano. He shared a snippet from a new song before telling the audience, "It’s a line actually, what is it…‘I take a minute when I think I won’t die from stopping.’”

“And that’s really how I’ve felt for a long time,” he continues. “We really appreciate you guys and thank you so much. We’re going to go away and hopefully make you a good new album. I just don’t know what to do in the meantime, really.”

Is Taylor Swift releasing a new album?

While a second source claims Taylor is releasing a new album December 6 and record stores have been notified, another user says the opposite, commenting, "As someone with multiple very close record store connections, I assure you, record stores have not be alerted of anything." December 6 kicks off the final Eras Tour weekend, so we'll have to see what kinds of tricks Taylor has up her sleeve!

What do you think about this Taylor Swift & Matty Healy rumors? Would you want to see them collab? Let us know in the comments and read up on The Taylor Swift Boyfriends You Love & The Ones You Didn't Know She Dated.

From beauty faves like Dieux and Kiehl's to home goods from Amazon and Walmart, these are the Black Friday deals you simply can't miss.

What is Black Friday?

Kaboompics / PEXELS

Black Friday is the Friday after Thanksgiving that typically signifies the start of holiday shopping season, though many retailers have started to launch their Black Friday deals earlier year over year. A lot of the deals that stores and brands offer during Black Friday outpace their other sales events (such as Memorial Day and Labor Day) in terms of savings.

Gustavo Fring / PEXELS

Black Friday will land on November 29, 2024.

What is Cyber Monday?

Cottonbro Studio / PEXELS

Cyber Monday is the Monday after Thanksgiving that highlights savings and deals online as opposed to in-store offers. It's one of the busiest times of year for online shopping.

When is Cyber Monday 2024?

Anna Shvets / PEXELS

Cyber Monday will land on December 2, 2024.

When's the best time to shop for holiday gifts?

Vlada Karpovich / PEXELS

We're big believers that it's never too early to start shopping for holiday gifts. The sooner you shop, the better, so you can check everyone off your list ahead of the busy holiday season and have some peace of mind once the real festivities start! Plus, if you're shopping online, starting early gives you ample time to wait for items to be shipped and delivered to your door. If deals and savings are what you're looking for, Black Friday and Cyber Monday offer some really great opportunities.

What's the best thing to shop for during Black Friday and Cyber Monday?

Kaboompics / PEXELS

The best thing to shop for during Black Friday deals and Cyber Monday promotions really depends on what your needs are as well as the items you're scoping out to treat yourself (or the people you're gifting for the holidays). Typically, big-ticket items like home appliances, tech products like earbuds, laptops, TVs, and tablets, and luxury self-care tools are heavily discounted during this time.
