So what will you all learn in this course?
You’ll learn the ins-and-outs of how to use patterns and textures in Adobe Illustrator. First, you’ll cover how to find inspiration. Then, using supplies you might already have at home, you’ll draw or paint a custom pattern that you’ll upload into Adobe Illustrator.
The last part of the class will have you designing a custom word art print by taking a quote or phrase that you love, stylizing it with different fonts, and then adding the patterns and textures you’ve created into those fonts. Cool, right?
By the end of the class, students will know how to:
- Upload custom patterns and textures in Adobe Illustrator.
- Add patterns and textures into fonts and/or your own digitized hand lettering.
- Use the best techniques to vectorize artwork in Adobe Illustrator.
