‘This Is Us’ Star Justin Hartley Says Season 3 Has Some ‘Super Heartbreaking’ Revelations

Mandy Moore already cautioned viewers that season 3 of This Is Us would be an emotional one, and now Justin Hartley is doubling down on her warning by foreshadowing some of the dramatic storylines ahead.

“It’s a healing thing for him — so he’s going to get a lot of information, some stuff that he didn’t know and didn’t expect,” Hartley recently told Entertainment Weekly of his character Kevin Pearson’s season 3 trip to Vietnam. “And it’s going to jar a few things.”

The show’s season 2 finale featured a series of flash-forward scenes that left lots of question marks in the Pearson’s long and winding family history. Chief among them was a scene showing Kevin on an airplane bound for Vietnam alongside his new girlfriend, Beth’s cousin Zoe — which, well, what?

Kevin was also seen looking at a photo of his deceased father, Jack (Milo Ventimiglia), and Jack’s little brother Nicky from when they were stationed in Vietnam together. Nicky, we would learn, never came home from Vietnam, and Jack was never fully honest about what his time there entailed.

Hartley told EW that what Kevin uncovers on his trip is “super heartbreaking” and “shocking.” And he’s not the only one trying to prepare us for the emotional onslaught about to ensue: Moore (Rebecca Pearson) said that the first episode of season 3 is not for the “faint of heart,” while Chrissy Metz (Kate Pearson) said she was “not sure” if she was okay after reading the script. We’re in for a doozy, guys.

This Is Us season 3 premieres Tuesday, September 25, at 9pm ET/PT on NBC.

Any Nobody Wants This season 2 news is good news — but Leighton Meester joining the cast is possibly the best update we could ever hope for! Variety reported that the Gossip Girl actress will appear on the show, and she's playing a character that we're sure will add plenty of laughs to the already very funny series.

Leighton's husband (Adam Brody, duh) gave a breakout performance in the show last year. From his instant chemistry with Kristen Bell (that KISS) to the unique relationship the the show portrayed, it was very clear fans couldn't get enough of it. And now, they'll get an extra dose of excitement with Leighton coming along for the ride. Let's get into it!

Here's everything we know about Leighton Meester joining Nobody Wants This season 2!

Adam Rose/Netflix

On February 20, 2025 Variety reported that Leighton Meester is officially joining Nobody Wants This season 2 alongside actor Miles Fowler. According to the article, Leighton's playing a character named Abby, an "Instagram mommy influencer" who used to be middle school BFFs with Joanne (Kristen Bell). We can't WAIT to see how that hilarity ensues — and how Adam Brody gets roped into it all.

This isn't the first time Leighton and Adam have appeared onscreen together before. Adam's actually appeared on several of Leighton's projects, including Single Parents, River Wild, and Good Cop/Bad Cop. They even co-starred in the 2014 film, Life Partners, alongside Gillian Jacobs (The Bear). Fingers crossed these two continue working on projects together for years to come!

In the meantime, we're counting down the days until Nobody Wants Thisseason 2 finally drops — and we can see our fave couple on screen together again!

Jason Kelce may not play for the Philadelphia Eagles anymore, but even after retiring from the team last year, he and his wife, Kylie Kelce, have definitely remained in the spotlight. While their very successful podcasts (Not Gonna Lieand New Heights) continue to grow by the day, so does their adorable family!

Kylie and Jason first met on Tinder in 2014, and they later tied the knot in 2018. Since then, they've welcomed three kids — all girls — into the world together. The fan-favorite couple is expecting their fourth child, and people are so excited for them! However, Jason and Kylie have faced backlash for one parenting decision: how they've decided to name each of their kids. Here's the deal!

Scroll to find out the controversial baby names Jason & Kylie Kelce keep picking out!

Not Gonna Lie/Youtube

With each of their daughters, Jason and Kylie Kelce have picked pretty gender-neutral names: Wyatt, Elliotte, and Bennett. For their fourth, Kylie detailed how she and Jason want to keep the gender-neutral trend going – not just to ensure the name fits their latest addition but also out of fairness to their other kids.

"We're doing a little crossover action. I feel like we have to lean a bit towards those sort of gender-neutral names for our fourth because we have Wyatt, Elliotte, [and] Bennett," she explained on Not Gonna Lie.

"So if we do a full commit to a girly name at this point, it would not sit well with the other three, I think. Eventually, they'll be like, 'Why did they get a cute girly name?'"

Call Her Daddy/Youtube

Yet, given how Not Gonna Lie started in December 2024, and Jason has been hosting New Heights with his brother, Travis Kelce, since 2022, plenty of eyes have been watching the couple's every move. And according to Kylie, certain fans haven't hesitated to criticize their baby name selections.

She recently appeared on Call Her Daddy, hosted by Alex Cooper, this February and opened up about some reasons why the public tends to hate on her. Kylie revealed how she and Jason received a ton of backlash following the announcement of all three of their children's names.

"We had that situation with Wyatt; our eldest is Wyatt. People are disturbed by the fact that we've named her Wyatt," Kylie detailed.

Not Gonna Lie/Youtube

Even so, she believes her daughter is "very much a Wyatt," and anyone who meets her daughter always agrees.

Additionally, Kylie shared how, when she was pregnant with Wyatt, people told her not to share her chosen baby name or else she'd "get reactions." But she didn't let that phase her.

"I'm like, 'I don't think you understand. I really don't care at that point.' If I've chosen, we're going with it," she recalled.

In true Kylie fashion, she even quipped about how perhaps her daughters will have an easier time as professionals in the future. After all, with gender-neutral names, Kylie joked that their "emails are going to be answered so fast."

It remains to be seen what baby name Kylie and Jason will pick for their fourth. Fans may just have to wait until her due date in the summer.

Sullivan's Crossing season 3 will be here before you know it. And honestly, thank goodness after that insane season 2 finale!! Well, after a tease that the new Sullivan's Crossing episodes will be super "emotionally charged," we finally have a first look at Chad Michael Murray, Scott Patterson, and Morgan Kohan in season 3. Let's unpack it!

Here's your first look at Sullivan's Crossing season 3, coming to The CW soon.

Um, did the 'Sullivan's Crossing' season 3 first look just spoil the premiere?

In our first look at the new season, we see Chad Michael Murray's Cal and Morgan Kohan's Maggie getting cozy. Maggie wears a super cute white tee and jeans combo, while Cal's in a henley and jeans, but in a surprising turn of events, fans are way more concerned with who's on the second slide than with their favorite couple.

Because after Sully's fate was left up in the air at the end of the Sullivan's Crossing season 2 finale, seeing him in the first look has fans hoping he'll pull through.

"So that 2nd pic... does that mean Sully didn't die in the fire ????" one Instagram user asks, while another jokes, "that’s what I was thinking! Like way to ruin the cliffhanger!"

ICYMI, Sullivan's Crossing season 2 ended with the diner catching on fire...and Sully getting trapped inside. But thankfully the story doesn't end there.

“We are so excited to return to Sullivan’s Crossing next year for a third season,” Brad Schwartz, CW's President, tells Deadline. “Roma, this talented cast, and the entire creative team have built an incredible world full of emotionally charged storytelling that has resonated with viewers over the last two years. And tonight’s season finale includes a can’t-miss cliffhanger that will leave fans clamoring for more.”

Ahead of season 2, Morgan Kohan told Brit + Co that "Season 2 just feels really elevated from season 1," and that the next installment offers "a real good insight into so many more of the characters that we already love and kind of get to know a lot more about them, and how and why they operate." And I can only imagine season 3 will provide even more nuance and detail to those relationships. I can't wait!

Sullivan's Crossing season 3 is premiering in Canada in April 2025 — stay tuned for its official US date! Here are 25 New TV Shows You NEED To Watch In 2025.

Taylor Swift became a part of the It Ends With Us saga when her song "My Tears Ricochet" was featured in the movie's trailer, but none of us could have expected that by December 2024, the popstar would be pulled into Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively's legal battle. The singer, as well as Blake's husband Ryan Reynolds, was allegedly present for a conversation between Blake and Justin...and could now be deposed in their March 2026 trial. And while past reports say she didn't have any creative involvement in bringing It Ends With Us to the screen, apparently she did have a hand in casting Isabela Ferrer as young Lily. Wait, what?

Here's what Justin Baldoni & Isabela Ferrer had to say about Taylor Swift's involvement in It Ends With Us.

Taylor Swift was "a helpful part" of casting young Lily.

At the beginning of February 2025, multiple Us Weekly sources claimed Taylor didn't actually have any creative involvement in the movie. “Taylor has always been Blake’s friend, but Taylor doesn’t have any involvement in the case. She wasn’t part of the movie,” an insider says. “Taylor was not a producer on the film and had no creative involvement.”

“While she and Blake are friends, this case is now a legal matter for the courts to resolve,” they continue. “Dragging Taylor into it is unnecessary and misrepresents what really happened.”

But in a resurfaced video, Justin Baldoni tells Access Hollywood that the team searched far and wide to find Isabela Ferrer to play young Lily. "When you have somebody as beloved and recognizable as Blake," he says in the interview, "the only way it can really work is if you have somebody that resembles her."

And if you've seen the movie, you know that Isabela and Blake look so similar! “I had actually brought in and showed her casting tape to Blake and Taylor and they were both, like, ‘Yes! her,'” he said. “And that’s a true story.”

"Yes, she did," Isabela herself told Extra at the It Ends With Us premiere. “I don’t even know if I’m supposed to be saying it, but I’m saying it! Yeah, she was a helpful part of the process of the audition, which I found out later after I got it and that rocked my world. I have no words.”

The videos resurfaced among rumors of a feud between Blake and Taylor, which started flying after it was revealed Blake allegedly called Taylor (among others) as a dragon in a text to Justin. You know...like in Game of Thrones. "I'm Khaleesi, and like her, I happen to have a few dragons," Blake wrote. "For better or worse, but usually for better. Because my dragons also protect those I fight for. So really we all benefit from those gorgeous monsters of mine. you will too, I can promise you."

A Page Six source claims that Taylor “can’t help but feel used” by Blake Lively, and that she “doesn’t appreciate being referred to as one of Blake’s dragons.” In fact, the rumors spiraled so far that some internet users speculated that's why Blake wasn't with Taylor at the Super Bowlthis year.

But Swifties can rest assured because "Taylor is not shading Blake or is she trying to teach her a lesson," according to a Daily Mailinsider. It isn't like that. Even if Taylor did invite Blake, Blake would not come...Blake would not want to overshadow Taylor ever."
