If you thought Ryan Lochte’s Rio scandal was turning into quite the awkward event, wait until you read this!
Meet Dan Walker, the BBC Olympics late-night host who got more than he bargained for when he found himself positioned in front of a couple that was engaged in a form of exercise that wasn’t exactly part of the Olympic line-up (Read: They appeared to be getting it on).

"They're reading a book in a strange pose."#Rio2016 with @mrdanwalker on @bbcfour – anything can happen! https://t.co/sHmEl30frP

After receiving several inquiries via social media regarding the couple’s *questionable* actions, Dan attempted to explain.
“We’re not going to zoom in, but rest assured, it’s not… It’s not THAT,” he says awkwardly. “It’s just a hug. There’s a bit of…” he trails off before saying, “They’re reading a book!”
Mmm hmmm. SURE they are.
Turning around to get a peek for himself, he says, “They’re reading a book…in a strange pose. We’ll find out what the book is, maybe a little bit later on.”
Taking to Twitter to “clarify,” Dan wrote the following.
Just for clarification… they were reading a book!!! That couple were definitely reading a book 😂😂😂 #Copacanoodle

But the antics didn’t end there!
During the course of his coverage, Dan’s segment has also been privy to a man urinating in the sea, as well as being bombarded by what he calls a “hen party” (Bachelorette to us), who all but took over the show, chanting the bride’s name of “Maria” as well as “BBC.”
Brazilian bride-to-be Maria it's safe to say @mrdanwalker and the rest of us will never forget you. #Rio2016https://t.co/6IBVF1VsGL

Now, he’s been the victim of a subtitles mishap, which sees the screen showing a VERY different term than the “messed about” one Dan meant to say.
Please tell me this isn't what the subtitles actually said! I said 'messed about' 😂 https://t.co/Hcu8iIhPJs
