Lara Jean Is the Killer Next Door in the Horror Movie Version of ‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’

Like pretty much everyone else in the world, we swooned over Lara Jean Covey’s sweet relationship with Peter Kavinsky in Netflix’s summer rom-com To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. But what seemed at the time like a dreamy teen romance takes a sinister turn in Netflix’s reimagining of the film as a horror flick. (It is Halloween, after all.)

The fake trailer for the slasher version of the movie starts out — much like the original — with the introduction of Lara Jean’s letters. “My letters are my most secret possessions,” Lana Condor says in a voiceover, as ominous music plays in the background. “Rereading my letters reminds me of how powerful my emotions can be. How all-consuming.”

As she talks, we see the beginning of her love story with Peter (Noah Centineo) — the back-pocket spin in the lunchroom, the cheek kiss at the party. But this time there’s a sinister undertone to all of it.

“Look, Peter, I don’t think either one of us thought that this was going to go on for this long. I think we need to call it,” she says. He accuses her of wanting to end it because she’s scared — but it seems like maybe he’s the one who should be afraid.

The sweet crushes she experienced in the original Netflix film are dangerous obsessions in this freaky retelling. Each boy who received a love letter in the original story Kenny from camp, Peter from seventh grade, Lucas from homecoming, John Ambrose from Model UN, and her sister’s ex-boyfriend Josh is now a target.

“I’m not that innocent,” Lara Jean tells Peter, as scenes from the film appear in rapid succession. Toward the end of the trailer, she finds him in the hot tub and asks, “All by yourself out here?”

The music eventually builds to a scream as the title card appears, changing To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before to the far more terrifying To All the Boys I’ve *Killed* Before.

This isn’t the first fake trailer Netflix has dropped this week. The streaming service also reimagined its original series The Crown as a chilling horror movie.

Dating or marrying someone you can't be yourself with feels awful, but Gisele Bündchen is done with that. She's moved on from life with Tom Brady and has been happily enjoying her relationship with jiu-jitsu trainer Joaquim Valente. She even announced she was pregnant with their first child together last year! But that doesn't means she's forgotten how she felt during her former marriage, nor is she shying away from embracing all the new feelings!

Gisele Bündchen is basking in the afterglow that comes from ending a draining relationship. According to Page Six, a source told them she's experiencing a "freer" feeling with her current boyfriend Joaquim Valente. This comes as a surprise because she and Tom Brady always looked happy in pictures together, but we see how they don't always show what happens behind closed doors.

But she's not slighting Tom! If anything, the source noted the former model is "grateful for what she had" with him and "is blessed for their children."

The observation Gisele's made is noticing that she "felt like she lived in Tom [Brady’s] shadow for a long time," according to the source. Sometimes we shrink ourselves so we don't eclipse the grandiose personality of our partners which can make us feel invisible over time. That's not to say Gisele wanted to overshadow Tom, but feeling heard and seen in a relationship should apply to both partners.

Knowing that the source says she's "absolutely loving this new chapter," it's incredibly valid for Gisele to embrace what feels like a breath of fresh air!

In a previous Page Six reporting, a different insider dished about how Tom felt upon learning Gisele was having a baby with Joaquim. "It just wasn’t something that was on his radar. So when Gisele broke the news to him he was stunned, to say the least." However, the former pro-football player accepted this new development in his ex-wife's life.

"At the end of the day, Tom’s sole focus is on his children and his career. What Gisele decides to do with her own life is really none of his business."

Love it or hate it, Meghan Markle's With Love, Meghan series has been renewed for Season 2. It's the talk of the internet with fans and critics alike chiming in with their opinions about seeing her embrace a "soft girl" era. But before we dive into what people have been saying about the new Netflix show, we're dishing out what's to come once everyone gets their season 1 fix.

P.s. We're also dishing about her controversial name change 👀.

Keep scrolling to learn about Season 2 of With Love, Meghan — and what you might've missed during Season 1!

Is 'With Love, Meghan' really renewed for Season 2?

Jenna Peffley/Netflix

This is not a drill. With Love, Meghan has been greenlit for Season 2 at Netflix with the media giant confirming the news themselves. The host of the show also shared the huge news on Instagram just mere hours ago.

Her caption reads: "Oh, how I love ASMR! If you’re loving Season 1, just wait until you see the fun we cooked up on Season 2! Thanks for joining the party, and an endless thanks to the amazing team and crew who helped bring it all to life! @netflix."

Has a release date been shared?

The news is still fresh so we'll have to wait longer to see when Meghan will be back with more feel-good tips about how to romanticize your life.

Guests like Mindy Kaling, Daniel Martin, Abigail Spencer, and Alice Waters have appeared on the show. From engaging in fun conversations to making memorable recipes together, Meghan and her guests seemed like they enjoying each other's company.

What's up with Meghan's name change?

Justin Coit/Netflix

During a segment where Meghan and Mindy Kaling were talking, the latter appeared "shocked" when something she said was corrected. She kept calling Meghan by her former name to which the latter said, "It's so funny, too, that you keep saying, 'Meghan Markle.' You know, I'm Sussex now."

As reported by E! News, Mindy hasn't thought twice about the moment. "You know, I had a great time...We were making sandwiches and then they’ll push in on my face on TikTok and they’ll be like, ‘Look at this emotion you felt,'" she said during an appearance on The View. She added, "...and I honestly didn’t even remember it because we shot it like nine months ago."

How do people feel about 'With Love, Meghan?'

Courtesy of Netflix

Some people are thrilled about With Love, Meghan while others feel the Sussex isn't relatable. A Screen Rant article begins by saying, "...the series comes across as a wealthy socialite playing house, while the world is forced to stand by and watch how the other half lives."

However, Glamour thinks otherwise. "What’s not to love about the Montecito landscape, or the ASMR-inducing scene when Markle and her beekeeper are filmed double-straining their freshly harvested golden honey dripping indulgently down into a bowl, or the soothing sounds of Markle’s voice as she walks you through her favorite ways to make a houseguest feel spoiled and special."

No matter where you stand, Meghan's not giving up on sharing recipes and what she considers to be fun conversations.
