These Top Trader Joe’s Fall Items Are *Spooky* Good

trader joe's fall items

The pumpkins are indeed outside of Trader Joe’s, which means fall items are finally in full swing! I took a jaunt down the aisles of my closest store with the fall spirit in mind to determine a list of the most finger-licking, crave-worthy treats around – just in time for the season. Here are the tastiest ones to pick from the patch.

Mini Spicy Pumpkin Samosas – 10/10

Tell me why I lost my mind when I saw these snacks in-store! Being an Indian food stan, I knew I had to swipe these from the frozen aisle. Plus, they were marketed as spicy – an element I cannot resist, like, ever.

Each small (they weren’t joking when they said ‘mini’) pocket of dough envelopes a medley of pumpkin, potato, and paneer, and it proved to be downright delish. My only wish is for them to be made bigger so I could enjoy a better yumminess per bite ratio.

Pumpkin Brioche Twist – 10/10

This loaf is a 10/10 on its own, but I’d rank it a 12/10 when it’s used to make French toast. That’s exactly what I did on a lazy Saturday morning, and wow, was it worth it!

Soaking the brioche in a mix of milk, eggs, and vanilla was indeed the move – each slice became unbelievably tender and moist, and cooked to perfection on the stove. The pumpkin flavoring definitely came through to introduce even more sweetness into my breakfast.

If you’re not a French toast fan, the Pumpkin Brioche Twist makes for an excellent Trader Joe’s fall snack with some silky cream cheese spread!

Harvest Blend Herbal Tea – 10/10

I’ll be bold and say that this is the best fall drink I’ve had thus far. This aromatic tea blend is jam-packed with autumnal vibes – from the cinnamon to the ginger to the apple, each sip feels like you’re strolling through a hidden trail with falling leaves surrounding you.

Though you could make it iced, this tea is best served hot. It’s an amazing, caffeine-free choice for warming up on cold days (which we’re getting more and more of). I prepped a mug alongside a freshly-baked batch of the Taylor Swift chai cookies, and the pair was pure heaven.

Pumpkin Butternut Squash Bisque – 10/10

Having never tried a pre-packaged Trader Joe’s soup before (sue me), I wasn’t sure if I was in for a treat or a trick, but as it turns out, I could honestly chug this bisque straight from the carton if I let myself.

I heated up a small amount in a mug (the only acceptable soup vessel, TBH) for lunchtime, and the aromas alone were intoxicating. It literally smelled exactly like a fall comfort meal. The bisque appeared very simple and straightforward, but to my surprise, it carried a pretty complex and balanced flavor – sweetness from the pumpkin, savory-ness from the squash and spices – that erased any need for salt or pepper. I always expect soups or bisques to lean savory, so this pick did *not* let me down.

Halloween Joe-Joe's Cookies – 9/10

In my mind, these little spooky sandwich cookies are the Oreo’s evil twin – but only in the cutest way possible. Covered in Jack-o’-lantern illustrations, each cookie has a generous amount of orange-tinted icing lying between two crispy chocolate wafers, which is a combo that’s hard to mess up, IMO.

The wafers were a little softer than I’d expected when I took a bite, but the overall texture didn’t bother me. When I factored in the sweet icing layer, everything fell into place.

Pumpkin Spice Granola Bark – 8/10

This granola bark made for the ultimate snack – so much so, that I could’ve devoured the entire bag. Via the packaging, the small bars are crafted from a mix of gluten-free oats, pumpkin puree, almonds, coconut oil, warm spices, and maple syrup, a conglomeration which then gets a final layer of dark chocolate and salted pumpkin seeds. Sounds like a perfect balance of everything you’d want in a snack, right?

Right. The Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Spice Granola Bark provides a satisfying treat, not only texture-wise, but nutrition-wise, too. I was confused where the pumpkin flavors were, though! The pumpkin impression seemed to be missing from these bites, but there were more interesting things going on, like the *perfect* level of saltiness and the oh-so rich chocolate, that I wasn’t sad about it.

Apple Cider Donuts – 7/10

The fan-favorite Apple Cider Donuts from TJ’s made *quite* the return this fall, as my local store had a whole wall full of ‘em. Since I didn’t get the chance to sink my teeth into one last year, this season proved the perfect time for me to snatch a box off the shelf for some at-home enjoyment.

If there’s one thing about me, it’s that I love a cake donut. I’ll gladly stick to savoring the dense, chewy treat rather than rush my way through its flaky-light, traditional counterpart. According to the Trader Joe’s Fearless Flyer I picked up, the Apple Cider Donuts’ cake-style dough gets lightly fried then coated in “generous amounts” of cinnamon and sugar – which was evident when I went to pick one up for snack time. No complaints with that, though – I’m the sweet treat queen.

Though so tasty, one thing that irked me about this supposedly-beloved fall item was that I never once detected the apple cider. For a donut that’s allegedly “bursting with fresh-from-the-orchard apple flavor,” I was only left craving more.

Pumpkin-Flavored Joe-Joe's Cookies – 7/10

There are tons of sweets on the Trader Joe's fall items front. Comparable to the Halloween Joe-Joe's Cookies, the pumpkin iteration features vanilla wafer cookies that surround an extremely sweet, bright orange pumpkin-flavored filling. My main obsession with this treat was the cookie-to-creme ratio – it made each bite I took overly soft and succulent; perfect for dipping in milk. On the other hand, they were ridiculously sweet, which made it hard to keep snacking. One or two will do you good!

Trader Joe's Spiced Cider – 7/10

Trader Joe’s Spiced Cider is a returning favorite to this year’s fall items, and it brings exactly what the season beckons for on the beverage front. Based on my tasting, it’s a bright blend of apple cider and warming spices that almost reminded me of apple juice! I tried it both cold and hot, and I have to admit, it’s *so* much better when warmed. I’m not particularly blown away by the cider, though, hence my ranking.

Greek Nonfat Pumpkin Yogurt – 7/10

TBH, I wished this pumpkin yogurt tasted more like pumpkin. Trying it on its own first proved to be pretty disappointing because of this missing flavor piece!

Moving past the blandness, I enjoyed this fall item most in a yogurt bowl. I topped it with some chopped apple, cinnamon granola, and honey, and it was a true delight!

If you’re motivated to try this pumpkin yogurt this fall, I definitely wouldn’t eat it without pairing it with more ingredients first.

Pumpkin Blondie Brownies – 5/10

These blondies were not textured like blondies at all, which threw off my entire snacking experience. Their consistency was more like cake, and the inclusion of pecans in the batter made them taste like carrot cake than pumpkin anything.

The white chocolate drizzle sort of made up for the lacking texture, but not enough to redeem the dessert. They simply weren’t what I expected, and also didn’t have a trace of pumpkin, hence the 5/10 rating.

I definitely have my go-to’s when it comes to Trader Joe’s frozen meals. Their freezers host some absolute bangers – namely the Soup Dumplings, Spinach & Artichoke Dip, and Vegetable Fried Rice. They’re all on regular rotation around here! Trader Joe’s desserts like the Mint Chip Ice Cream and Lemon Bars are also some of the best items you can pick up from the frozen section.

Because I truly can’t escape from the grasp Trader Joe’s has on me, my fridge, and my wallet, I scrolled through several recent Reddit discussions under r/traderjoes to feed my curiosity about exactly which Trader Joe’s frozen meals other people like me are loving and why. The responses have my cravings going crazy!

Scroll on to see the best Trader Joe’s frozen meals to shop, according to Trader Joe’s shoppers.

Trader Joe's

Hatch Chile Mac & Cheese

“Their mac and cheeses are fire,” as one Redditor put it. One of the most frequently-mentioned macs was this Hatch Chile Mac & Cheese, which is crafted with a classic cheddar and, of course, authentic green chiles straight from Hatch Valley, New Mexico.

Trader Joe's

Roasted Garlic & Pesto Pizza with Deep Fried Crust

“Best I’ve had so far is the Roasted Garlic [&] Pesto Pizza," one person wrote. I have to agree that TJ's kills it in the frozen pizza department!

I really adore their Organic Roasted Vegetable Pizza and (not technically a pizza) their Burrata, Prosciutto & Arugula Flatbread.

This iteration includes all the cheese (mozzarella, provolone, Parmigiano Reggiano, and burrata), fresh pesto, and roasted garlic on a delish deep-fried crust – TJ's describes it as "perfectly crunchy and dreamily airy, chewy, and pillowy."

Trader Joe's

Chicken Gyoza Potstickers

"The potstickers are amazing and such a good price," one TJ's fan said. For just $3.99, you get one pound of these amazing bites. I've bought them over and over and over again and can verify that they're worth the hype!

Stuffed with chicken, cabbage, onion, soy sauce, sesame seed oil, and ginger powder, you can cook 'em any way you like, including steamed, microwaved, or pan-fried.

Trader Joe's

Vegetable Fried Rice

“Vegetable fried rice and any flavored chicken (teriyaki or mandarin is my go-to) then I fix up the fried rice with some extra diced garlic, fresh green onions if I have them," one Redditor offered for an easy meal idea. "It's sooooooo good! Also I bought a bottle of Panda Express mandarin chicken sauce and it really elevates the frozen chicken! Totally recommend.”

I have got to try this combo ASAP. I really like the Vegetable Fried Rice because it's easy to prepare and always has such an enjoyable texture – it's never dry.

Trader Joe's

Family Style Meat Lasagna

“It's really quite good. It's a real bargain at $7," one person said about the Family Style Meat Lasagna. "You could probably make a homemade lasagna four times as big for $28, but you couldn’t make one this size for $7 if your life depended on it. And did I mention it’s really good?”

Okay, I'm sold. I don't even have a family to feed, but I could see this family-style frozen meal being perfect for leftovers!

Trader Joe's

Quiche Lorraine

The Trader Joe's Quiche Lorraine was mentioned quite a bit between Redditors! It's made with a flaky pastry crust, 20% uncured ham, and Swiss cheese, all embedded in a soft egg custard that impressively retains its moisture when you heat the already-cooked frozen pastry back up.

I already love the Broccoli & Cheddar Cheese Quiche so much, so I'm definitely adding this pick to my list for my next TJ's run.

Trader Joe's

Vegetable Biryani

"[The] veg biryani is surprisingly cheap and tasty," one Redditor noted.

This $3 heat-and-eat Trader Joe's frozen meal has a "diverse blend" of flavors to help you shake up your mealtimes. You'll find some yummy rice, seasoned veggies, and delightfully tender vegetable dumplings to top it all off.

Trader Joe's

Outside-In Stuffed Gnocchi

"I love the frozen gnocchi," one thoughtful user wrote. "My kitchen is teensy and I don’t have a dishwasher, so I hate cooking full meals. If I want to have a more “hearty” dinner, I just cook some chicken, chop it up, and throw it into the bowl with the gnocchi. It works great as a diverse base for meals."

Trader Joe's also offers frozen Cauliflower Gnocchi, which I particularly love to serve with grilled chicken and broccoli for an easy dinner.

Trader Joe's

Spicy Thai Shrimp Fried Rice

"Thai shrimp fried rice is my all time favorite," someone else wrote.

This fried rice makes the perfect complete meal in my opinion, since you get grains, veggies, and protein all in one easy-to-make bag. The Thai red chilis add some extra oomph to the flavor, too!

Trader Joe's

Frozen Steel Cut Oatmeal

"Frozen oatmeal!" another TJ's Redditor said. "My breakfast every single morning for years!"

This could make a super easy breakfast if you're n a pinch. Add some berries on top, and boom, you're ready to take on the day.

Trader Joe's

Vegetable Bird's Nests

"The vegetable nests… so good," another person wrote.

These $4 appetizer-worthy bites are essentially little bundles of julienned onions and carrots with chopped kale that have been fried in a tempura batter. Okay, crunch! You can easily make them in the oven, air fryer, or the pan.

Trader Joe's

Vegetable Pad Thai

"I stir fry it in a pan with some broccoli and add an egg at the end with some chili crisp," one home cook wrote. "So good."

And suddenly, I'm craving some noodles! These are seemingly super authentic, since TJ's says they're made by a supplier in Thailand. Each bite is "a little sweet and a little spicy."

Trader Joe's

Soup Dumplings

Soup dumplings FTW! Trader Joe's makes a few different flavors of them, but they're all tasty! Shoppers are still lovin' them, no matter the variety.

Soup dumplings are exactly what they sound like – warm, little pockets filled with some delicious broth and a hearty filling. What I like the most about 'em is how easy they are to heat up in the microwave for a very low-effort meal.

Trader Joe's

Butter Chicken & Basmati Rice

“The frozen Indian meals are so great," one user said. "They taste close to the real deal, plus I can fit them into my daily caloric goals so much easier than eating at my lovely local Indian place... dreamlike.”

Christmas has come early for two reasons: Carpool Karaoke is back — and so is Lady Gaga! Wondering what they have in common? Everything!

The 2010's sensation gave us amazing celebrity appearances with James Corden as driver extraordinaire, and stars like Harry Styles, Katy Perry, and Selena Gomez. Lady Gaga joined the carpool in 2016 — with over 88 million views on Youtube — singing songs like "Million Reasons" and "Bad Romance" to her heart's content.

Finally, the pop star — and the show itself, TBH — made a return this week! And more than that? Lady Gaga even debuted her new Christmas song. I've already played it multiple times, so I know it's about to top my most-played Christmas songs. Excited? Here's everything you need to know about the surprise song drop, the return of Carpool Karaoke, and more!

See how Carpool Karaoke gave us the biggest surprise of 2024 — a new Lady Gaga Christmas song!

- YouTube

In an unexpected trailer for A Carpool Karaoke Christmas, Zane Lowe can be seen accepting a phone call from the one and only James Corden who has a huge favor to ask. The first passenger Lowe picks up is the "Bad Romance" songstress herself — followed by Chappelle Roan and Dua Lipa's own individual appearances.

The car's decked out in green wreaths and festive red bows which adds to the Christmas spirit as everyone sings along to famous holiday songs. Lady Gaga can also be heard singing "Christmas Tree" which has fans in the trailer's comment section besides themselves with glee!

According to Deadline, the special premiered on Apple TV+ December 15, so it's not too late to watch it if you're just as excited as we are. But that's not all!

The outlet also reported Lady Gaga and Lowe released a new version of "Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town" on all streaming music platforms! This means you get to hear the pop star give the nostalgic song a punk rock vibe that's now stuck in our heads.

If Lady Gaga tells us not to pout or cry, we're going to listen! (And sing along while we're at it 😉)

Girl dinner lovers, it's time to listen up. Trader Joe’s just dropped a delicious $4 item that’s worthy of upgrading all your snacky meals, and shoppers are literally drooling over it – myself included.

Trader Joe's

Trader Joe’s brand-new Caesar Salad Dip features everything you love about Caesar salad, but, of course, in dip form: Caesar-seasoned sour cream, mayonnaise, anchovy paste, Parmesan cheese, and finely shredded Romaine lettuce are included in the mix. Cravings hitting yet? Mine surely are!

Tj’s fan account @trader_joes_treasure_hunt recently shared the Caesar Salad Dip with their followers, and they immediately swarmed to the comment section to sound off about its sheer greatness.

“Yessss please!!!” someone commented. “Cannot wait!👏”

"I just bought and tried👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 ," one commenter wrote. "10/10 perfect dip for veggies or even in a wrap! tzatziki consistency with the PERFECT caesar flavor.😩"

“Sheeeeesh,” another exclaimed. “It’s like they made this for me.”

“This with a fry and Diet Coke??” one more person said. “THE girl dinner. 👏🏻”

Trader Joe's

This “satisfyingly savory, captivatingly creamy, and remarkably rich” Trader Joe’s dip is the perfect pairing for chicken nuggets, lunch wraps, grinder sandwiches, crackers, and everything in between. Trader Joe's even noted that it's a "game-changer" for game days and cocktail parties. Time to dip in!

Aside from your personal girl dinner needs, the Caesar Salad Dip is the ideal creamy snack to share during the holiday season – include it in your next charcuterie spread!

The Trader Joe’s Caesar Salad Dip goes for just $3.69 at your local TJ's grocery store. You can find it amongst my other dippable faves like their Truffle Dip and Buffalo Chicken Dip! If you're a Caesar fanatic, you've absolutely got to give it a try before it sells out.

I knew beauty trends were officially headed in a different direction when latte makeup dominated social media last year. Everything about it gave the appearance of soft features, making this millennial appreciate the ‘no makeup’ look more and more. And while I'm working on staying up-to-date on all the latest makeup trends, it also reminded me there are outdated trends that unintentionally age people...and definitelyneedto go.

Wanna look younger and more on-trend, too? From super metallic eyeshadow to contour that dominates your face, here are the 8 outdate makeup trends to leave in the early ‘90s to mid-2000s.

The 8 outdated makeup trends you need to stop ASAP!

1. Full Coverage Foundation

KoolShooters

There was a time where wearing full-coverage foundation was all the rage. From drugstore to high-end brands, it seems like they were consistently shoved in consumers’ faces to help us achieve a ‘full beat’ without sitting in a makeup artist’s chair. Also, those of us with dark spots or hyperpigmentation may have relied on them when we were in the thick of our skincare woes.

But these days, wearing too much foundation isn’t as popular as natural and skincare makeup are prioritized. If anything, more people are interested in wearing light-to-medium coverage foundation, skin tints, or tinted moisturizers.

2. Too Much Concealer

George Milton

It wasn’t until I watched this video by makeup artist Katie Jane Hughes that I realized some of us have been too heavy-handed with our concealers. There’s no reason we should be slapping products under the thinnest parts of our face, but we didn’t know any better!

Now that you know you can still get the desired effect with a minimal amount of concealer, don’t revert back to painting your under eyes!

3. 'Baking' Your Setting Powder

Chidi Young

Before you throw away your setting powders, step away from your makeup drawer and have a sit-down chat with me. There isn’t anything wrong with applying them to your face to help ‘set’ your foundation and concealer. However, spending over 10 minutes ‘baking’ your powder (AKA letting it sit untouched) doesn’t work for everyone.

It can lead to creased makeup which can derail your look, plus it’s a pain to correct when you’re halfway through your routine!

4. Overlining Lips

Kaboompics.com

I love a good lip liner, especially if it mirrors my favorite ‘90s makeup look. But, there’s such a thing as overdoing it. The key to lining your lips is following the natural flow of them. Going out of your way to draw above and under your lips’ lines comes off as comical and exaggerated. If anything, use a lip plumping gloss to help your lips look fuller.

5. Overtweezing Your Eyebrows

Getty Images

I don’t even have the words for this outdated makeup look besides wanting to say “no” 20 times in a row. But, I’ll bite and say why this shouldn’t be on your 2025 beauty moodboard.

Some people naturally have thinner eyebrows which is A-okay! However, purposely tweezing your eyebrows to smithereens is cringey. If you truly want to wear this look, here’s what you can do instead of tweezing:

  • Create a faux bleached look by applying a skin tone colored setting powder all over your brows.
  • Once they’ve ‘disappeared,’ take an eyebrow pencil or eyeliner to draw a thin line over them.

I’m…wondering what the ramifications of telling you how to do this will be, but only use go for this look if it’s a part of a themed party…like Halloween.

6. Exaggerated Highlighter On Cheeks

Milad Farhani

The shimmery look is in since it’s winter, but please don’t make it look like you dipped your cheeks into a vat of glitter. You can lightly dust highlighter onto your cheeks for a more natural glow that flows with the rest of your look. Otherwise you’ll look like a walking disco ball which could be the opposite of what you were going for.

7. Heavy Contour Or Bronzer

Laura Garcia

I know the ‘sculpted’ look is popular, but too much contour or bronzer can overpower the rest of your makeup and face. While it’s not impossible to fix if you do it by mistake, using the wrong shade of contour or bronzer may still peep through no matter how much you try to buff it out.

When in doubt, be gentle with your contour or bronzer application!

8. Incredibly Matte Makeup

Nataliia Yatsiuk

Matte makeup that didn’t budge was the ‘It Girl’ look for oily and combination skin girls! We thought it was the answer to our skin’s incessant need to hydrate our faces instead of actually using skincare products that focused on combatting that issue (psst…Vitamin C serums help!).

But now’s the time to break up with this look for good for one reason: dewy skin looks healthier.

While we have you here, learn about the outdated shoe trends you shouldn't be wearing in 2025 either.

As much as I love the wholesome parts of the holidays (like decorating Christmas cookies and opening gifts in the morning), one of my absolute favorite parts about the end of the year is ringing in a new one. 2025 is on its way, baby, and if you’re anything like me, you’re already scheming up a New Year's party plan. The key to a good time is definitely having a great outfit – and these 12 Abercrombie & Fitch party dresses are actually perfect for the occasion. I’m talkin’ sequins, mesh, and even leopard print.

Get ready to stand out this season in these drop-dead gorgeous Abercrombie & Fitch party dresses!

Abercrombie & Fitch

High-Neck Satin Sculpt Midi Dress

While the front of this sleek midi is more modest, the back features an open design that lets you show some more skin. It's definitely on the elegant side, so I'd advise wearing it to a fancy cocktail hour or more low-key NYE party this year.

Abercrombie & Fitch

Polka dots always feel super energetic to me, so if you want to be the one to get the party started, this is the dress for you! Plus, it'll make for some super cute Instagram pics. The design includes some built-in shorts, so coverage won't be an issue throughout the night.

Abercrombie & Fitch
