Trader Joe’s Is Selling A Summer Fridays Lip Balm Dupe That Makes Lips Look “So Juicy”

Sold by the pint, Trader Joe’s Banana Pudding Flavored Ice Cream is reminiscent of, well, actual banana pudding. It’s flavored with banana purée and immaculately accented not only with swirls of salted caramel, but bits of the signature vanilla wafer cookies you find in the OG dessert.

Trader Joe’s fan @traderjoestalia shared the returning ice cream flavor with their Instagram followers, and a handful of shoppers sounded off with excitement:

“The banana pudding ice cream ALWAYS gives me life,” one person commented.

“I have been waiting all year,” another said.

Reddit also lit up after the Banana Pudding Flavored Ice Cream made its official comeback to Trader Joe’s. This thread asking for fans’ opinions on the new pint detailed the ice cream’s exact flavor and was fairly mixed in terms of reception.

Some people noted that the seasonal flavor “tastes like artificial bananas and nothing else” and has a “chemical aftertaste,” while others said it only has a “tiny bit of an artificial banana flavor, but nothing to be mad at.” Several users compared it to banana-flavored Laffy Taffy!

“Omg! I am so happy it is back! It is so delicious!!” one Redditor said. “I add fresh banana and strawberry slices. I can't wait to get some more!”

“I LOVE Banana anything and it's just so tasty. The one issue is that I eat it too fast,” another person said. “I just bought a container yesterday and it's already gone."

“Us southern folk down here recognize Blue Bell as the grand champion of banana pudding ice cream,” someone else commented. “However, I am willing to test this one....for science purposes & whatnot.”

In my humble (and very dessert-loving) opinion, Trader Joe’s Banana Pudding Flavored Ice Cream is a must-try if you love ice cream of any kind. It boasts the perfect lineup of flavors for summertime, so it’s bound to be refreshing.

One pint currently goes for $3.79 at TJ’s, but it’s only available for a limited time. I can’t wait to snag a few pints for myself to use for homemade ice cream sandwiches, affogatos (especially stoked on that one amid all the banana latte buzz), and simply shoveling spoonful after spoonful straight into my mouth!

Spicy Uncured Charcuterie Collection

A good charcuterie always starts with the meat, and Trader Joe's is stocked with plenty of options. This premium $9 spicy trio is insanely tasty, provides you with a nice variety, plus, they make really stunning meat roses.

Salame di Parma Mild Salami

I'll also always typically grab a second option for meat, and that second grab tends to be salami since it's super salty and easy to eat with crackers and bits of cheese in the same bite. This $6 pack is described as "well-balanced" and "mild" so everyone will enjoy snacking on the slices.

Double Cream Brie

Brie is where it's at, and it gets even better when you whip up a simple baked brie to pair with the rest of your charcuterie goodies. To make mine, I'll snag this $8.49 block, chop it up and put it in a ramekin, and bake it at a high temp until it's nice and bubbly. It makes the perfect snack to dip crackers in, plus you can easily elevate it with two of my favorite add-ins below...

Spicy Honey Sauce

Yup – hot honey supremacy! Drizzling a bit of this on top of my baked brie truly changes everything. Both the sweet and spicy components of this $5 bottle pair wonderfully with brie – you'll be addicted once you try it, I promise.

Fig Butter

This $3 fig butter also goes absolutely nuts when you use it as a baked brie topper. It's super simple and subtly sweet. If you love complex, elevated flavors, you've gotta try this pick. It also works well on toasts, sammies, and even burgers!

Fig & Olive Crisps

Out of the literal millions of crackers Trader Joe's has to offer, I think these $4 babies are the best money can buy. Each bite is infused with flax, sesame, and sunflower seeds for a yummy crunch, plus, they're made with figs and olives that provide a delectable salty-sweet balance. What I like most about 'em is they have great structural integrity, so they don't break when you use them for dipping or layering between meats and cheeses.

Prosciutto Wrapped Fresh Mozzarella Cheese

This $5 snack has the best of both worlds, so it could be a good grab if you want to set up a snack board quickly without spending over $15 on a full suite of meats and cheeses. They're definitely easy to inhale because they're flavorful as ever!

Garlic & Jalapeño Stuffed Olives

I could go on and on and on and on about these stuffed olives. They're insane. A jar doesn't ever last long in my fridge. Each plump bite is packed with slivers of garlic and jalapeño, though they're not overly spicy. The brine balances everything out wonderfully. I like to serve these in a tiny bowl on top of my charcuterie boards and eat 'em up!

Ciabatta Demi-Baguette

This bread is a must if you're looking to made a baked brie with your charcuterie board: slice it up, toast the pieces for a bit, and you have the perfect vessel for a spoonful of melty brie paired with either the hot honey or fig jam. I tend to buy this "demi" size because I often enjoy my charcuterie boards with one or two other people, but TJ's also sells full-size baguettes to feed bigger crowds!

Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups

These PB cups easily rank in my top 10 favorite Trader Joe's products of all time. Encased in decadent dark chocolate, these bites also hold plenty of creamy peanut butter for a timeless treat – especially one you'll want to unwrap after chowing down on charcuterie!

1. Pretty Little Liars

One of the most controversial aspects of Pretty Little Liars is the relationship between high schooler Aria Montgomery, played by Lucy Hale, and Ezra Fitz, depicted by Ian Harding.

The pair's romance is the heart of the show, but their relationship would raise a lot of eyebrows today, considering Ezra is Aria's teacher, and she's a minor. Pretty Little Liars also glosses over the power imbalance, ethical issues, and the fact that a teacher dating a student is illegal.

Nowadays, a teen show featuring such an inappropriate relationship wouldn't fly for anyone.

2. Saved by the Bell

While Saved by the Bell continues to be a beloved '90s sitcom, it still has plenty of cringeworthy moments. Arguably, the worst incident occurs in Season 1 Episode 2, when Lisa Turtle exceeds her father's credit card limit.

This pushes Zack Morris to come up with an idea to help Lisa pay off the debt: she could charge boys $1 to kiss her without consent. He even gave the scheme a name, "Losing their Lisa cards."

Somewhat similar to Pretty Little Liars, this plot line disregarded consent. We can probably all agree that joking about ignoring women's autonomy wasn't humorous then and still isn't funny now.

3. Smallville

Smallville, which is based on a young Clark Kent grappling with his newfound superpowers, had a lot of bizarre storylines. Nonetheless, Season 1 Episode 7 definitely took the cake.

It featured Jodi Melville, an overweight teen classmate of Clark's, who uses a kryptonite-infused detox juice in order to lose weight. Things take a turn when the juice boosts her metabolism so much that she craves human fat.

The episode took extremely sensitive issues, like body image and the pressures of losing weight, and transformed them into a horror trope instead of giving viewers a nuanced take on eating disorders. It sensationalized Jodi's struggles and added a level of cruelty to an already vulnerable topic for teenagers.

4. Beverly Hills, 90210

To be fair, Beverly Hills, 90210 was actually known for tackling taboo subject matters, such as racism, substance abuse, and domestic violence, which were typically overlooked by mainstream media.

Even so, one specific episode dealing with gun control is still highly controversial today and has even been ripped from streaming platforms. During Season 2, Episode 14, West Beverly High students open up a time capsule. Then, the character Scott Scanlon accidentally shoots himself with his father's gun in front of a friend.

In the wake of today's ongoing problems with gun access and school violence, the storyline is unsettling and lacks the depth to address such complex topics.

5. Gilmore Girls

Oh, where to begin with Gilmore Girls. Even though this show ended in 2007, it remains extremely popular among both old and new fans. Still, it's also packed with tons of representation and diversity issues.

First of all, the cast is predominantly white, and the sole Black character, Michel Gerard, is relegated to a one-dimensional role as a sarcastic and snobby concierge. Then, there's Lane's mother, Mrs. Kim, whose character is based on the stereotypes of Asian mothers being overly strict and traditional.

Throw in Emily Gilmore's blatant mistreatment of her household staff, and it's clear that genuine representations of race are lacking.

6. One Tree Hill

Moving on to One Tree Hill, this show has come under fire for its portrayal of women, who are often pitted against each other. The female characters are thrown into emotional turmoil, especially when it comes to romantic conflicts. And despite the potential for character growth, they get into catfights and more drama again.

Meanwhile, the men are able to move past issues with something as simple as a fist bump. The unequal approach to gender dynamics paints women as irrational and emotionally unstable, which just isn't valid.

7. Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl gave all of us everyday teens a glimpse into the (supposed) lives of Manhattan's wealthiest and most scandalous teenagers. Despite the premise being undeniably intriguing, the show featured a lot of debauchery that still shocks parents today.

One of the most problematic characters is probably Chuck Bass, who treats women like objects. Yet, his actions are written off or even accepted since he's rich. There's also the subplot of teenage Nate having an affair with an adult (and married) duchess. Just these two examples alone wouldn't work on screen in 2025, especially in a show targeted at adolescents.

8. Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County

Finally, Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County captured the glamorous lives of Southern California teenagers. In the process, it frequently depicted casual underage drinking, which doesn't send a good message to impressionable viewers.

Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County promoted the idea that alcohol has to be involved in order to have some real fun. With more awareness around the risks of underage drinking today, that much partying couldn't be so romanticized.
