Warm Up Your New Home With a Tropical Soirée

A new pad (even a new-ish pad) means one thing: it’s time to throw a party. What is better incentive to unpack those boxes and decorate those blank walls than the promise of getting your girls together in one place?! Your place. Today, we’re teaming up with Palm Breeze to bring you inspiration for throwing a sweet soirée with a tropical twist. Palm Breeze will bring the taste of the tropics to your friends even if there aren’t any palm trees or beaches in view of those just-draped windows. Available in Ruby Red Citrus and Pineapple Mandarin Orange, these refreshing adult beverages will give your BFFs another reason to cheers. Follow along to check out four DIYs to bring your party to life.

Final-Coasters-in-scene-with-fruit

Not familiar with the Palm Breeze flavors? Ruby Red Citrus has a fresh picked grapefruit aroma and a crisp, light and refreshing taste. The additional carbonation adds a bit of zip to the flavor and clean finish. Pineapple Mandarin Orange is a fragrant blend of pineapples and oranges. The pineapple is a hint more forward on the taste and has a completely clean and refreshing finish.

Get Cozy

The perfect addition to any canned drink, these cozies couldn’t be cuter… or cozier.

Materials + Tools:

– foam sheets

– scissors

– tropical stamp

– ink pad

– hot glue gun

This project will only take five minutes, but it packs a punch (and keeps your “punch” nice and cool).

First, measure your foam sheet against a can of Palm Breeze by wrapping it around and marking the foam where it meets on the other side. Cut it to size. Then cut an extra strip of foam the same height as the can. Add flair to your cozy by stamping tropical fruit on the foam. We used a pineapple, but a flamingo, watermelon or citrus ring would also be adorable. Pro tip: Don’t push the stamp down too hard. The foam is like a little cushion, so the ink will smear if you use all your muscles.

Once the stamp is dry, glue your extra strip of foam to one end. Then wrap the foam around and glue the other end to the extra foam. See? You’ve got a nice clean edge thanks to the secret piece of foam on the inside. Now reward your hard work with a can of Palm Breeze!

Spend Time on the Coast(er)

It’s always a great idea to set your beverages on coasters to keep your furniture looking good. That 100-year-old-tree coffee table will have that sweat ring forever ;) Fear not, friends, we’ve got a quick and easy coaster tutorial.

Materials + Tools:

– white tiles

– Sharpie

– paper

Sharpies are the best! These permanent pens work so well for revamping household goods.

For these coasters, all you need to do is draw on your tiles. We recommend trying out your designs on a piece of paper first. Since we love pattern, we decided to make simple designs on our coasters to add minimalist texture to our theme. We haven’t had issues with the Sharpie coming off of the tile, but if you find that your design isn’t staying for good, you can add a top coat of sealer.

We love the combination of the bright pink cozy and the black and white coaster.

If you know B+C, you know we are obsessed with photo booths. So it should be no surprise that we’ve got a photo backdrop on our list. To keep with our theme, we made a gorgeous palm leaf and flower wall hanging that will transport your guests to a tropical vacay.

Materials + Tools:

Say Leaves!

– crepe paper — pink, orange and yellow

– green wrapping paper

– green + yellow paint

– pipe cleaners

– string

– scissors

– paint brush

– hot glue gun

Check out the full tutorial here.

In short, paint and cut out palm leaves. Then create gorgeous tropical flowers out of crepe paper. String the leaves and pin them to the wall. Secure your flowers in between the leaves, and you’re ready for a photo shoot.

Hop in front of the jungle with your bestie, and “Say Leaves!”

We are all about the details, so we had to add some extra goodies to our glass of Palm Breeze. To deck out our drinks, we created some simple stir sticks.

Materials + Tools:

Sip and Dish

– stir sticks

– card stock

– hot glue gun

– circle hole punch

Start your timer — this project will take you less than five minutes!

Cut out a bunch of colorful circles with your hole punch. Take note: Each stir stick requires two circles, so cut out an even number. Add hot glue to one circle, place the stir stick on the glue, put the second circle on top and press firmly.

Pour yourself a glass of paradise.

Of course we also had to create a garnishing station. We included stir sticks, straws, lemon rinds and lemon wheels, which go perfectly with the refreshing flavors of Palm Breeze.

If this doesn’t warm your house up, nothing will!

Palm Breeze makes any day feel like a tropical getaway, turning a girl-time get-together into a “vacay every day.”

Spring 2025 beauty is all about bold yet wearable, polished yet playful looks. From the return of the lip liner to fresh, nature-inspired nail and eye colors, this season’s trends blend nostalgia with modern minimalism. Expect soft, dramatic eyes, skincare-infused makeup, and lip liner that enhances without overpowering. These trends are all about embracing your natural features in an elevated, beautiful way so you glow, and look your best, all season.

Here are spring 2025 beauty trends to try this season.

City Lips® Defining Liner

Liner Revival

The lip liner trend for spring 2025 embraces bold definition with a fresh, modern twist. This season, it's about pairing rosy nudes with soft, lighter lip colors and rich, warm tones with deep browns and cherry reds for a sculpted, high-impact look. City Lips Defining Liner is our favorite new lip liner. It prevents color fading, smudging, and feathering, so you can keep your look intact all day or night! It’s available in two pretty shades: Blush, a soft, rosy nude that pairs beautifully with pink hues and lighter lip colors, and Willow, a rich, warm-toned nude that complements brown tones and deeper shades.

City Beauty

Multitasking Makeup

The trend toward skincare-infused makeup is making your beauty routine work harder with nourishing ingredients. City Lips Defining Liner features vitamin E, helping to keep the lip line smooth while subtly enhancing its shape for a fuller, more defined look. For the ultimate plump and polish, pair the pigmented liner with City Lips Plumping Gloss — a duo that gives you a naturally voluminous pout, plus extra hydration.

Pastel Pop

From butter yellow to sage green, this season’s nail trends are embracing soft, yet statement-making hues that bring a fresh pop of color. Alongside these chic shades, almond-shaped nails are offering a sleek, elegant look that flatters your mani aesthetic.

'90s Nostalgia

A softer, smudged take on the classic cat-eye is making waves, with eyeliner staging a bold comeback in full, effortless sweeps. Blue eyeshadow is also back and better. Expect a nod to cool-toned, ’90s grunge eyes, a trend that lends itself to easy, minimalist lines, like a single, clean swipe of liner, proving that less can truly be more.

Claire Craig | Dupe

Lobs, Bobs & Natural Manes

Haircut season is in full swing, and lighter, fuss-free bobs at all above-shoulder lengths, plus natural curls, are making their way in and out of salons for spring. We couldn't be happier for the low-maintenance 'dos!

Satin Skin

This understated look highlights healthy, natural skin with a soft-matte finish — radiant, yet never flat or overly glossy.

City Beauty

Glossy lips, instead, shine this season. Upgrade your lip routine this spring with City Beauty’s new City Lips Defining Liner and lip glosses for a refreshed look.

In our Take 5 series, sponsored by Verizon, we ask women in business about unexpected challenges, their inspirations, recent wins, and how the free Verizon Small Business Digital Ready Program has helped propel their business forward.

In this segment, Paige Wiese, founder & CEO of Tree Ring Digital in Denver, CO, walks us through some of the ways she encourages clients to double down on marketing when business is slow. Paige built her business as a solopreneur graphic designer to a team of 15, helping clients with SEO, online ads, and social media management. Here’s her Take 5, plus more tips for surviving the business lulls below!

What's a recent small win for you and your business?

Paige: A recent small win has been just seeing business pick up again. I am seeing businesses start to engage with their marketing efforts and really trying to get to the root of why their website might be underperforming. We look at what they can be doing to see their money actually go to a place that it should be going.

What's a big piece of advice that you give to your clients?

Paige: A lot of them want to back off anytime there's a little bit of scarcity. I really think that's the time to double down, whether it be your digital presence, your website, or just adjusting how you're spending your money. But instead of just saying, ‘Hey, we're going to stop [investing in marketing],’ ask ‘How do we double down in the correct way and make sure we're seeing measurable results out of it?’ I do it myself anytime business is a little slow. I think we have to either change or we need to be doubling down. A lot of clients come to us when the pipeline is already dry and money is tight and they’re hoping for a quick fix. Marketing, unfortunately, isn't a quick fix.

See more tips for surviving business lulls below!

What's an unexpected business challenge you’ve faced and how did you overcome it?

Paige: I think one of the bigger challenges that we've run into has been more on the employee side, some of the retention or the hiccups that come along the way and then just learning from them. So how can we be a better, stronger company coming out of this and how do we use it as a growing opportunity?

How has the Verizon Small Business program helped propel your business forward?

Paige: I learned about the Verizon Small Business Digital Ready program through the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC). It's a free resource that’s self-paced and very digestible. The variety of topics it covers is a large gamut for any size business. The Selling with Storytelling course, especially, was really valuable to me, just really getting your messaging out there. I laugh that I sometimes enjoy the marketing ones a little bit more just because it is a refresher or another take on how we do this.

Thanks Paige!

Audiences loved the way Greta Gerwig's Little Women brought all four March sisters to life, and Netflix's Anne with an E became so popular that when the show was canceled after season 3, 1.7 million fans signed a petition to revive the series. It all just proves that classic adaptations can make the original story even more powerful.

And the newest movie based on a book is going to be one we think about forever — and not just because of its cast. Emerald Fennell (who you'll recognize from The Crown and her work as writer & director on Satburn) is adapting Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights and Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi are leading the cast!

The book, published in 1847, continues to grip readers, and it's become the blueprint for moody complexity — just like Emerald Fennell's Promising Young Woman, which won the Oscar for Best Screenplay thanks to its scathing look at sexual assault. Well, the Em's are coming together for this new adaptation.

Here's everything we know about Emerald Fennell's Wuthering Heights — and your first look at the movie.

The First Set Leaks From 'Wuthering Heights' Have Everyone In A Tizzy

"I am the biggest fan of Wuthering Heights that there is I just really hope I don’t get disappointed," one Instagram user commented.

Everyone lost their minds when leaks of Margot Robbie dressed in a white wedding gown made their way onto the internet. While some Margot fans say the look is "ethereal" and "majestic," others are criticizing the choice to use a white wedding dress since the trend wasn't started until Queen Victoria married in TK.

"begging people in historical movies and shows to realize white wedding dresses where made the norm in the VICTORIAN ERA," @neybitxh said on X. "wuthering heights is set in the Georgian Era no one was wearing white dresses for a wedding."

Here's Your First Look At 'Wuthering Heights'

The first look at Emerald Fennell's Wuthering Heights is getting some seriously mixed reactions. The photo features a close-up image of someone (maybe Margot Robbie's) with their fingers and a few blades of grass in their mouth.

"CAN NOT WAIT," one Instagram user said, along with a couple fire emojis. But the intimate (and somewhat shocking) image also has some users asking, "what in the saltburn?"

Who's in the new Wuthering Heights movie?

Frazer Harrison/Monica Schipper/Getty Images

The Wuthering Heights cast will be led by Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie as Heathcliff and Catherine Earnshaw, respectively. Here's the cast list:

  • Margot Robbie as Catherine Earnshaw: a young girl torn between her feelings for Heathcliff.
  • Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff: a boy fostered by the Earnshaws who's forced to be a servant.
  • Hong Chau as Nelly Dean: a servant in the Earnshaw household.
  • Alison Oliver as Isabella Linton: One of the Earnshaw's neighbor, whom Heathcliff and Catherine spy on.
  • Shazad Latif as Edgar Linton: Isabella's brother.

In addition to starring, Margot will also produce with her production company LuckyChap, which worked behind the scenes on Emerald Fennell's Saltburn and Promising Young Woman.

While some fans were initially excited about the casting, others were concerned about the fact that in the book, Heathcliff is described as "dark skinned." He also tells Nelly that, "I wish I had light hair and a fair skin, and was dressed, and behaved as well, and had a chance of being as rich as he will be!" Um, it looks like Jacob Elordi definitely has fair skin to me.

"Heathcliff is described as a dark-skinned brown man in the book and a major plot point is that he was subjected to racist abuse by his adopted family. But yeah sure Jacob Elordi is perfect," one tweet (which has over 8 million views) says, while another says, "Film studios will say 'We are committed to diverse casting' and then cast Jacob Elordi to play Heathcliff, one of the more famous people of color in literature, whose race is crucial to both his character and the story."

And when the casting for Edgar and Isabella Linton was announced, one X user said, "Now I’m even more pissed off. They look way more like Heathcliff and Cathy cmon now!!!"

Is Wuthering Heights going to be in theaters?

Focus Features

It appears director Emerald Fennell and producer Margot Robbie are pushing for a theatrical release, which is why they've reportedly turned down a Netflix offer of $150 million.

Despite the fact Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos said theatrical releases are "just not our business," and the company has stuck to at-home streaming instead, they did break that pattern for Knives Out: Glass Onion in 2022. The movie appeared in around 600 theaters the day before Thanksgiving, but left a week later ahead of its December 23 debut on the streamer.

Co-CEO Reed Hastings told The Hollywood Reporter that keeping the movie in theaters could have made Netflix more money, but later said they just wanted to "break through the noise" and get movie lovers excited for the film to come to Netflix.

All that to be said, Margot Robbie (whose Barbie made over $1 billion worldwide) and Emerald Fennell (whose Promising Young Woman nabbed her an Oscar win and two other nominations) know how to capture the imaginations of movie lovers everywhere. And it could definitely be in their favor to stick to a theatrical release. Stay tuned for official news on where you can watch Wuthering Heights!

When is Wuthering Heights coming out?

Warner Bros. Pictures

Wuthering Heights will premiere on February 14, 2026. Happy Valentine's Day!

What is Wuthering Heights about?

Amazon

Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights follows the Earnshaws and the Lintons, who are living in the Yorkshire Moors in the 1880s. Their lives change forever when the Earnshaws take in Heathcliff. Like any good dramatic novel, passion lies beneath proper connections, marriages, and societal expectations — and despite Catherine and Heathcliffe's feelings for each other, they have to choose between security and love.

Where is Wuthering Heights filming?

Wuthering Heights is filming right now in the UK. According to Tatler, filming is happening at Sky Studios Elstree in Hertfordshire, and we might see some scenes on location in Yorkshire too.
