Forget Kim. 18 Underrated Women You Should Be Following on Instagram

We’re well aware who the most followed stars are on Instagram. Hi, Kim, Beyoncé, Taylor, etc.

Check out 18 badass ladies, some that are making comebacks, some that are making a name for themselves and all worthy of your attention below.

1. Tori Kelly: After slaying in a lacey-shorts combo on the VMAs red carpet and bringing the house down with a powerhouse performance at the awards show, the singer probably popped up on a lot of people’s radars for the very first time Sunday night. Get to know the curly-haired songstress even better, and run, don’t walk, to stream her debut album Unbreakable Smileright this second. Then once you’ve given the 14-track album multiple spins, keep up with the talented lady by following her steady rise to superstardom on Instagram. It’ll be fun to boast about how you knew her back in the day before she made it to Taylor’s level ;) (Photo via @torikelly)

2. Jackie Cruz: You probably know this Latina solely for her role as Flaca on OITNB, but the actress is way more than just an interesting Litchfield character. She recently led a TEDx Talk discussing overcoming adversity, where she also shared another one of her many talents — she can sing. Once you’re done watching her inspiring speech, pass the time until season 4 (fingers crossed Flaca gets a musical moment) by double tapping all the snaps she shares on the ‘gram. 3. Carly Rae Jepsen: You guys, trust me when I say the Canadian singer is SO much more than “Call Me Maybe.” Not only does this mega underrated gal have a fall haircut everyone should be getting, but she also has a brilliantly crafted sophomore album full of ’80s-influenced pop jams (slow + upbeat) perfect for getting down to anytime of the day. Give E•MO•TION a spin or two while you think about your bad decisions in life (aka thinking she was a one-hit wonder) as you scan her Instagram revealing new details about the talented gal — ex. she played Cinderella on Broadway. 4. Normani Kordei: One fifth of Fifth Harmony, this gorgeous gal is making a name for herself outside of the girl group. One of those ways is her ever-changing + trendsetting hairstyles, like gray highlights. Need another reason to become obsessed with her? She’s got plenty. Aside from her obvious vocal talents, after hitting the follow button you’ll discover Normani is a talented dancer (with a side dancing project) as well as a super fierce model, among many many other things. 5. Gina Rodriguez: The star of Jane the Virgin should be a household name by now (seriously, why isn’t she?!). After one of the most eloquent speeches in Golden Globes history and a full season of dramatic and comedic performances on The CW show, this lady should be on the cover of every mag and starring in all the commercials and films. Since she isn’t (yet), make her a well-known name in your circle of friends at least by getting a peek inside her world and sharing the light that is Gina with all your friends + fam. Making a big return splash into the public eye this fall on Dancing With the Stars, popping up in magazines and following in her animal-loving parents footsteps by giving a voice to wild animals, this Aussie young lady is very busy. By the looks of her wildlife snaps, eco-friendly moments and glam OOTDs, Bindi’s future is promising. She’s sure to make her parents proud. (Photo via @bindisueirwin)

10. Leona Lewis: After taking the world by storm more than a handful of years ago with her debut mega hit single “Bleeding Love,” this singer has stalled a bit. Now the Brit is back once more with a fresh sound, a new record label and a just-as-gorgeous-as-ever face. (Photo via @sofiarichie)

12. Amandla Stenberg: The Hunger Games actress has become an exciting young voice in Hollywood. In between staying busy with film roles and looking fab on Instagram, the teenager has addressed cultural appropriation on multiple occasions, bringing a wider perspective to the issue from an unlikely yet fresh voice. Talented, gorgeous and smart? This gal has got it all. (Photo via @amandlastenberg)

13. Kaia Gerber: We’ve already shared our newfound love of Cindy Crawford’s destined-for-supermodel-status daughter. Peep into the life of the next generation of modeling (think Gigi/Kendall/Karlie/Cara’s mini me) as she preps to take over runways and magazine spreads and grows her own squad in the process through the social media platform. (Photo via @kaiagerber)

14. Gabourey Sidibe: Famous for her intense portrayal as Precious in the film with the same name, this Oscar-nominated actress has stayed very busy since that film debut. The talented lady (who’s also a riot on Twitter, FYI) has consistently remained in our presence by switching between drama and comedy roles, and can currently be seen on both FOX’s Empire and HULU’s Difficult People. And now your Instagram feed. (Photo via @gabby3shabby)

15. Betty Who: You may remember this singer’s breakout jam “Somebody Loves You” from that Home Depot marriage proposal. If that’s all you know about her, you are truly missing out. Since that video went viral, the Aussie native has been busy traveling the world promoting her ear worm of a debut album while making the bleach blonde short ‘do look fab along the way. Hitch a ride and join her journey and you’ll never be asking “Betty, who?” again. (Photo via @iambettywho)

16. Serayah: This fly girl is way more than just a T.Swift squad member. The actress can be found on FOX’s Empire while also slaying red carpets and photo shoots nonstop in between prepping an album release of her very own. Join in on all of her BTS action (you know you wanna feel like one of the squad) by following her fab uploads online. (Photo via @serayah)

17. Rowan Blanchard: She is the girl on Girl Meets World. Aside from being one of the stars of the Disney Channel series, the 13-year-old actress is impressing the world in many other ways. She recently made the news rounds by sharing an essay pertaining to white feminism that was more eloquent than her age would suggest while also giving us fashion inspo for days, which is all bundled up beautifully within her Instagram account. Seriously, we wish we knew how to rock outfits and speak as well as she does when we were teens. Regardless, we’ll take all the help we can get from her now, stylistically and socially speaking. (Photo via @rowanblanchard)

18. Yara Shahidi: The young Black-ish actress has people talking for numerous reasons. She’s suuuuuuuper funny on the ABC sitcom and is turning into a budding fashionista, providing hair, makeup and style inspo for days. Okay, we already know that Nobody Wants This season 2 is on its way, and that it's going to feature a new love interest for Morgan (bye bye Sasha!), and on March 7, Netflix gave us a brand new piece of info: the series is now filming! And Kirsten Bell and Adam Brody are getting cozy — not that I'm surprised.

Here's what we know about Nobody Wants This season 2 filming.

Kirsten Bell and Adam Brody are back as Joanne and Noah!

Netflix

Nobody Wants This is in production as of March 7, 2025 — and new episodes are set to premiere on Netflix this year! Two seasons in two years? We are so back.

In the first production image from season 2, Joanne and Noah are lying on the couch with Noah's arm wrapped around Joanne. Joanne's wearing a navy and red jacket while Noah's opted for a dark gray hoodie. Cozy!

Nobody Wants This season 2 was renewed in October of 2024. Creating Nobody Wants This will forever be a career highlight for me," creator and executive producer Erin Foster said in a statement. "The incredible cast, crew, producers and executives all made this into the show it is today, and to experience viewers' reactions to this series now that it's out in the world has been more than anything I could have dreamed."

Executive producer and showrunner Bruce Eric Kaplan added that the rom-com TV show "is such a unique and beautiful show and I am already having the best time working on it.”

We've had a blast watching it — and I know viewers are going to enjoy all the new episodes.

Where is Nobody Wants This season 2 filming?

Adam Rose/Netflix

Season 2 is in production in Los Angeles, California, where they filmed season 1.

The new BTS photos of Nobody Wants This season 2 possible revealed a huge idea about when we'll see Joanne and Noah on our screens again. The second picture of Adam Brody looks alarming, but the third still shows a little bit of blood by his mouth. In our opinion, it looks like he's wearing a costume while filming because the sixth photo shows Justine Lupe wearing something that feels very Julia Roberts-esque via Pretty Woman.

The second comment on Deux Moi's Instagram post says, "oh so this is 100% coming out in the fall" while follow-up statements like "So, will it be a Halloween release or a Purim release? October or March?! We need to know now" and "Ty for the spoiler alert! 🚨 so appreciative ❤️❤️" seem to agree on a potential fall release date.

Crossing our fingers Nobody Wants This will be back between September and November!

You weren’t the only one tearing up during90-minute finale of The White Lotus. Season 3 of Mike White’s series has officially concluded, with viewers left shocked, heartbroken, and all-around emotional. And it turns out, the cast felt the same (warning:lots of spoilers ahead).

In preparation for the series' end, Max took over the Four Seasons Hotel in Westlake Village, California, to create a Thailand-inspired White Lotus wellness oasis. The retreat included cooking and mixology classes with Ketel One Vodka and Tanqueray Gin, meditation sessions, and a moving panel discussion (hosted by Queer Eye’s Tan France) with the ensemble after they, too, watched the finale for the first time.

During the cast’s Q&A, we got the tea on how Aimee Lou Wood truly felt about her character’s death, plus Patrick Schwarzenegger’s initial reaction to the explosive ending.

Scroll to see The White Lotuscast's reaction to that heartbreaking season 3 finale...

HBO

The White Lotus Cast's Reactions to Chelsea and Rick’s Death

As audience members know, Chelsea and Rick were the characters that met a gruesome end.

Wood said of her character’s death, “For about two weeks before we shot it, I felt super weird. It was this odd, ominous thing that was just hanging over us.” Her character is a casualty of an intense gunfight ignited by her boyfriend Rick (played by Walton Goggins), who attempted to save her by carrying her to safety. “And then it was the hottest day ever. Walton had to carry me so many times, and it was so hard.

In that time, Gaitok (Tayme Thapthimthong) achieves his vindication by shooting Rick in the back. “Chelsea doesn’t know what’s going to happen to her,” Wood said, adding that the scene “looked exactly how it felt, which was really strange.” There’s a final, dark shot of Chelsea dead, faced down in the pond and Rick faced up, mimicking a Yin and Yang symbol.

HBO

Meanwhile, Thapthimthong felt like his character’s actions were “justified.”

Thapthimthong said, “At first, I felt like, ‘I don’t want to shoot him in the back.’ I wish he would turn around and have a little gunfight with me so we can have a little action scene. But we had a discussion with Mike, and I remember he said, ‘Trust me,’ it will be justified. I feel like it really was.” Gaitok then goes on to receive the promotion he’s always wanted, so you can say things worked out for him.

HBO

Patrick Schwarzenegger, who arguably conveyed the biggest character arc in Saxon Ratliff, built a spiritual connection with Chelsea that translated IRL.

Schwarzenegger told France, “I knew something happened to Chelsea, but I didn’t know the extent of everything. It’s this really surreal weird feeling right now of just spending so much time with all of these cast members and then watching someone die. I don’t know how to describe it. You feel like something really happened.” We did too, Patrick, we did too.

As Aimee Lou Wood said on the panel, “There’s a lot in that episode that made me f---ing sob.” And we couldn’t think of a more perfect way to describe the series ending.

Other Can’t Miss Cast Quotes From The 'The White Lotus' Finale Panel:

HBO

Patrick Schwarzenegger (Saxon Ratliff)

“I think once it happened with Chelsea, I started crying in the theater. I looked over at Charlotte [Le Bon] — it was an emotional moment.”

HBO

Sarah Catherine Cook (Piper Ratliff)

“I was like, ‘Wow everyone in this episode really came to some enlightenment, and she’s trying to get enlightened the whole time.’ Then she’s like, ‘No, I guess I’m spoiled.’ I love that.”

HBO

Sam Nivola (Lochlan Ratliff)

“I've never died in anything before. It was fun to get to do that.”

HBO

Leslie Bibb (Kate Bohr)

“I remember when we were filming because the girls were the first ones to shoot our villa, and we all read the scripts and we were like, ‘Oh, our storyline is boring’....I don't think, honestly, we thought that it was going to take off the way it is.”

HBO

Nicholas Duvernay (Zion Lindsey)

“Finally getting even just a little bit of justice for Tanya was amazing. Amazing to finally, over three seasons, give her that closure, essentially."

HBO

Jon Gries (Greg Hunt)

“I think Season 2 surprised me more somehow. But I guess the enormity of the wealth surprised me.”

HBO

Jason Isaacs (Timothy Ratliff)

“I look at my kids I love in real life, these three, and I love them on screen as well. I think there’s more to them. I doubted them, and they will be fine. They just won’t be fine in gigantic houses with huge Tesla trucks.”
