This Wedding Planner’s Picture-Perfect Park Proposal Will Give You *All* the Feels

Every wedding planner will tell you that it all comes down to the nitty gritty details. That’s why wedding planner Claudette was blown away when her boyfriend Jonathan proposed to her in the most thought-out way. You can imagine the pressure of proposing to a wedding PLANNER (and couldn’t blame him if he had hoped for a leap year proposal). So when Jonathan took meticulous care into crafting the perfect proposal — from recruiting her work friends to arranging a beautiful fairytale ensemble in the park — his now fiancée couldn’t help but be impressed. After buying their first home together, Claudette knew that it was only a matter of time before Jonathan would pop the question, but nothing could prepare her for what he had planned. Keep reading to find out how Jonathan pulled off this Insta-worthy engagement.

The sweet proposal story started at Claudette’s work, when her manager asked her to come upstairs. When she walked up the stairs, she saw her photographer friend Christy and videographer friend Ixchel with their cameras at the ready. They handed her an envelope with a note that read, “Claudette, go put your pretty pink skirt on and meet me in the park…” That’s when she was handed a bag that Jonathan had packed, which included her favorite tulle skirt, seven pairs of shoes, a variety of tops and her makeup bag — now that’s a thoughtful boyfriend. After changing, Claudette was whisked away to Fish Creek Park, where an even better surprise was waiting for her.

When she reached the park, Christy was already there with her trusty camera. After making her way down the path, Claudette was greeted by a very sharply dressed Jonathan and a scene taken straight out of a fairytale. The setting — complete with huge balloons with tassels, two vintage chairs and the biggest floral arrangement ever — was picture-perfect. As Jonathan got down on one knee, Claudette “couldn’t stop smiling and shaking and crying,” and couldn’t even say yes. Instead, “it was more a series of squeals!”

As beautiful as the park setup was, the real beauty was in the details. Each and every vendor Jonathan chose knew Claudette personally, so they used her favorite flowers and details. The floral pattern in the envelope was chosen specifically because Claudette’s friend Ali from Modern Pulp remembered it from a few years ago. The pink chair was included because Claudette mentioned to Jonathan how much she loved it when it was used at a wedding the month before. And even though The Mrs. Box had just been launched when she had showed Jonathan, he contacted Grey Likes Weddings, who graciously sent him a sample box before the release. Lastly, in anticipation of their celebratory dinner, he even made three dinner reservations for her to choose from. If there’s an award for most thoughtful/considerate S.O., we’re pretty sure Jonathan DOMINATES that one.

Being a wedding planner, Claudette felt she was more appreciative of all the time and effort Jonathan had put into surprising her the way he did. Like preparations put into a wedding, it was all “for that one day, but the memories stay with you forever.”

Their big day is set for September 2016, which they’ll be celebrating with family and friends in the UK. Congrats to Claudette and Jonathan!

Let's be real — wedding dress shopping is always stressful. Even if you know exactly what you want, there is so much pressure surrounding finding THE dress that the stress can often take away from the excitement of the day itself. Every bride deserves an incredible dress shopping experience, and if you're the Maid of Honor, bridesmaid or emotional support friend there are so many ways to make your bride-to-be feel special on this day. With a little extra planning, you can make her day full of magic and share a great memory for years to come. Give your bride her Say Yes to the Dress moment with these six ideas.

1. Invite a special guest.

Is the bride close to a sister who lives a few hours away? Does she rarely get the chance to have quality time with her mom? Do you share a mutual friend who youknow the bride would love to share the day with, but who doesn’t get a lot of time away from the office? Reach out as soon as you have the bridal appointments booked to see if you might be able to work your magic and bring a special loved one to the occasion as a surprise.

2. Surprise her with a new outfit.

Sneak a peek at your bestie’s closet and take note of her up-to-date sizes, then buy her the perfect outfit for dress shopping — preferably something she would never splurge on herself! A new jumpsuit, cool top, or an awesome pair of heels will give her an extra boost of confidence when she walks into the bridal salon in search of the dream gown.

3. Treat her to a morning of glam.

Hook your bride up with a blowout appointment or session with a makeup artist before the shopping expedition begins. She’ll feel extra-special, and a glam sesh will give her a great preview of what the wedding day will be like.

4. Plan the perfect meal.

Don’t wait until the day-of to stumble on the ideal lunch spot for the group or rely on luck to get a table at your favorite place. Now is not the time to play it by ear. Make a reservation somewhere along your shopping route so you won’t have to wait in line or ask the bride to make a decision on the spot about where the group should eat.

5. Put your phone away.

Chances are that your bride is a little nervous about the possibility of a photo of her in a dress she’s not loving — or, worse yet, the dress she’ll eventually settle on for the big day — circulating via text or on social media. Eliminate this anxiety by keeping your phone in your pocket. You can always grab it again if she asks you to snap a pic. Stashing your screen will also help ensure that your attention remains 100 percent on the bride herself.

6. Let the good times roll.

Who says the fun has to stop just because your pal has said yes to the dress? Last time we checked, the answer is no one. Keep the fun going with a special dinner, a Champagne toast or a cozy night of watching wedding-themed movies (we love Bride Wars) together at home!

I truly feel like I’ve been living under a rock when it comes to what’s good at Whole Foods. Turns out, they’ve been hiding some really impressive deals on groceries in the shadows, but I’m here to shed some light on ‘em. Whole Foods offers savings every week, and I’m fully convinced that my local Whole Foods will be seeing a whole lot more of me from now on.

Scroll on for details on Whole Foods’ top deals to shop starting today!

Kaboompics / PEXELS

1. BOGO 50% off packaged soups (Tuesdays)

Tuesdays and Fridays are the main days of the week that Whole Foods offers savings on their groceries. The first amazing deal for Tuesdays is BOGO 50% off packaged soups – perfect for this time of year!

They’ve got every kind of flavor from minestrone and chicken noodle to Italian wedding and broccoli cheddar. Their packaged soups average out at about $9 per 24-ounce tub, so saving 50% on one when you buy one is pretty good, especially for meal prep purposes.

2. $2 off classic and organic rotisserie chickens (Tuesdays)

You can take $2 off two kinds of Whole Foods’ rotisserie chickens every Tuesday. Their classic rotisserie chicken goes for $9 while the organic version sells for $13. I love using rotisserie chicken for soups, sandwiches, wraps, and pastas, so getting a whole chicken to use for recipes all week long for just $7 is so nice!

3. $8 large cheese pizzas (Friday)

Sometimes you just do not feel like cooking on a Friday evening after work – that’s where this Whole Foods savings hack comes in! Every Friday, you can get a large cheese pizza for $8. While there’s nothing wrong with a plain cheese pizza (nostalgia galore!), I’d take advantage of this deal then bulk up my slices with various toppings like peppers, pepperoni, and olives.

4. 12 for $12 wild caught oysters (Friday)

Ooh, fancy! Every Friday, Whole Foods’ wild caught oysters go for $1 a pop. Buy a dozen for just $12, and you’re golden. This deal would be perfect for a bougie at-home date night.

As much as I love celebrity couples, I love celebrity sibling relationships even more. And Elle and Dakota Fanning are two sisters I've grown up watching since I first saw Dreamer in 2005. Considering Elle Fanning is only five months older than me, and I have a sister of my own, this is one relationship that feels particularly familiar. And while Elle has also watched Dakota Fanning act since we were kids, Dakota just revealed seeing Elle onscreen is just as special for her.

Here's why Dakota & Elle Fanning get emotional seeing each other onscreen.

Elle remembers "sobbing" during one particularly emotional Dakota Fanning movie.

“When Elle’s in anything, it makes me feel it deeper,” Dakota Fanning said at TheWrap’s Power Women Summit on December 3. “She never can fully disappear into a character totally for me as her sister. She obviously does an amazing job, but I’m always gonna see my little sister a little bit.”

And Elle is just as touched by Dakota's roles, and remembers "uncontrollably sobbing" after seeing Now Is Good, a movie where Dakota's character was dying of cancer. “Because it was my sister, I had a real traumatic reaction after that premiere and the screening,” Elle says. “Obviously the acting, but it was something felt on a deeper level.”

“I’m doing this job, I’m an actor because my sister started before me and I watched her,” Elle continues. “I wanted to do exactly what my big sister wanted to do.”

And their movies have also made an impact on everyone who watches them.

When Brit + Co caught up with Dakota Fanning at the world premiere of The Watchers, I had to ask about one of her most iconic movies: Uptown Girls. "I love it," she says of TikTok memes and edits giving the movie new life. "It's nostalgic for people who are kind of around my age, who grew up watching that movie, I think it's like a comfort movie for people. And so I love that people are still revisiting it and loving it. And maybe now that everyone's older [they're] understanding different things about it."

Dakota starred opposite Brittany Murphy, who also had roles in movies like Clueless, 8 Mile, and Girl, Interrupted. Brittany passed away in 2009 when Dakota was 15. "I loved Brittany so much and I still miss her," she says. "So anytime that she has, you know, a moment where people think about her is also nice."

You can see Elle Fanning in A Complete Unknown, in theaters December 25, and you can also stream Dakota Fanning's new show The Perfect Couple on Netflix now.
