Here's Your First Look At Jenna Ortega's Return As Wednesday Addams

wednesday season 2

We might have been in our Barbie era last year, but we're already looking forward to season 2 of Wednesday in all its lacy, gothic glory. The first season offered the perfect balance of spooky horror, friendships, and romance, and it looks like the next installment will give us even MORE classic Tim Burton details we love. Keep reading to see what lead actress Jenna Ortega has to say about Wednesday season 2!

Your First Look At 'Wednesday' Season 2!

For Netflix's Geeked Week, the streamer gave us a behind the scenes first look at Wednesday season 2, which actress Catherine Zeta Jones promises will be "bigger and more twisted" than we could hope for. And Tim Burton's aesthetic is exactly the kind of gothic moodiness we were hoping to see!

We see brief glimpses of Wednesday and Enid at Nevermore, and a shot of Wednesday giving a passionate speech onstage. Maybe she's rallying the student body to fight another evil? Or providing a distraction for Enid to do some snooping? We'll have to wait until 2025 to find out.

Who's in the Wednesday season 2 cast?

Helen Sloan/Netflix

Wednesday Season 2 Cast

This photo from set confirms the Wednesday season 2 cast list! We now know for sure that we'll see Georgie Farmer, Victor Dorobantu, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nayo, Joy Sunday, Owen Painter, Emma Myers, Billie Piper, Jenna Ortega, Evie Templeton, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Alfred Gough, Noah Taylor, Miles Millar, Tim Burton, Steve Buscemi, Moosa Mostafa, and Hunter Doohan in season 2 of Wednesday. Deadline confirmed that season 1 regulars Percy Hynes White, Jamie McShane, and Naomi J Ogawa will not be returning.

We know that Jenna Ortega will return as Wednesday, but during her Actors on Actors chat with Elle Fanning, Fanning REALLY wants to know if Weems (the principal of Wednesday's Nevermore Academy, played by Game of Thrones' Gwendoline Christie) will return, Ortega doesn't hesitate to voice how much she loved working with the actress: "I would die to work with Gwendolyn Christie for the rest of my life."

"Wednesday's relationship with Weems is one of my favorite because they're very, very different women and they're constantly against each other but simultaneously they both want to watch each other's successes," she continues. "And Gwendolyn being as talented as she is, she's just really, really a pleasure to work with, so I'm doing everything in my power to throw out the most insane plots that would possibly bring this woman back from the dead." Never say never!

What is Wednesday season 2 about?

Wednesday Season 2 Plot

"We've had a lot of conversations and I think we've decided things that we definitely want to enhance or dive a little bit deeper in," Ortega says during her Actors on Actors interview with Elle Fanning.

In addition to leading the cast, Ortega is serving as producer this time around. She's mentioned how collaborative and welcoming series director Tim Burton has been throughout the whole process, and how excited she is to voice her own ideas. "I think we want to lean into the horror aspect of the show a little bit more because it is so lighthearted," she continues. "A show like this, you know, with vampires and werewolves and superpowers, [you don't] want to take yourself too seriously. So I think that we're ditching any romantic love interest for Wednesday which is really great, and then also we have such incredible female leads in the show."

On January 15, Jenna Ortega revealed she's got her hands on the first few scripts for Wednesday season 2. “We’re definitely leaning into a little bit more horror,” Ortega tells E! News. "There’s really, really good one-liners and I think everything’s bigger. It’s a lot more action-packed. Each episode will probably feel a little bit more like a movie, which is nice.”

When is the season 2 Wednesday release date?

Wednesday Season 2 Release Date

Wednesday season 2 will stream on Netflix in 2025. You can stream Wednesday season 1 on Netflix now!

Is season 2 Wednesday going to be scary?

Netflix

"We’re definitely expanding on the supernatural world," Jenna Ortega tells Vanity Fair. "Our show had all sorts of werewolves and vampires and da-ta-da. And I think we expand on that a little bit."

"In the first season we had episodes that really stood out visually, like the dance episode was a really big one for people, and that setting was very particular and it felt like Prom Night, a little bit, or Carrie," she continues. "Every episode [of season two] that I’ve read so far is like that. It just stands out on its own as a very memorable scene or bit or setting, which I think is what I’m most excited for."

Where is Wednesday season 2 filmed?

Vlad Cioplea/Netflix

Via Deadline, season 2 of Wednesday moved from Romania (where they shot season 1) to Ireland, and became the country's "largest production."The show officially started production in early May, according to Variety.

How old is Wednesday Addams?

Netflix

Wednesday Addams is 15 years old at the beginning of the Netflix series. This version of the character is older than other versions, and in the past, we've seen her at six years old and 13.

Outer Banks fans got a treat during 2023's Poguelandia event (which took place on February 18 in Huntington Beach, California). While celebrating the release of Outer Banks season 3, the cast took to the stage to announce that we were also getting Outer Banks season 4! As a native Outer Banks-er myself, this is one teen drama I will never be able to get enough of — so keep the seasons coming Netflix!

I'm already thinking about what hijinks the Pogues will get up to in Outer Banks season 4. Here's everything we know about the new TV show, including the cast, the plot, and the Outer Banks season 4 release date! Once you've scrolled through, catch up on The Craziest Outer Banks Theories.

Is there an Outer Banks season 4 trailer?

Netflix

Yes, you can watch the Outer Banks season 4 trailer here! The trailer really proves the show is returning to its roots by bringing the Pogues back to the OBX.

I have all my fingers and toes crossed we finally get some answers to one question I've had since season 1. I'm convinced that during Kiara's Kook year, when she briefly ditched the boys to become friends with Sarah, that Rafe fell for her, and hasn't left her alone since. This is such a small detail but it would provide so much context for the characters! Either way, it looks like Rafe, JJ, and John B will be fighting this season (again).

When is Outer Banks season 4 coming out?

Netflix

Summer vacation is lasting all year long! Outer Banks season 4 will be premiering in two parts: we'll get the first five episodes on October 10, and the second five on November 7.

After Madison Bailey revealed in an Instagramstory that Outer Banks 4 finished filming in June, she confirmed we'd be getting Outer Banks season 4 this fall on August 15 with a hilarious video hyping up John B and Sarah's fictional surf shop (which we'll see in the upcoming season).

What is season 4 of Outer Banks about?

Netflix

Outer Banks season 3 ended with an 18-month time jump — meaning the characters will be a year and a half older at the end of Outer Banks season 4 than in previous installments of the show. This definitely works in the series' favor because the characters will be closer to the cast's ages. Plus, being post-grad gives them more flexibility to go treasure hunting without the repercussions of skipping school...like they did the entirety of season 2.

Thanks to some important details at the end of the season finale, we know Kie is working with turtles, JJ bought a charter boat, Pope is going to college, and John B. and Sarah are running a surf shop. But things take a turn for the adventurous when the Pogues are given a new quest to hunt for Blackbeard's treasure. The real Blackbeard loved hiding his treasure on places like Ocracoke Island, which is on the real OBX. I'm super excited for this plotline because it means we'll be back on the Outer Banks for (hopefully) the whole season!

Netflix

"It’s not going to be the usual Blackbeard story," according to co-creator Josh Pate, and (spoiler!!) we actually have our first plot details. According to Wrightsville Beach recreation program supervisor Katie Ryan (via Wilmington StarNews) and the shows filming permits, we know that one scene will involve "two people jumping from the pier," while a second "involves individuals finding a body on the beach."

While Outer Banks season 4 promises to be as adventurous as ever, Chase Stokes promises People the show will also go back to its roots. “There was a real want for a lot of the authenticity and the characters in season 1. So I will say that they do a good job this season of that,” he says.

Netflix

After the death of Sarah and John B.'s fathers, the show's golden couple will have to figure out what their future looks like. “It really will force them to evaluate everything," he says. "Where they are, what their purpose is, what their intentions are, and what was the actual value of it? Was it worth it, in hindsight? If they could go back and change things, would they?"

"[The Pogues have had] a huge, huge shift in lifestyle in a very, very short period of time," Chase continues. “And I think when you go through that level of trauma, for sure, it'll make you start asking those deeper questions.”

Who's in the Outer Banks season 4 cast?

Netflix

We're expecting the main cast to return for Outer Banks season 4, including Chase Stokes as John B., Madelyn Cline as Sarah, Madison Bailey as Kiara, Jonathan Daviss as Pope, Rudy Pankow as JJ, Carlacia Grant as Cleo, Drew Starkey as Rafe, and Austin North as Topper.

Fiona Palomo will star as Sofia alongside J. Anthony Crane as Chandler Groff, Pollyanna McIntosh as Dalia, Brianna Brown as Hollis Robinson, Rigo Sanchez as Lightner, Mia Challis as Ruthie, and Cullen Moss as Shoupe.

Since Charles Esten's Ward ends up (spoiler!) dying at the end of season 3, he probably won't make a return — unless the show ventures into ghost territory. Honestly, I wouldn't even be surprised. But even if he's not on set, he recently reunited with Madelyn Cline and Drew Starkey!

Charles Esten/Instagram

"That thing where you’re playing your 4th Annual WARDJAMMER...and your amazing friends who also happen to be your @obx son and daughter surprise you by showing up and hanging out all night and even coming on stage to sing 'Left Hand Free,'" Charles writes on Instagram. "What an absolute joy to wrap my arms around these two! The bond is real and my heart is grateful."

Where is Outer Banks season 4 filming?

Netflix

Outer Banks season 4 has been seen filming around Charleston, South Carolina and Wilmington, North Carolina, which is where other titles like Dawson's Creek,The Summer I Turned Pretty, andOne Tree Hill have all filmed! Because OBX has never filming in Wilmington before, it makes me think the Pogues will truly go on an adventure we've never seen.

The First Look At Outer Banks Season 4

Image via Netflix/YouTube

After Netflix's Tudum event showed off the Pogues' new style (and confirmed that all of them will be returning, thank goodness), we got a brand new look at some Outer Banks season 4 scenes thanks to Netflix's 2024 preview. It's a brief clip, but we hear just how excited the Pogues are to go after a treasure they've "spent [their] whole lives hearing about" (same, TBH) — and get to see them lounging around on a day off. Treasure hunting is hard work, after all!

This first look gives us an idea of what we can expect from this upcoming installment because while season 1 had the golden overtone of our favorite 2000s dramas, season 2 featured warmer orange tones, and season 3 featured cooler blues and greens, it looks like Outer Banks season 4 is youthful, bright, and colorful. And thanks to this clip, we also know for a fact we'll see Madison Bailey, Rudy Pankow, Jonathan Daviss, Madelyn Cline, Chase Stokes, and Carlacia Grant come back to their iconic roles.

Is Outer Banks season 4 the last season?

Netflix

Netflix hasn't officially announced whether we'll be getting an Outer Banks season 5 or 6 yet, but creators Jonas and Josh Pate have enough story for another two seasons. "We’re going to fill in some gaps in the 18 months," Josh tells TUDUM. "We felt like we needed to migrate them out of school. We think about the first three [seasons] as a trilogy and then we’re starting over on [another sort of] trilogy now. We just needed to clear the decks. We’re going to have new villains, a new treasure hunt, a new life situation."

I'm excited to see what kind of roots the characters put down in Outer Banks season 4 — and how they flourish as the story continues!

Nothing has quite topped the magic of Outer Banks season 1. In fact, one of the hottest takes about the show is that the series should have ended with the first season (although that means we wouldn't have gotten the JJ x Kiara kiss in Outer Banks season 3…so I can't be too mad). A lot of that original magic comes from the fact that the Pogues were actually on the Outer Banks instead of traveling to different places around the world.

There's something about it that captured coming of age and discovering new details about your hometown that felt relatable and made me want to explore MY hometown to see what I could find — and not just because I'm actually from the Outer Banks. So, needless to say, when the season 3 ending revealed season 4 would be back on the OBX, I was more than excited to see what wacky adventures John B, Pope, Kie, Sarah, JJ, and Cleo would get into.

If you're wondering, "Is there an Outer Banks season 4 trailer?," wonder no more! Check out the Outer Banks season 4 trailer below for an idea of what to expect when OBX season 4 part 1 drops on Netflix October 10.

Watch The New 'Outer Banks' Season 4 Trailer

The new Outer Banks trailer offers some extra insight into what we'll see when part 1 drops in just a couple of weeks! The Pogues are back on the OBX but life isn't exactly a vacation, especially when JJ spends all their savings. Now this ragtag group of beach kids are hunting for Blackbeard's treasure, and trying to survive all the scuba diving and dirtbike riding that come along with it.

Fans went crazy in season 1 when Rafe and JJ almost came to blows over Kiara (and Rafe and John B. came to blows over everything else), and after a few seasons of dealing with pirates and gangsters, it look like they're finally coming face to face with each other again.

I'm hoping this finally brings some closure to the absolute disdain they have for each other, and maybe finally reveal if Rafe fell in love with Kiara during her Kook year, which is one of my personal theories about the show.

After years of searching, and fighting, the Pogues finally found the gold, which means they can celebrate having a normal life again! But their plans to kick back and relax in “Poguelandia 2.0” are interrupted by some financial troubles — and an offer from Wes Genrette to find Blackbeard's treasure. Now they're in a race against old and new enemies as they have to decide what they're really willing to risk. Because this year, they have everything to lose.

I love seeing our favorite characters back on the beach, gold and all. Plus their own bait, tackle, and charter tour shop to boot! But, like Chase Stokes' John B. says in the Outer Banks season 4 trailer, finding the gold was "just the beginning."

We get a glimpse of everything from JJ and Kiara scuba diving, Pope racing a dirt bike, and Cleo fighting off a bad guy. JJ also throws a punch at whom I can only assume is Rafe after all the drama in Outer Banks season 1 (Do you remember when Rafe and Topper jumped Pope? And then their fight at the movies ended with the entire screen on fire?).

Netflix

I also can't wait to see what the treasure hunt looks like this season. The trailer doesn't show off much of the hunt itself, but we're sure to see even more of the Outer Banks than we've seen before. After all, the Blackbeard really did have hiding spots along the North Carolina coast. Who knows what kind of treasure OBX holds!

Just like there's a Taylor Swift era for every stage of life, there's an Amy Sherman-Palladino show for any and every mood. Gilmore Girls is the end all be all for autumn (or anytime of year you want a little extra comfort), while Younger is perfect for the days we want to live it up in the city. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel reminds us to find the humor in everything, and Bunheads provides that perfect amount of early 2010s nostalgia (and also reminds us just how much we wanted to be dancers). You could spend all year binging the Amy Cinematic Universe, and it won't be too long before we'll have another title to throw in the mix.

ASP's newest show, Étoile, follows two world-famous ballet companies in New York and Paris who swap their most talented dancers in a last-ditch attempt to save themselves. It's sure to be a sophisticated and hilarious look into the prestige of dance, but our favorite thing about the show? It also ties into the other series because of some very special guest stars!

The 'Étoile' Cast Features Some Very Familiar Faces

Saeed Adyani/Netflix

Kelly Bishop

Kelly Bishop, whom you'll recognize from Gilmore Girls and Bunheads, will have a guest role in Étoile. And she can't wait to be on set! "There was this character that sounded like something that would be right for me," she says in an interview with The Daily Beast. "[Sherman-Palladino] has been so good to me and so generous and loyal that I don’t ever want to assume anything. I just said, 'Is this something that I should pursue?' God love her, she wrote back, 'I would love to have you play our Clara.' I went, 'Oh, I just got myself a job.' It’s a couple of guest spots on this new show. I think it’s going to be very interesting."

While we don't have much info on the character of Clara yet, I wouldn't be surprised if she was the head of the New York dance company.

Saeed Adyani/Netflix

Yanic Truesdale

Gilmore Girls star Yanic Truesdale (who played Michel on the hit series) will also have a guest role, listed in IMDb as "Raphael," and I'm guessing we'll see him as part of the Paris company! Between ASP, Yanic, and Kelly, this show is turning into one big Gilmore Girls reunion and I'm not mad about it!

Philippe Antonello/Prime Video

Luke Kirby

Luke Kirby starred as Lenny Bruce in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, but you can also see him as Davis Calloway on Gossip Girl and F. Lee Bailey in Boston Strangler.

Gideon Glick

You'll recognize Gideon Glick as Tommy Cothran in Maestro, and as Kyle McCallister in Ocean's Eight. You can also see him in Marriage Story!

Neil Jacobs/Netflix

Dakin Matthews

Here's another Gilmore Girls star we'll see in Étoile! Dakin Matthews plays Headmaster Charleston, but you can also see him as Joe in Waitress The Musical and as the voice of King William in The Swan Princess.

20th Century Studios/Disney

David Alvarez

Alvarez might play Isaac English in American Rust, but I personally fell in love with him as soon as he danced onscreen as Bernardo in West Side Story.

Leslie Fray

Before Étoilepremieres, you can see Leslie Fray as Nellie Carmichael in Girls on the Bus and Josephine Reacher in Reacher.

Who else would you love to see in the Étoile cast? Let us know on Facebook!

I love keeping up with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's relationship, but I also love learning new tidbits about him outside of their whirlwind romance. From his hilarious podcast to his golden retriever personality, Travis is truly one-of-a-kind!

But, what's really setting my heart ablaze about the man at the moment? Hushed tone: He's joined Ryan Murphy's universe in Murphy's new show, Grotesquerie! Say what you want about the nature of his shows, but Ryan Murphy has an eye for casting people perfectly in all of his series, so I expect nothing but great things from Travis. Here's everything we know about the upcoming series so far!

What is Ryan Murphy's new TV show?

Instagram

Brace yourselves because Grotesquerie will be coming to a TV near you! Leave it to Ryan Murphy to come up with a series name that's equally disturbing and enthralling. If you hear someone's teeth and bones quivering, it's mine.

Vulturereports that this is a horror show that's "outside of the American Horror Story umbrella." Based on the name alone, I can imagine that a grotesque form of horror will be introduced in the series and it'll have Ryan Murphy's signature twist on it.

Who is starring in 'Grotesquerie'?

StillMoving.net for Netflix, Jesse Grant/Getty Images for iHeartRadio, JC Olivera/Getty Images, and HBO

  • Niecy Nash-Betts as Detective Lois Tryon
  • Courtney B. Vance as Marshall Tryon
  • Raven Goodwin as Merritt Tryon
  • Lesley Manville as Nurse Redd
  • Micaela Diamond as Sister Megan
  • Nicholas Alexander Chavez as Father Charlie

Travis Kelce's role has yet to be revealed, but we can imagine he's going to play a significant part (via FX)!

What is 'Grotesquerie' about?

www.instagram.com

Grotesquerie is about Detective Lois Tryon (Niecy Nash-Betts) and her determination to solve recurring crimes in the place she calls home. On top of feeling plagued by what's happening in her community, she's dealing with friction in her personal life (via Deadline).

Nevertheless, Tryon starts working with Sister Megan (Micaela Diamond) to see if they can uncover what feels like an otherworldly plot. The problem is that they may be in over their heads as evil begins to show its horrifying face.

What have cast members said about Travis Kelce's debut in 'Grotesquerie?'

Jesse Grant/Getty Images for iHeartRadio

Niecy Nash-Betts was the first person to share the news about Travis Kelce's role in Grotesquerie on Instagram! She said, "Guys, guess who I'm working with on Grotesquerie" before Travis steps into view. Based on the short clip, they seemed excited to work together which later proved to be true.

"He was very open on if there was a note given or a suggestion given. So amenable. 'Tell me what I don't know. Tell me what your thought is on this,'" Nash-Betts said (via People). She added that she believes "fans are going to find him very charming in this role."

Nicholas Alexander Chavez also praised Travis's personality and his ability to adapt to being on set. "He handled the material like a pro. He’s awesome. He's a friendly and cool guy," he said (via People).

Does Donna Kelce support her son's acting debut?

www.instagram.com

This shouldn't be a real question, but some parents can be hesitant if their kids venture into different careers or hobbies. But we all know Donna Kelce isn't like that! She proudly showed her support for Travis by making an appearance at the premiere for Grotesquerie in a gorgeous burgundy outfit that complemented the purple carpet. She even admitted acting isn't a random thing for him.

"I think this is something he's always had in the back of his mind," she said before adding, "He's very coachable. That's one good thing he does,"(via People). Not that it should surprise anyone, but she thinks her youngest son was able to pivot towards acting because "he's got a good work ethic."

Is "Grotesquerie" Travis Kelce's first acting role?

JC Olivera/Getty Images

Variety reports that this is Travis Kelce's first major role, and I just know he's going to give it his all. I mean, we've seen him go from raging on the football field to frolicking around with Taylor Swift — we know this man has range! We don't know anything about his character yet, but I can't wait to learn more!

When does 'Grotesquerie' premiere?

Grotesquerie is coming to our TV screens tomorrow! You'll be able to watch new episodes at 10 p.m. every Wednesday on FX. If you prefer to stream it, you can catch episodes the next day on Hulu (via Deadline).

Weddings can be overwhelming, with months of planning, decision-making, and family stress. If you're feeling overwhelmed with the idea of planning yet another event with friends for your bachelorette, consider a break from tradition and booking a solo vacation instead. Getting away before the wedding gives you time to unwind, reflect, and mentally prepare for the big day and this major life transition. Here are six reasons to take a solo trip before you tie the knot, plus the best places to visit as a solo traveler!

Case #1: You Have Total Control Over The Experience

Andre Furtado

Group trips often come with compromises — everyone has different interests, budgets, and energy levels. A solo vacation allows you to design the perfect itinerary that fits your needs, whether you want to spend the day hiking in a national park, sipping coffee at a café in Paris, or simply reading a book by the beach, it’s all on your terms.

Solo Travel Idea: Spa Weekend In Sedona, AZ

Spencer Davis

Located two hours north from Phoenix, this small town is a destination for brides-to-be who want a bit of rest and relaxation and a nature-inspired spiritual boost. As soon as you arrive in town, you're struck by the intense beauty of the legendary red rock buttes that surround the town. There are forests filled with pine trees, junipers, and cacti, as well as a stunning canyon and peaceful creek. While Sedona is known for its natural beauty, it's also a hotbed of activity. There are hikes, bike rides, wild jeep tours, spa treatments, spiritual readings, and a delicious sprinkling of restaurants. Check out Mii Amo for an all-inclusive wellness getaway. Here you’ll find casitas with private balconies, in-room fireplaces and soaking tubs, as well as a new restaurant called Hummingbird. The Hummingbird menu includes items like salmon ceviche, duck breast, poulet rouge, and gluten-free and vegan selections. Daily guided meditations and special presentations and ceremonies (Canyon Bathing, anyone?) create an ideal environment to slow down and refocus. At the Enchantment Resort next door, you’ll find additional amenities you can use while exploring the surrounding 400 miles of trails.

Case #2: Enjoy A Moment Of Solitude Before Marriage

Andrea Piacquadio

This is an exciting time as you prepare to start a new life with your partner, but a solo vacation gives you one last opportunity to focus entirely on yourself. Use this time to reconnect with who you are as a person, separate from the roles and responsibilities that come with marriage and growing a family.

Solo Travel Idea: Kiss A Stingray On The Cayman Islands

Cayman Islands Department of Tourism

From chic hotels and villas to luxury wellness experiences, this destination is the prime spot for a solo bride-to-be to unwind. Stay at the Palm Heights Hotel, a picturesque beachfront stay located on Grand Cayman's Seven Mile Beach, one of the Caribbean’s most visited stretches of white sand. Enjoy pool time under the iconic yellow umbrellas at Tillie’s, and visit the Garden Club spa next door for everything from rejuvenating facials to body care and massages. You can also opt for Hotel Indigo, which is just steps away from Seven Mile Beach and features a rooftop bar, Pom Pom. Take a leisurely morning horseback ride or swim with Spirit of the West. Kiss a stingray for seven years of good luck at Stingray City, and make time for some R&R at VIDA through rooftop yoga sessions, spa treatments, organic cooking classes, paddle boarding, and more!

Case #3: No Friend Drama

Angelo Pantazis

Bachelorette weekends often involve managing group dynamics, which can be stressful and take away from the fun. Drama, misunderstandings, or conflicting schedules can make the trip more about managing others than celebrating you. By going solo, you can enjoy peace and quiet, focusing on your personal joy and relaxation without distractions.

Solo Travel Idea: Take A Chocolate Tour In Vancouver, BC

Adi K

Vancouver, Canada is the solo trip destination for brides-to-be looking to experience a little bit of everything, from breathtaking nature and wildlife to music festivals and incredible dining. Stay at the Granville Island Hotel, a beautiful boutique hotel located on the waterfront of Vancouver's artisan district: Granville Island. Explore Granville Island Public Market, a bustling market with fresh produce, artisanal goods, and gourmet treats. Take a guided tour by a master chocolatier. Don’t miss local favorites like Lee's Donuts, the seafood at The Lobsterman, and artisanal cheeses at Benton Brothers Fine Cheese. Visit the Federation Gallery or Eagle Spirit Gallery for Indigenous art, and watch glassblowing at the New-Small & Sterling Studio Glass. Vancouver International Wine Festival takes place each spring. British Columbia is also home to seven National Parks, and you can find the city’s live music scene offers everything from alt-country to old-fashioned rock ‘n roll, and experimental jazz.

Case #4: Stay on Budget

Jared Ng

Bachelorette parties, especially destination ones, can get pricey when factoring in group accommodations, meals, and activities. A solo vacation allows you to better manage costs, as you can choose exactly what you want to splurge on or save on. You could opt for a luxe hotel stay with a massage, or go for a budget-friendly backpacking trip — either way, the trip is curated entirely to your preferences and budget.

Solo Travel Idea: Cul-indulge in Singapore

Ingo Joseph

Singapore was recently rated as the #1 safest city in the world, making it the perfect destination for brides looking to travel alone before their big day! Brides-to-be can feel secure while exploring the city in nature, getting pampered at top-ranked holistic spas, shopping and trying new cuisines. Stay at the Capella Hotel, rated the #1 best hotel in Singapore and winner of Travel + Leisure World’s Best Award for 2024. Give yourself a full pre-wedding revamp through holistic therapies, such as the Eu Yang Sang TCM Clinic, which provides the ancient remedies of Traditional Chinese Medicine with the balms and tonics sold at Eu Yang Sang. Get some fresh air by exploring the city's parks and gardens, such as the stunning Singapore Botanic Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site is the perfect spot for a picnic, a jog or a reprieve from the buzz of the city. There are also outdoor trips such as Pulau Ubin, Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, and Henderson Waves Bridge. Michelin also awarded more than 50 Singapore restaurants with MICHELIN Stars this year. Try Candlenut, where Chef Malcolm Lee serves up flavors inspired by his grandmother's traditional Peranakan dishes; Labryinth, specializing in New Singaporean cuisine; or Born, offering a blend of classic French cuisine and bold Chinese influences housed in a building that dates back to 1903.

Case #5: Escape The Stress

Mika Baumeister

Bachelorette parties can be super fun and a great way to bond with your girlfriends, but they can also be exhausting and stressful. A solo vacation can offer quiet moments of reflection and adventure that will create memories that are unique to you.

Solo Travel Idea: Holiday Shop In Paris

Shvets Anna

Here's a bride-to-be getaway, Emily in Paris style. Holiday shop along the Champs-Élysées, where trees are lit up in spectacular red LED lights. While there, grab lunch and a macaron at Ladurée. The cooler temps and smaller crowds make it an ideal time to visit famous landmarks like the Eiffel Tower (catch a great view of it in the Christmas village at Trocadéro), the Louvre, and Notre-Dame Cathedral, where you'll find a Christmas market for the season (also check out the one at the Tuileries Gardens). Parisian cafés and bistros are enticing with warm and comforting dishes like onion soup, coq au vin, and decadent pastries. Sip a café au lait at Café Charlot in Le Marais or dig into the stunning bûche de Noël at the Butterfly Pâtisserie in the Hôtel de Crillon.

Case #6: Break Out Of Your Comfort Zone

Julie Aagaard

Traveling solo pushes you out of your comfort zone. You learn to navigate new places independently, solve problems on your own, and meet new people (easier than you would if you're in your comfort zone with friends). Whether it’s learning a new skill, finding your way through a new city, or gaining confidence in your own company, solo travel can be a truly transformative experience.

Solo Travel Idea: Take A Photography Class In Santa Fe

Jeff Hutchinson

B+C founder Brit Morin hosted a creative trip to Santa Fe, and it was the perfect weekend. She started the trip with a photography class at Santa Fe Photographic Workshops and explored the city behind the lens. She stayed at the Inn of the Five Graces — think maximalist style and comfort with a Santa Fe twist. Ofc, you cannot visit Santa Fe without a stop at the Georgia O’Keefe’s Home at Ghost Ranch. Some of Brit's personal highlights: Soaking in the Japanese-inspired tubs at Ten Thousand Waves spa and shooting cowboy photos at Mortenson’s Ranch where celebs like Tom Hanks have filmed movies. "We packed in quite an adventure taking in the art, color, food and natural beauty of the city, all while upping our Instagram game. I cannot wait to go back," she said.
