15 of the Weirdest, Wackiest and WTF-est Museums in America

If you’re an art lover, there’s a museum for you. If you’re a history buff, there are plenty of museums for you (maybe even in your pocket). But what if you like the wackier side of life? Then look no further, because we’ve got you covered with some of our favorite weird museums across the country — just in time for your next road trip.

1. American Visionary Arts Museum: In Baltimore, MD, this museum prides itself on art created by self-taught artists. So get ready for the obsessively intricate drawings of an artist with OCD, elaborate outdoor sculptures and the greatest museum store ever. (via Panoramio)

2. Mütter Museum: A medical history museum well known for its oddities, Philly’s Mütter Museum is most famous for its collection of preserved human fetuses. Oh, and slides of Einstein’s brain. (via Mütter Museum)

3. The International UFO Museum and Research Center: Located where else but Roswell, NM, this museum chronicles the mysterious incident of July 1947. Whether you believe an actual UFO was in the sky that night or not, you’ll get some good photos here. (via Abigail Austin)

4. Museum of Sex: MoSex, on Manhattan’s 5th Avenue of all places, is not for the timid. If you’re curious about the sex lives of animals or you wouldn’t mind seeing walls of sex toys, then this could be your spot. (via Wikimedia)

5. National Mustard Museum: If you’re searching for the perfect variety of mustard, then look no further. To celebrate America’s second favorite condiment, Wisconsin’s Mustard Museum even has a mustard vending machine. (via Changes in Longitude)

6. International Cryptozoology Museum: Dedicated to the study of unknown animals — think: Bigfoot, sea monsters and the like — this museum in Portland, ME, presents all the evidence you need to decide for yourself if the Yeti is real. (via Mashable)

7. Chasing Rainbows Museum: In the heart of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN, Dolly Parton herself opened this museum that chronicles her life and career thus far. See costumes from her movies and performances, and marvel at just how tiny her waist is. (via On the Road Again)

8. Museum of the Weird: Keeping Austin weird, the Museum of the Weird doesn’t disappoint with its collection of shrunken heads, a two-headed chicken and skeletons of creatures that may or may not be real. Don’t miss the gift shop for the perfect Austin souvenir. (via Clink Events)

9. The Neon Museum: Also known as the “neon boneyard,” Las Vegas’s collection of discarded but not forgotten neon signs makes for some amazing photo ops. They even offer a guided photo tour, so you’re sure to get the best shots. (via Julian Corlaci)

10. The Museum of Unnatural History: In a city known for its museums, it can be hard to find one that everyone hasn’t heard of. But this “museum,” which is actually the storefront for the DC chapter of an education nonprofit founded by author Dave Eggers, might fit the bill, from jars of “missing links” to cans of “primordial soup.” (via Informed Humane)

11. Birthplace of Kermit the Frog: Muppet lovers can find the birthplace of Kermit in Leland, MS. You’ll also learn about the childhood and career of his creator, Jim Henson, but we all know why you really came: Kermit swag. (via Flickr)

12. Museum of Mathematics: MoMath is an interactive museum for kids of all ages, so in you’re in New York City, stop by for an afternoon of educational playtime. It doesn’t get old. (via MoMath)

13. Leila’s Hair Museum: No joke, a hairdresser founded this museum in 1986 to display her talent for crafting jewelry and art out of human hair, including a few locks from celebrities. She brought back this art from the Victorian Era — it’s up to you to decide if it was worth the revival. (via Gallivant)

14. Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum: This historic apothecary has been preserved from its days in 1792 when it was founded by Quakers in Alexandria, VA. Step back in time to see its collection of hand-blown glass, medical equipment, archives and more. (via Alexandria Talks)

15. Celebrity Lingerie Hall of Fame: Located upstairs at the Frederick’s of Hollywood on Hollywood Boulevard in LA, this small collection features lingerie worn by some of the greatest: Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Madonna and more. While you’re there, you might as well pick up a piece of iconic lacy lingerie for yourself. (via Judy Garland Database)

If you're a 90s movies (and horror movies) lover, you might agree that nothing beats an old school slasher. I Know What You Did Last Summer, which stars Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Freddie Prinze Jr., premiered in 1997, combines everything we love about coming of age movies — friends, summer vacation, and drama — with just enough terror to send a chill down your spine. And just like the original, the new I Know What You Did Last Summer features some of the hottest names in Hollywood.

Everything you need to know about the new I Know What You Did Last Summer sequel movie, coming to theaters July 18, 2025.

Is there a 3rd I Know What You Did Last Summer?

Columbia Pictures

Yes, a brand new I Know What You Did Last Summer is coming to theaters this summer. But just because it's a new film doesn't mean it won't have plenty of nostalgia.

"There's lots of '90s in there, so get excited because the '90s are back again!" Jennifer Love Hewitt, who's returning for the movie, told People. "And there's lots of twists and turns. I don't think people are going to expect anything that's coming. It's a really fun ride."

"We approached it like super fans, so I think people are going to be really happy," writer-director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson added. "All the things that you want to see in this movie, you're going to see in this movie."

But when someone starts terrorizing them the next year, they reach out to Julie and Ray for help. And Jennifer Love Hewitt can't get enough of this new "phenomenal" cast!

"It's for them to make it their own and for me to stand by like a proud mom and say, 'It's yours now, take it and run and enjoy,'" she told People.

"When you get a group of young actors together, it can be a recipe for disaster oftentimes," Chase Sui Wonders added. "But everyone in this cast just brought it to the nth degree. We all got along so well. The chemistry between us was so fun and natural and seamless."

Do Revenge's Jennifer Kaytin Robinson is directing and co-writing alongside Sam Lansky.

My favorite part about spring is finally being able to open the windows and let the fresh air in. The sound of birds chirping and the scent of jasmine drifting inside instantly lifts my mood. It’s not just in my head too — studies show that scent, emotion, and memory are deeply intertwined. A familiar fragrance can bring back happy memories and boost your mood, while unpleasant odors can do the opposite. If you're craving that same fresh feeling all year round, here are a few easy ways to infuse your home with your favorite scents without a lot of effort.

Here are six easy ways to make your home smell amazing.

Shutterstock

1. Simmer Your Scent

Toss sliced oranges, lemons, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and a sprig of rosemary into a pot of water. Let it gently simmer on the stove, and your home will smell like a cozy spa-meets-bakery hybrid. Try different combos like apple + star anise or lavender + lemon.

Homecourt

2. Clean With Scented, Sustainable Cleaners

Start with a clean, fresh canvas for spring by giving your home a good scrub. I'm in love with Homecourt scents (Courtney Cox's brand of cleaners), including the Neroli Leaf and Cipres Mint, all made with sustainable ingredients.

Or try this DIY citrus + herb air spray. In a spray bottle, combine:

  • 1 cup distilled water
  • 1 tbsp witch hazel (to help disperse oils)
  • 10–15 drops of essential oils (like lemon, grapefruit, or eucalyptus)
  • Optional: a few sprigs of fresh rosemary or mint

Shake well and spritz around the house for a burst of freshness.

3. Bake!

Nothing beats the smell of fresh-baked cookies and breads. Here's an even easier way to trick your nose: warm a teaspoon of vanilla extract in the oven at 300°F for 15–20 minutes. It gives off a sweet, bakery-like scent with zero effort.

4. DIY A Scented Carpet Refresher

Mix 1 cup of baking soda with 10–15 drops of essential oil (lavender, tea tree, or cedarwood work well). Sprinkle over rugs or carpets, let sit for 20 minutes, then vacuum. It lifts odors and leaves behind a soft, lingering scent.

Anthropologie

5. Use Candles Or Diffuse Essential Oils

Choose essential oils like lavender, eucalyptus, lemon, or sweet orange for a clean, soothing scent. No diffuser? Add a few drops to a bowl of steaming water. These top-rated candles from Anthropologie are also a great way to set the mood and infuse the air with a friendly scent.

Bouqs

6. Bring in Fresh Flowers and Herbs

It's spring! Treat yourself to a flower subscription or grab a bouquet at Trader Joe's. Houseplants, bundles of eucalyptus in the shower, or even a vase of fresh basil on the kitchen counter can lightly scent your space while adding a touch of life and color.

After only two episodes of Only Murders in the Building season 4, Hulu renewed the series for season 5! I'm so excited that the show breaks a recent pattern of cancelling shows after the third or fourth season, giving us more time with our favorite characters, and I'm not the only one.

"Here we go again… my favorite set family. I’m coming home!" Selena Gomez says in an Instagram post, while the official Only Murders account made their own post, saying, "We had our lawyers call business affairs. Turned the 4 into a 5. #OnlyMurdersInTheBuilding is coming back for Season 5!!"

In addition to the show entering production, the one and only Renée Zellweger (Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy) just joined the cast. Iconic!

Here's everything you need to know about Only Murders in the Building season 5, coming to Hulu soon.

Who's in the Only Murders in the Building season 5 cast?

Eric McCandless/Disney

The Only Murders in the Building season 5 cast features all our favorites, and some new faces! According to Dan Fogelman, “we can expect more big guest stars that’ll probably be announced sooner rather than later,” he tells The Wrap.

"I am so grateful that I have been surrounded by human beings that make me better, challenge me, remind me day after day that every moment is a gift," Selena Gomez says about working with Steve Martin and Martin Short. "That’s my pure joy. I thank god for the era I’m in. It’s been the best yet."

The Only Murders season 5 cast includes:

  • Selena Gomez as Mabel Mora: a true crime lover who begins her own podcast after getting sucked into a murder mystery.
  • Martin Short as Oliver Putnam: a theatre director and founder of the Only Murders in the Building podcast.
  • Steve Martin as Charles Hayden Savage: an actor and true crime lover who begins the Only Murders podcast with Oliver and Mabel.
  • Téa Leoni as Sofia Caccimelio: a woman who approaches the podcast trio after her husband Nicky goes missing.
  • Renée Zellweger
  • Christoph Waltz
  • Keegan-Michael Key

What is Only Murders in the Building season 5 about?

Patrick Harbron/Disney

We finally got our first details about Only Murders season 5 — and we're going in a direction I totally didn't expect. When Sofia visits Mabel and Charles in the season 4 ending, and asks them to find her missing husband, she's disappointed when they turn her down. And since Téa Leoni just joined the season 5 cast, it looks like she's not taking no for an answer.

“I think she’s the great tease at the end of the finale and a little bit of an intriguing bump forward,” co-creator John Hoffman says in an interview with Deadline. “She’s an extension of the little news report in Episode 9 that Mabel makes note of at the hospital. [Sofia] is the wife of the Dry Cleaning King of Brooklyn, and maybe a couple of dry cleaning outlets in Manhattan, as well, we may come to know...It’s a world opened up potentially that we haven’t talked about too much yet in New York, so she holds a lot of intrigue.”

Patrick Harbron/Hulu

New York's underground is a wild space that we haven't really seen on Only Murders yet so I know we're in for one very interesting season — because if this show is going to go there, they're going to go there.

Executive producer Dan Fogelman told The Wrapwe can look forward to “another big fun mystery the writers have been cooking up," while Hoffman has gone on the record saying the new episodes will “hit on some very current things going on within New York, specifically very relevant things that are happening in the city right now.”

When is Only Murders in the Building season 5 coming out?

Patrick Harbron/Hulu

There's no Only Murders in the Building season 5 release date quite yet, but the show is in production! Considering we've had a new season over the last four years (with season 1 in 2021, season 2 in 2022, season 3 in 2023, and season 4 in 2024), we're expecting to see season 5 in 2025. Stay tuned for the official Only Murders season 5 release date.

How many episodes are there in Only Murders in the Building season 5?

Patrick Harbron/Hulu

Only Murders in the Building season 5 will have 10 episodes total on Hulu.

Okay, we already know that Nobody Wants This season 2 is on its way, and that it's going to feature a new love interest for Morgan (bye bye Sasha!), and on March 7, Netflix gave us a brand new piece of info: the series is now filming! And Kirsten Bell and Adam Brody are getting cozy — not that I'm surprised.

Here's what we know about Nobody Wants This season 2 filming.

Kirsten Bell and Adam Brody are back as Joanne and Noah!

Netflix

Nobody Wants This is in production as of March 7, 2025 — and new episodes are set to premiere on Netflix this year! Two seasons in two years? We are so back.

In the first production image from season 2, Joanne and Noah are lying on the couch with Noah's arm wrapped around Joanne. Joanne's wearing a navy and red jacket while Noah's opted for a dark gray hoodie. Cozy!

Nobody Wants This season 2 was renewed in October of 2024. Creating Nobody Wants This will forever be a career highlight for me," creator and executive producer Erin Foster said in a statement. "The incredible cast, crew, producers and executives all made this into the show it is today, and to experience viewers' reactions to this series now that it's out in the world has been more than anything I could have dreamed."

Executive producer and showrunner Bruce Eric Kaplan added that the rom-com TV show "is such a unique and beautiful show and I am already having the best time working on it.”

We've had a blast watching it — and I know viewers are going to enjoy all the new episodes.

Where is Nobody Wants This season 2 filming?

Adam Rose/Netflix

Season 2 is in production in Los Angeles, California, where they filmed season 1.

The new BTS photos of Nobody Wants This season 2 possible revealed a huge idea about when we'll see Joanne and Noah on our screens again. The second picture of Adam Brody looks alarming, but the third still shows a little bit of blood by his mouth. In our opinion, it looks like he's wearing a costume while filming because the sixth photo shows Justine Lupe wearing something that feels very Julia Roberts-esque via Pretty Woman.

The second comment on Deux Moi's Instagram post says, "oh so this is 100% coming out in the fall" while follow-up statements like "So, will it be a Halloween release or a Purim release? October or March?! We need to know now" and "Ty for the spoiler alert! 🚨 so appreciative ❤️❤️" seem to agree on a potential fall release date.

Crossing our fingers Nobody Wants This will be back between September and November!
