West Elm’s Latest Collab Is *All* About the Clever Details

We’re only a couple of months into 2019, and now that our spaces have been successfully KonMari-ed and freshly stocked with the best tidying tools, we’re moving on to shopping for gorgeously functional (and storage friendly!) furniture. Per usual, West Elm is bringing its A-game with its latest collaboration with Rhode Island-based designer Debra Folz.

This new collection of bedroom storage, tables, and mirrors, ranging from $210 to $1,399, feature subtle details that make them practically museum-worthy. Scroll on to see these new pieces and be sure to shop your favorites at West Elm before they’re gone.

The bedroom collection features a 5-Drawer Dresser ($1,399), 3-Drawer Dresser ($999), and Nightstand ($499). Each silhouette is classic enough to mesh with different decor styles, but the marble top and twisted cast hardware has us doing a double-take.

The Coffee (above, $499) and Side ($299) tables also serve as major conversation pieces. The satin brass frames are versatile enough to play well with just about any sofa, while the champagne and smoke-tinted glasses are layered slightly askew for an intersecting, colorful effect.

We’re big believers in the transformative power of a well-placed round mirror and this $299 option takes the cake. Mimicking a delicate loop of thread, this art-inspired mirror works as a solo statement or a playful addition to a vanity.

Celebrity designer Francesca Grace is my latest design crush. Her vintage-eclectic aesthetic blends cottagecore charm with maximalist flair and a hint of European vintage glamour — and I swoon every time. Most recently, she staged a stunning four-bedroom, five-bathroom home in Palm Springs, drawing bold inspiration from the raw beauty of the desert landscape.

“My approach was to harmonize the home's contemporary architecture with eclectic, artful interiors," says Francesca. That she achieved, creating a space that feels both curated and soulful. With vibrant color, playful patterns, and richly textured materials, she infused the space with warmth and character and created a look that feels both timeless and refreshingly modern.

Here are 8 design ideas I'm loving from this Palm Springs home.

William Myers

Huge glass walls throughout the house blur the line between indoors and out, making the whole place feel super connected to nature. It’s a fresh take on desert living — grounded in its surroundings and full of personality.

1. Lean Into Cozy Seating

William Myers

It’s the kind of place that invites you to sink in, unwind, and soak up the desert calm. While Francesca paid homage to the spirit of Palm Springs, she intentionally steered away from the typical mid-century vibe, bringing something fresh and unexpected instead. “Drawing from my travels in France and Italy, I incorporated hues that evoke a sense of warmth and comfort, ensuring the interiors resonate with the desert landscape while maintaining a timeless appeal," says Francesca.

William Myers

The moment you step inside, it’s a stunning visual experience. Desert views are perfectly framed, while Francesca’s thoughtful use of color and sculptural furniture mirrors the rugged landscape and captures the magic of the desert light.

Here’s a peek at those spectacular indoor-outdoor views that give the home a serene, spa-like feel — and turn every window into a work of art.

2. Use An Earthy Palette

William Myers

The color scheme was influenced by the natural surroundings of Palm Springs and Francesca's affinity for earthy, rich tones. And that velvet platform bed? The curved edges make it feel extra inviting—so much softer and cozier than sharp lines.

3. Maximize Views

William Myers

This dreamy bathroom is beyond beautiful thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows that invite the desert in and an elegant design. "Floor-to-ceiling windows were left unadorned or dressed with minimal treatments to frame the natural beauty without obstruction," says Francesca.

William Myers

Even the walk-in closet comes with a picture-perfect view of the desert — because why not?

4. Embrace Natural Stone

William Myers

A bold marble sink adds just the right amount of edge to this neutral bathroom, keeping the design layered, luxe, and anything but boring.

5. Blend Textures

William Myers

Francesca sourced a boulder from the surrounding land and transformed it into a custom coffee table, merging the connection between indoors and outdoors.

Texture is my love language," says Francesca. "It’s how I bring emotion into a space without shouting. For this home, I layered everything: marble, smooth leather, raw woods with polished stone, sheer linen next to rich velvet. The palette might be neutral, but the materials are doing all the talking. That contrast keeps the eye engaged and creates a sense of quiet luxury that doesn’t try too hard," she adds.

William Myers

That marble fireplace is also a work of art. The stunning desert landscape significantly influenced the layout and styling choices. “I positioned seating areas to maximize views of the outdoors, creating a seamless connection between the interior and exterior spaces.

William Myers

The kitchen acts as a breezy bridge between the entry and the back of the house, creating a clean, open space that balances all the surrounding coziness.

William Myers

Here’s the view from the dining area — and I’m obsessed with the textured pendant lights. They bring a soft, organic touch that beautifully balances the kitchen’s harder lines.

6. Mix In Vintage Pieces

William Myers

Francesca mixed in a few vintage finds and unexpected accents to keep things fresh and dynamic, but her LA shop Somme really set the tone. There’s something really special about designing pieces that already have a story and a soul behind them—and being able to place them in a home like this just adds another layer of intention. I wanted the furnishings to feel elevated but livable, with just the right amount of edge," says Francesca.

7. Go Bold With Art

William Myers

For this home, Francesca worked closely with Creative Art Partners (CAP) to curate the perfect art collection that she says "felt intentional, emotional, and deeply tied to the spirit of the space."

William Myers

“Our goal was to create a narrative through the art — each piece had to serve a purpose, whether it added a punch of color, an unexpected texture, or a provocative element that brought energy to a room. That said, because this is a staged home, we were thoughtful about how far we pushed certain pieces. There’s a fine line between bold and polarizing, so we curated selections that had impact without alienating potential buyers. CAP was an amazing partner in helping us strike that balance and tell a cohesive story throughout the home,” she said.

8. Balance A Cozy Minimalism

William Myers

Striking the right balance between cozy and clean called for thoughtful layering and intentional decor choices. It’s all about avoiding clutter without letting the space feel cold or sterile.

William Myers

"I focus on incorporating plush textiles, ambient lighting, and personal artifacts to add warmth, while maintaining an uncluttered environment by curating pieces that serve both functional and aesthetic purposes. This philosophy ensures the space feels inviting without visual overload," she says.

I'm a tried-and-true Marvel stan — even as a kid, the idea of superheroes existing in the regular world and fighting evil always made me feel so powerful. And with WandaVision, Captain America: Brave New World, and Thunderbolts*, that feeling has only evolved as I've become an adult. But as the MCU has grown, adding countless TV shows, characters, and universes, some of the original, classic nostalgia has faded. And that's where The Fantastic Four: First Steps comes in!

Flying into theaters July 11, 2025, The Fantastic Four takes place in an alternate 1960s — so when I say the movie is making me feel nostalgic, I mean it quite literally. And thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we have a brand new look at the movie!

Keep reading for the newest images of Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, Vanessa Kirby, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach in The Fantastic Four, coming to theaters July 11, 2025.

Who are the main 4 in Fantastic Four?

Jay Maidment/Marvel Studios, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly

The Fantastic Four revolves around Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal), Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn), Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby), and Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), and Entertainment Weekly just dropped a bunch of new pictures from the film — like this shot of Ben securing his helmet for space exploration.

When is The Fantastic Four?

Jay Maidment/Marvel Studios, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly

Marvel's Fantastic Four takes place in the 1960s...in a different universe. Because with Marvel's multiverse, anything is possible.

"We knew that we'd be on another Earth, so we had a chance to reinvent what the '60s looked like," director Matt Shakman (who also directed WandaVision!!) tells EW. "I was really interested in imagining the Fantastic Four being astronauts. Instead of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin going to the moon, what if it was Reed, Sue, Johnny, and Ben who were really the first to go into outer space, the first to push those boundaries?"

Who's in The Fantastic Four cast?

Jay Maidment/Marvel Studios, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly

The Fantastic Four cast was, without a doubt, the most important part of the movie to get right. "It wasn't just a search for who was the best Ben and who was the best Johnny, but also who was the best family?" Matt Shakman says. "Who was the best married couple? Who were the best siblings and honorary uncle? So it's been very gratifying to see the incredible chemistry that the four of them have had since the beginning."

The cast includes:

  • Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic: the leader of the Fantastic Four with the power to stretch his limbs.
  • Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman: Reed's wife who can turn invisible and create force fields.
  • Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch: Sue's brother who can ignite into flame and fly.
  • Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing: Reed's best friend who basically appears as a mass of rocks.

Are Sue Storm and Reed Richards married?

Jay Maidment/Marvel Studios, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly

Yes, Sue Storm and Reed Richards are married — and they make a perfect team.

"If he is the most scientifically intelligent person, then she is the most emotionally intelligent person on the planet," Matt Shakman tells EW. "Between the two of them, they're building an idealistic society."

"If you played an exact '60s Sue today, everyone would think she was a bit of a doormat," Vanessa Kirby adds. "So figuring out how to capture the essence of what she represented to each generation, where the gender politics were different, and embody that today, was one of the greatest joys of this."

Jay Maidment/Marvel Studios, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly

But they're also quickly going to become a family of three because Marvel confirmed during CinemaCon that the theory about Sue being pregnant is correct!

"One of the things I love most from Sue's history is when she becomes Malice, and all her dark stuff comes out," Vanessa Kirby says. "I wanted to make sure that there were tones of Malice in there with her, that she wasn't just the stereotype of a goody, sweet mother."

"I've always been really interested in the mess of femininity," she continues. "Not just the tough, invincible, powerful woman, but also a mother who gives birth, which is itself a superhero act. I love that these characters are real humans in a messy family who argue and try to work it out and get things wrong."

With this cast and WandaVision's Matt Shakman at the head, I know The Fantastic Four: First Steps is going to be a Marvel movie that goes down in history. Read up on 5 New Marvel Movies Worth Watching.

I love hosting and making my guests feel at home. And living in a tourist destination (Sonoma wine country) means I get a lot of them — especially as the weather warms up. Over time, I’ve learned that creating a warm, welcoming space doesn’t have to mean stress or all-day prep. Guests only seem to notice a few key things, not whether you color-coded your bookshelf or spring cleaned your closets. Whether it’s a casual dinner party or an overnight stay, these simple steps make a big difference before guests arrive.

Here are six things you should always do before guests arrive.

Do a Quick Clutter Sweep

You don’t need to deep-clean — just focus on visible clutter. Clear off countertops, coffee tables, and entryways. Short on time? Just toss items into a basket and tuck them away in a closet.

Light a Candle Or Diffuse A Favorite Scent

Set the mood with a seasonal or favorite scent, like vanilla, amber, or something citrusy. It instantly makes your space feel warm and inviting. I like to put one in the guest bathroom too for a little surprise.

Have a little time? You can also simmer citrus and your favorite herbs on the stove.

You’ll Need:

  • Citrus slices like oranges, lemons, or limes
  • A few sprigs of fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)
  • 1–2 cinnamon sticks or whole cloves
  • A splash of vanilla extract

Steps:

  1. Slice your citrus thinly. Try a mix of orange and lemon for a bright, balanced scent.
  2. Fill a pot with water, about ¾ full.
  3. Add your ingredients to the water.
  4. Bring to a simmer over low heat. As the mixture warms, the scent will start to fill your space. (Keep an eye on the water level, and add more as it evaporates.)

Prep the Bathroom

Nothing makes guests feel more "ick" than a dirty or messy bathroom so prioritize this space. Wipe down the sink and toilet, put out a fresh hand towel, and make sure there’s enough toilet paper.

Set the Mood with Music or Lighting

I make sure to switch off all the overheads (not a fan of this harsh lighting) and turn on table lamps for a cozy vibe. Then cue up a Spotify "dinner party" playlist that matches the energy — something mellow and upbeat is usually a safe bet.

Add Thoughtful Touches

A long-distance friend of mine would always leave me a basket of toiletries for my overnight stays and it's something I always remember fondly. On their bedside table, you can leave them a pitcher of water, their favorite snacks, flowers or herbs, and/or a book or magazine. Little details make people feel instantly loved.

Take the Garbage Out

Nothing ruins the party vibe like a smelly garbage can. Empty it before anyone arrives, and consider adding a fresh liner with a drop of essential oil or baking soda to keep things smelling fresh and clean.

Nothing would crush us more than reading about another betrayal in ACOTARbook 6, but several readers are convinced Sarah J. Maas has left easter eggs about one. The lousy part about this is that it involves one of the people we've come to trust — Morrigan from Rhysand's Night Court.

We've had the misfortune of watching too many heartbreaking theories about her and feel ready to join a support group for readers who've been burned by authors' decisions. But before we do that, we're highlighting why people think about favorite loyal and supportive fae isn't who we think she is.

Scroll to see the depressing theories about Morrigan's perceived fate in ACOTAR book 6

Who is Morrigan in the ACOTAR series?

Readers immediately felt comforted by Morrigan in A Court of Mist and Fury because she immediately presented as a trustworthy figure in an unfamiliar world. Feyre was already dealing with the aftermath of being forced to live in Prythian and eventually losing her life before being saved while she was in Under the Mountain, but she didn't know what to think about the charming Rhysand.

Though she made a deal with him, Feyre was still unsure about their arrangement. This eventually changed when she discovered Morrigan rescued her from a distressing moment while she was still living at the Spring Court. From that point on, Morrigan and Feyre developed an easy friendship that spans the rest of the ACOTAR. But, who is she?

Feyre and readers learn that Morrigan is the Third-in-Command of Rhysand's Night Court as well as one of his closest friends. She's not as brutish as Cassian or moody like Azriel, but she can be stubborn if she feels strongly about a situation. More importantly, she's been the most level-headed fae in the Night Court.

Why do people think Morrigan's betrayal will happen in ACOTAR book 6?

It pains us to share different theories about Morrigan's possible betrayal in ACOTAR book 6, but we think you should be as prepared as possible. The first Reddit thread we glanced is tame, but still doesn't make us feel any better. There's a belief that Mor's not satisfied "with the way the court is being run and is going to betray her friends and family to another court." The user also says they think Azriel "senses her betrayal coming," but may be distracted now that he and Elain are getting closer.

But this theory dives deeper and connects Morrigan to the Archeron sisters — Nesta, Feyre and Elain. The creator shared a video of herself sitting down while her text overlay reads, "I lied put your clothes back on. We're going to talk about my ACOTAR theory that Mor will be the betrayer based on Eris calling her Morrigan twice vs. Mor and the mythology behind The Morrigan associated with war, destiny, and shapeshifting as a single or triple tie in to the 3 Archerson sisters as the crow, the prophet, the death bringer."

One of the comments on the video says, "Rereading for the ump-teenth time and there is just so much suspiciousness around Mor. I’m sat. Let’s talk, haha." Honestly, we don't know if we want to chat or think about this! But wait, there's one more thing to discuss.

It's been said that Azriel's madly in love with Morrigan, but fans aren't convinced he is. According to this idea, there's a reason he seems to act so weird around her. The text overlay says, "Okay but that one ACOTAR theory where Azriel isn't actually in love with Mor. He's been using his shadows to spy on her because he knows what she really is/what she's doing. And he gets weird when other people confront her not because he's protective of her, but because he's trying to protect THEM from her."

Until we know if the theories about Morrigan's betrayal will actually happen in ACOTAR book 6, follow us on Facebook for more updates!

So, don't overlook it! If you're searching for your next great series to binge, here are 10 Hulu shows you need to add to your watch list this month.

Hulu

3. Will Trent

Three seasons later, Will Trent is still entertaining audiences, largely in part due to the compelling lead performance by Ramón Rodriguez. He plays Will, a Georgia Bureau of Investigation special agent who navigates complicated cases while working alongside (or clashing with) the Atlanta PD.

Will Trent, which also features Erika Christensen, Gina Rodriguez, Sonja Sohn, and more, has reportedly been renewed for a fourth season.

Hulu

4. The Bear

Set in a chaotic Chicago kitchen, The Bear is a raw drama that goes way beyond food. Jeremy Allen White, most well-known for his role as Lip Gallagher in Shameless, stars as Carmen, a young fine-dining chef who has to return home and run his late brother's sandwich shop.

The Bear is an intense and emotional rollercoaster that explores themes of survival, identity, and grief. Jeremy is also joined by actors such as Ayo Edebiri, Liza Colón Zayas, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Lionel Boyce, and Abby Elliott.

Hulu

5. The Handmaid's Tale

This show debuted in 2017 and is a cornerstone of Hulu's original content. The Handmaid's Tale portrays an unnerving dystopian society where women are stripped of their rights and reduced to servitude, particularly if they are still able to get pregnant in the wake of so much world pollution.

Based on the novel by Margaret Atwood, the series follows June Osborne, a handmaid who risks everything to escape and reunite with her family. It has won multiple Emmys, a Golden Globe, and has six seasons.

Rick and Morty first debuted in 2013 and continues to be one of the most hilarious and wild shows on Hulu.

ABC

8. The Rookie

In The Rookie, actor Nathan Fillion portrays John Nolan, a 40-year-old who decides to join the LAPD after a life-changing event, becoming the oldest rookie on the force.

This causes him to encounter some steep learning curves and skepticism from his peers, but the series proves that fresh starts are possible at any age. Other cast members include Eric Winter, Alyssa Diaz, Mekia Cox, Melissa O'Neil, and Titus Makin Jr.

FX

9. Fargo

Created by Noah Hawley, Fargo weaves a different story of crime and corruption in each season, all of which are steeped in plenty of dark humor.

The TV iteration, which debuted in 2014, was inspired by the 1996 film of the same name. It has five seasons and features a rotating cast of standout actors in varying settings and time periods.

Hulu
