8 Signs That It’s Time to Toss Your Bra

When did you buy yourself a new bra? If you can’t remember, it’s likely time. It’s okay, it happens to all of us. With busy lives, upgrading our intimates can sometimes fall pretty low on the priority list. So how do you know when it’s time for an undergarment overhaul? We turned to I Love a Good‘s Jenny Altman to school us on the top eight signs to look for. Keep reading to get schooled.

1. It hurts. “This should go without saying, but too many women put up with pain in the name of support. No, your bra should never hurt.”

2. Your body’s changed. “This includes working out a lot, having a baby, and the like. When you’ve gained weight, lost weight, or your breast shape has changed, your bra needs change too.”

3. It doesn’t measure up. “When you go for a proper fitting (everyone should) and realize you’re not the same size you wore in high school (spoiler alert: nobody is), it’s time for your bra to grow with you. Buy yourself a pretty new one.” (We like this Elle Macpherson Body Blaze Lace Bra [$69]).

4. Your waist is gone. “When you look down and realize there is no separation between your breasts and your waist, you need a more supportive and figure-flattering bra.”

5. Your bra looks worn. “Once you see hanging threads, when your white no longer looks white, or when you can’t read the tag — your bra has officially passed its “best by” date and is ready for an update.” Our advice? Try this Chantelle Le Marais Lace Unlined Plunge Bra ($88).

6. It’s not smiling anymore. “No, really. When the U of the wire is no longer in a perfect U shape around each breast (AKA: your wires have lost their smile), they have expired. Nobody wants a sad bra!”

7. You need a confidence boost. “Anytime you need a shot of self-esteem, throw out or donate your old bras and buy new ones that are better, prettier, and more comfortable. You’ll be amazed what a difference this makes.” (Trust us: Nothing will perk you up like this Hannah Lightly Lined Racerback Bra [$26]).

8. The wires are exposed. “When the wire pops out, there is no fixing it. Toss it. (And don’t put your bras in the dryer next time!)

Now go into your underwear drawer and throw out or donate all of the bras you have not worn in the last two weeks (with the exception of strapless/convertible or specialty silos that you will need again). If you are only wearing your top two to three bras, buy five new ones of those styles and rotate. The others are just taking up space.”

Ah, a new year – the perfect time to reevaluate and refresh your routine, diet, home, and of course, your closet! I always try to take the time at the top of a new year to clean out the pieces that don’t serve me anymore, and the one thing I tend to comb through the most is my shoe collection. From sneakers to sandals and boots to clogs, I typically come across several outdated pairs that make me wonder why I even wore them in the first place!

In the vein of going all-in on a brand-new beginning for your shoe collection in 2025, you’re gonna want to know these 5 outdated winter shoe trends to start the year off right – and in style.

These are the top 5 outdated winter shoe trends for 2025, plus the best styles to wear instead.

Ugg

UGG Classic Tall Boots

1. Tall UGG boots

Tall UGG boots are so 2010. They can be clunky, annoyingly warm on the feet, and tend to make your body proportions look… funky.

Nordstrom

UGG Classic Ultra Mini Boots

Instead, opt for the UGGs all the cool girls are wearing well into winter 2025: the Classic Mini. These boots don’t rise nearly as high on your legs, lengthening and flattering your figure.

Nordstrom

UGG Classic Ultra Mini Platform Boots

UGG even sells a shorter style called the Ultra Mini, which you can also snag in a platform silhouette.

UGGs are undoubtedly winter-ready since they’re lined with shearling on the inside to keep your toes warm. If you’re worried about snow or ice getting to them, you can get an UGG boot guard or spray your pair down in waterproof and stain-proof protectant.

Amazon

Circus NY Nellie Mary Janes

2. Platform shoes

I hate to say it, but platform shoes seem to be on their way out for 2025. And I get it – platform shoes like Mary Janes and loafers can be impractical, especially if you have to commute in treacherous winter conditions like snow.

Urban Outfitters

Urban Outfitters Matilda Mary Jane Ballet Flats

Instead, the fashion world is blowing up with lower-profile shoe designs, meaning they don’t have as much height to them.

Nordstrom

Sam Edelman Denise Penny Loafer

Opt for low-lying ballet flats, loafers, and Mary Janes to keep your shoe game subtle, yet stylish in 2025.

Nordstrom

AGL The Chunky Biker Lug Sole Leather Boots

3. Round-toe boots

We’re going to be seeing less and less round-toe boots (and round-toe shoes in general) this coming year. They were definitely popular at a point in time, but a lot of fashion fiends nowadays are wearing the more eye-catching, and even more sultry shoe designs that include square or pointed toes.

Free People

Jeffrey Campbell Lights Out Moto Boots

Try out these square-toe boots to instantly elevate your outfits in 2025.

Nordstrom

Dolce Vita Shadie Waterproof Pointed Toe Chelsea Boots

Pointed-toe boots are also undeniably chic.

Nordstrom

Moon Boot Classic Low 2 Water Repellent Nylon Boots

4. Moon boots

It could just be me living near a ton of mountain towns, but Moon boots are a winter shoe trend I’m simply tired of seeing. They stick out like a sore thumb when it comes to snow boots, plus even though they have a hefty price tag, they don’t necessarily stand out from other similar snow boots, other than the fact that they have a big logo stamped across them for curb appeal.

Moon boots have gotta go. Try other warm (and less obnoxious) snow boot styles, like the ones below.

Nordstrom

Sorel Tivoli V Faux Fur Lined Waterproof Boots

These cozy, lined boots are way less bulky but still provide great traction and protection against snowy weather.

Nordstrom

Hunter Amble Booties

These insulated booties ensure you stay comfy, warm, and dry this season – all while looking stylish!

DSW

Fila Disruptor II Sneakers

5. Chunky sneakers

I fear chunky sneakers – like the ever-popular Fila Disruptors – are simply out of style. They’ve been done over and over again, and instead, the fashion girls are showing off in something entirely brand-new.

In case you didn’t know, sleek platform sneakers – most notably the Adidas Gazelles or Handball Spezials – are so in. They’re practically the “It” girl shoes that keep on giving.

Shop my fave styles below.

Adidas

Adidas Gazelle Bold Shoes

The stacked soles on these shoes are everything.

Ash Mae Buckle Hi Top Sneakers

This familiar shoe style is elevated even more with an edgy buckle design.

After Taylor Swift was broughtinto the middle of Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's legal battle (the popstar was allegedly present alongside Blake, Justin, and Ryan Reynolds, praising Blake's It Ends With Us script rewrite), Justin's lawyer Bryan Freedman revealed that Taylor could be deposed in their March 2026 trial. And after all those Blake Lively and Taylor Swift feud rumors, this an update I wasn't expecting.

Here's everything we know about Taylor Swift's potential involvement in Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's It Ends With Us legal battle.

Taylor Swift could "provide evidence" in the Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively trial.

While on TMZ's Two Angry Men podcast on February 5, Bryan Freedman said that Taylor Swift could be deposed, or called to testify (often in writing) in the case between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively.

"I don’t know that we’re going to depose Taylor Swift. I think that that’s going to be probably a game time decision. I don’t know that that decision has been made,” he says. “But, I can tell you this, anyone that reasonably has information that can provide evidence in this case is going to be deposed.”

After the meeting between the four stars, Blake allegedly texted Justin about why she had called on Ryan and Taylor in the first place. "If you ever get around to watching Game of Thrones, you'll appreciate that I'm Khaleesi, and like her, I happen to have a few dragons," Justin claims she said. "For better or worse, but usually for better. Because my dragons also protect those I fight for. So really we all benefit from those gorgeous monsters of mine. you will too, I can promise you."

The conversation comes after Justin Baldoni published two years' worth of It Ends With Us messages on his website TheLawsuitInfo.com — and Blake and Ryan moved to dismiss Jusin's original lawsuit.

And on February 3, the costars' judge warned their lawyers to calm their publicity war down so they don't sway the jury. Judge Lewis Liman warned Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni's legal teams to "rein in the public relations war outside the courtroom," according to People, and to avoid saying anything with a "substantial likelihood" of leading the jury to have a bias one way or the other.

There's still an entire year before we'll see these two in court, and the fact Blake Lively just got sued again proves anything can happen.

Read up on why, for some reason, Blake Lively's Controversial It Ends With Us Costumes Cost Over Half A Million Dollars.

The age-old question of fashion is and always will be: what’s in right now? Living in the digital age of TikTok and Instagram, the rate at which the trend cycle fluctuates is vicious and it can be difficult to keep up. Not to mention, the terminology behind trends in a “core” obsessed world is enough to make your head spin; in the last year alone we experienced ballet-core, cowgirl-core, and even… tomato girl-core.

Instead of trying to decode what's currently “in” and what is “out” in the fashion space ATM, we tapped a few expert stylists who have a strong knack for trend forecasting. Below you can find expert commentary from both Liz Teich, better known as @thenewyorkstylist on Instagram (whose following boasts close to half a million thanks to her skillful styling suggestions); and Style Made Simple’s founder and stylist, NYC-based Alison Berlin.

Read on to uncover which fashion trends are outdated, and the best ways to replace them in a manner that feels more current.

Stop Wearing Skinny Jeans, Start Wearing Slim Leg Jeans

Image via Sezane

“You may already be aware, but there are many who have had a hard time letting [skinny jeans] go,” shared Berlin. However, she kindly made an exception and mentioned that you can “hang on to a favorite pair for over-the-knee boots in the winter but otherwise, it's time to switch to wider leg styles. This can range based on your comfort level and height, but anything from a proper straight leg (for an easy transition) to a full wide leg will do!” Liz Teich offered Sezane’s Brut Sexy jeans as a great stepping stone after the skinny jean addiction that we all faced, whether we’re ready to admit it or not.

Stop Wearing Barbie Pink, Start Wearing Icy Blue

Image via GAP

Barbie Pink had its moment allll year long in 2023, and we’ve just about had enough. Teich explained that “Barbie pink feels a bit costume-y but icy blue feels like luxury and less saccharine.” To easily incorporate this color into upcoming outfits, Liz suggested utilizing chambray pieces that you likely already have in your closet.

Stop Wearing Cut-Off Shorts, Start Wearing Bermuda Shorts

Image via Argent

Even if they’ve been with you through it all, it’s time to retire your super short denim cut-off shorts. Instead, Teich suggests opting for a more sophisticated, lengthier short, such as Argent’s suiting shorts. The tailored look is super chic and versatile, so you can dress them up or down!

Stop Wearing Cross-body Bags, Start Wearing Practical, Roomy Handbags

“I'm not giving [the cross-body bag] up or suggesting it's not wearable given its game-changing utility,” Berlin shared with reassurance, “but the bags to invest in now are soft, larger-scale totes.” Teich chimed in with product suggestions including Songmont's Drippy Tote Bag and Paris64’s Tote, but Quince also makes a high quality tote while still hovering at an affordable price point.

Stop wearing Dad Sneakers, Start Wearing Sleek And Colorful Sneakers

Image via Adidas

Chunky, solid, minimalist sneakers that resemble ‘dad shoes’ “dominated for quite some time,” says Berlin. She continued to mention an alternative in sneakers with color and detail for a fresh reset. To achieve this look, Liz Teich suggested either Adidas Sambas or Gazelles, and I’m particularly swooning over these retro silver Nike sneakers that are less than $100 at DSW.

Stop Wearing Ankle Boots, Start Wearing Something New

Image via Rothy's

Alison from Style Made Simple had no problem admitting that ankle boots can and should be a staple for all of us, “but it's time to put them away in favor of branching out into new territory,” she offered. “Flats like Mary Janes and ballet styles are trending, as are loafers.” Take advantage of upcoming warmer weather and try out flats this spring. Our favorites are from Rothy’s because their shoes are designed to be machine-washed again and again to keep them looking fresh and feeling clean. As for a classic pair of loafers, we love the iconic silhouette of this tasseled pair from Cole Haan.

Stop Wearing Midi Skirts, Start Wearing Extreme Length Skirts

Image via Free People

It’s time to retire the midi skirt and graphic tee combo this spring and opt for something a bit more dramatic and current. “You should be thinking in extremes in terms of skirts — minis or maxis,” shared Alison Berlin. In the off chance of your mini skirt riding up is a deep seeded fear of yours like it is for me, this skort is the perfect solution and a standing staple piece in my closet; the built-in shorts are not visible at all, so it still gives the illusion of being a micro mini skirt. However, if maxi skirts fit your vibe better, we love this flowy, bohemian option from Free People.

It’s always exciting when we’ve got a menu leak on our hands! Courtesy of foodie @markie_devo, speculation around the Dunkin’ spring menu has begun. Per the rumors, Dunkin’ could be launching 3 new savory snacks alongside 1 perfectly nutty coffee beverage and (drumroll, please!) potentially bringing back the beloved Dunkalatte.

The chain just dropped their adorable (and delicious) Valentine's Day menu with plenty of themed donuts for customers to munch on. We’re simply stoked to see what’s coming next!

Keep scrolling for everything we know about the Dunkin’ spring menu for 2025!

Drinks On The Rumored Dunkin' Spring Menu

Dunkin'

Dunkalatte

The Dunkalatte first came to menus last fall. Per Dunkin', it's "sweet, creamy, and unlike anything else," combining rich espresso with smooth coffee milk for an extra boost. It quickly gained popularity amongst Dunkin' fans, but was seemingly discontinued not even a month after its initial launch.

But now, there's a reason to celebrate – the Dunkin' spring menu rumors say that the Dunkalatte may return on March 5! You'll allegedly be able to order it hot or iced, too.

Dunkin'

Pistachio Coffee

It's been a while since Dunkin' served up something pistachio-flavored. Finally, per the menu leak, the Pistachio Coffee could be making its grand debut on March 5. Said to be available hot or iced, it's a simple brewed coffee made with pistachio swirl and cream.

We're super excited to try this Dunkin' pistachio offering since we already adore Starbucks' Pistachio Latte!

Food On The Rumored Dunkin' Spring Menu

Dunkin'

NEW! Ham & Cheese Pretzel Sliders

Dunkin's launched several pretzel snacks throughout the years, like the Pretzel Roll Chicken Sandwich, the Pretzel Twist, and the Pretzel Croissant Breakfast Sandwich, but we've never seen anything like these slider-sized bites.

Made with King's Hawaiian pretzel buns, the rumored Ham & Cheese Pretzel Sliders look like an ahh-mazing eat for breakfast and beyond!

Dunkin'

Chicken Bacon Croissant Stuffer

The menu leak also speculates that the Chicken Bacon Croissant Stuffer will return to Dunkin' on March 5. Stuffed with the ideal amount of meat and cheese, this snack is a reliable pick-me-up in the morning.

Dunkin'

Sweet Black Pepper Snackin' Bacon

The Sweet Black Pepper Snackin' Bacon is also rumored to come back to the Dunkin' spring menu on March 5. These strips feature a pleasant balance of sweet and savory!

More Dunkin' Spring Menu Items – To Drop April 2025!

@markie_devo

NEW! Cotton Candy Donut

There's a whole other half of the Dunkin' spring menu that's rumored to drop on April 2! The first item is the all-new Cotton Candy Donut, which appears to be stuffed with some sort of sweet filling and topped with a combo of pink icing and blue sprinkles.

Dunkin'

NEW! Blueberry Sprinkled Munchkins

Some Blueberry Sprinkled Munchkins will also allegedly join the Dunkin' spring menu on April 2.

@markie_devo

NEW! Spring Munchkins Buckets

Per the menu leak, Dunkin's springtime Munchkins flavors will be available in these adorable buckets. The chain's offered Munchkins Buckets before, most notably around Halloween 2024, where you could carry out a 50-count of donut holes in 'em.

What People Are Saying About The Dunkin' Spring Menu

Foodie @markie_devo first shared the Dunkin' spring menu leak with their Instagram followers on February 5. A majority of the comments were positive, and most people seemed to be super excited for the new rumored lineup.

"I cannot wait for the Dunkalatte to be back!!" someone commented. "It’s delicious. 😋"

"The Dunkalatte is the best thing they’ve ever came out with," another person wrote.

"Pistachio finally omggg😍," one more commenter said.

"In between The Cotton Candy Donut, The Dunkalatte, and The Pistachio Iced Coffee, idk which one I am going to be more addicted to soo yummy I can’t wait 🤤," another person said.
