This Infographic Tells You When to Mail Greeting Cards for Every Major Holiday

The post office is a place you think of… well, never. But when the holidays hit, gift sending and ho, ho, hellos via a card are on the mind. But tbh, surviving Black Friday and figuring out what to buy for Aunt Rhonda and your teenage bro are enough. Don’t waste any brain space deciphering when those packages and cards need to hit the mailbox. Thoughtfulness pros Punkpost and Treated have created a timeline for the winter holidays and beyond (we’re looking at you, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day!). Before you add all those deadlines to your Gcals — check out our killer infographic with all the dates below — here are a couple of rules to follow for snail mailing during the most wonderful time of the year:

2. Keep them separated: Send personal holiday cards to homes – not offices. Your personal holiday should be pleasure, not business, baby. If you’re sending a business-related holiday card, keep it in the office and don’t send a family photo.

3. Include a return addy: You just may get a fruit cake or some blintzes back in the mail. WIN.

4. Get addresses ASAP: Know people? Address gathering is a process. Give yourself at least a week to get them… better yet, start now.

5. Order your postage online. The post office is a madhouse during the holidays. Save yourself from going postal. Get those stamps delivered to your door.

6. Outsource: If you can’t handle mailing yourself, there’s always an app (or seven) for that.

By now, you’re probably DYING to hang this stunner infographic on your wall. Download it here, fire up that printer and pat yourself on the back for being so damn organized. If you’re just too overwhelmed to do any holiday shopping or mailing of any sort, Treated and Punkpost got your back.

While in America we may toast to the new year with Champagne and eat black-eyed peas for good luck, those who celebrate the Lunar New Year have a host of food traditions that symbolize wealth, health, and family unity. At a Lunar New Year celebration dinner at Hakkasan in San Francisco hosted by Tiger Beer, we learned about the eight items that have been served each year on the Lunar Near Year for centuries. Why eight? In Chinese, the number eight (huat), translates to “get wealthy.”

Scroll to see the 8 lucky Lunar New Year foods you should eat this year!

China Sichuan Food

1. Dumplings

Steamed dumplings are shaped like the ancient Chinese gold currency, called ingot, and represent wealth. According to legend, the number of dumplings you eat during the new year corresponds to the amount of money you’ll make that year. That’s reason enough to eat an extra dumpling (or five). 2. Whole Steamed Fish

Yu means both fish and prosperity in Chinese. Dining on a whole fish during the Lunar New Year embodies family unity. (via The Woks of Life)

3. Longevity Noodles

Here’s your reason to slurp noodles and not break them — the longer the noodles, the longer the life of the person who consumes them, legend has it. If you can, splurge on Longevity Noodles, a large portion of noodles that contains just one long strand that is not cut, which is why it tends to be on the pricier side. (via Woks of Life)

The Hong Kong Cookery

4. Rice

The stickiness of steamed jasmine rice is another symbol of a family “sticking” together. Some families celebrate with an “Eight Treasures Rice Pudding,” a stunning rice dessert that stars glutinous rice and eight toppings: candied lotus, green raisins, pine nuts, black raisins, dried dates, dried wolfberries, dried apricots, and red maraschino cherries (for luck!). Dumpling Sisters

5. Garlic

The word for garlic in Chinese is suan, which translates to “counting.” Tradition has it that those who celebrate the Lunar New Year eat lots of garlic to count all of the money they will make in the new year. It’s found in almost every dish, including stir-fried prawns. (via Dumpling Sisters)

6. Red Foods

Red is the prominent color used in the Lunar New Year and is found in the decor, food, and most notably, the red envelopes filled with money gifted to loved ones during this time. The color red is associated with good luck, fortune, and joy. A table during the Lunar New Year will be filled with red foods like crab, peking duck, shrimp, barbecue pork, and more. 7. Glutinous Rice Balls

Dinner ends with sweet, round glutinous rice balls filled with red bean paste. The round shape supposedly indicates a smooth year ahead, family reunion, and good luck! (via Chinese Healthy Cooking)

8. Mandarin Oranges

The official fruit of the new year, mandarin oranges, ju in Chinese, sounds like the word for lucky, ji. They are abundantly gifted throughout the New Year celebration.

Did Christian McCaffrey share his own announcement?

It doesn't look like he personally posted this adorable reel of he and Olivia's baby news, but we still think he deserves a "Husband of the Year" award for letting it be on his Instagram page. We're not setting the bar low; we just think it's admirable when partners are equally excited about expanding their families!

Have Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey shared a due date?

Olivia and Christian haven't shared a due date just yet, but it's highly likely their sweet baby will be born this year!

How long have she and Christian McCaffrey been married?

Olivia and Christian traded "I Dos" June 29, 2024 according to Vogue. They had a beautiful New England wedding at Ocean house and were surrounded by the love of the people closest to them. Of a funny moment involving Christian during their nuptials, Olivia gushed how much she loved his excitement. "As a bride, there’s no better feeling than your husband not being able to wait a second longer to marry you."

Prior to getting married, the couple's relationship was the result of a "blind date" orchestrated by someone they knew. Olivia said things went so well that they were basically "inseparable" from that point forward!

Yellowstone captured the hearts of millions of viewers ever since the Taylor Sheridan show debuted on Paramount in 2018. The hit drama follows the Dutton family as they fight to protect their sprawling Montana ranch from land developers, political forces, and internal family struggles.

The cast features certain big names like Kevin Costner, who won the Gloden Globe for best performance by an actor in a television series drama in 2023, as well as some relatively new stars.

If you can't get enough of Yellowstone, here's where else you can watch your favorite cast members on the big screen.

Kevin Costner

Starring as John Dutton, the powerful patriarch of the Dutton family, Kevin Costner is the largest star in the series. But his acting career actually started back in 1981, and since securing two Academy Awards for Dances With Wolves in 1991, he's accumulated an impressive resume.

He's best known for playing iconic characters like Ray Kinsella in Field of Dreams, Crash Davis in Bull Durham, and Frank Framer in The Bodyguard. Additionally, he delivered a standout performance as Sonny Weaver Jr. in Draft Day, Larry Bloom in Molly's Game, and Al Harrison in Hidden Figures.

Paramout

Kelly Reilly

Prior to taking on the fierce role of Beth Dutton in Yellowstone, Kelly Reilly had already built a lofty film and television career. She acted in Pride & Prejudice, Citizen Gangster, and Eden Lake, as well as starred as Mary in Sherlock Holmes and its sequel.

On television, she's showcased her talent in a range of roles, from the crime drama Above Suspicion to the psychological medical series Black Box.

Alec Baldwin's movie Rust is finally on its way. The western was in production in New Mexico in 2021 when a prop gun loaded with blanks as well as a live round went off, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, hitting writer-director Joel Souza, and resulting in more than one case of involuntary manslaughter. But four years later, the new movie is now entering the final stages of post-production.

Here's the first look at Alec Baldwin's Rust — and everything you need to know about the movie, coming in 2025.

'Rust' is a gritty family drama that connects to the real world.

The movie's plot feels a bit foreboding and eerie, as it follows a boy named Lucas, who's facing the gallows after he accidentally shoots and kills a man. When his grandfather breaks him out, the two set off on a journey of survival. It definitely sounds like it has the gritty edge of Clint Eastwood's movies, with the beating heart we love to see at the center of 1923.

Rust re-entered production in 2023, and while they attempted to keep as much of Hutchins' work as possible, the movie had to reshoot some scenes when actor Jensen Ackles didn't return. (His role was recast with Josh Hopkins).

While Joel Souza doesn't “expect people to necessarily all agree or understand" with the decision to complete the movie, he tellsVanity Fair that "every fiber of my being just tells me that I can’t let that disappear. It’s not that we’re trying to exploit anything. I want to share her work with the world. I want people to see what she was capable of.”

And in addition to Alec Baldwin, the 'Rust' cast is spectacular.

The Rust cast includes some amazing actors in addition to leading actor Alec Baldwin. Here's a breakdown of who we'll see in the movie:

  • Alec Baldwin stars as Harland Rust, Lucas' outlaw grandfather who breaks him out of jail.
  • Patrick Scott McDermott plays Lucas Hollister, who's left in charge of his brother Jacob after the death of their parents.
  • Josh Hopkins stars as Wood Helm, a U.S. Marshal, who's hunting Lucas.
  • Frances Fisher plays Evelyn Bassett, Lucas and Jacob's aunt who attempts to save Lucas from hanging.
  • Easton Malcolm plays Jacob.
  • Tyler W. Gaisford stars as Dutch Henry Tibbs, part of Wood's hunting party.
  • Jake Busey stars as Drum Parker, another member of Wood's hunting party.
  • Travis Fimmel plays Preacher, a bounty hunter who got his nickname thanks to his familiarity with the Bible.

Here's when you can watch 'Rust.'

We don't have an official update on the Rust release date yet, but VF reports "moviegoers should expect to see it sometime in the months ahead."
