You’ll Totally Agree With Amy Schumer’s Angry Message to Glamour
We’re all about being body-positive and adore figures of all shapes and sizes. We’re sure Amy Schumer (who is so not into “putting women against each other”) feels the same way. But that doesn’t mean that she’s thrilled that Glamour magazine has included her in their special plus-size issue.
Apparently done without her knowledge or consent, the comedic actress, who currently moves between a size 6 and a size 8, is objecting to the idea that she fits the category.
Posting a pic on her Instagram account of the mag’s cover with her name on it along with other industry-leading ladies like Melissa McCarthy, Adele and Ashley Graham, Amy said, “I think there’s nothing wrong with being plus size. Beautiful healthy women. Plus size is considered size 16 in America. I go between a size 6 and an 8. @glamourmag put me in their plus size only issue without asking or letting me know and it doesn’t feel right to me.”
She added, “Young girls seeing my body type thinking that is plus size? What are your thoughts? Mine are not cool glamour not glamourous.”
