Why Amy Schumer’s Decision to Not Bring Her Boyfriend Kind of Rules
While we were all pretty pumped to see Amy Schumer and new boyfriend Ben Hanisch on the Golden Globes red carpet tonight, or, at the very least, with BFF Jennifer Lawrence, it was sister and creative partner (also a writer on her show Inside Amy Schumer) Kim Caramele that the Trainwreck comedian decided to bring as her date.
With People and pretty much every other outlet, and even Amy herself reporting or suggesting that Ben Hanisch would be in attendance to cheer his leading lady on, Schumer decided to make it a girls’ night out with her sis proudly at her side — as the pair usually do on award nights. As much as we’re cheering for Amy’s love life, we’re happy to see that she and Kim are keeping the tradition of being award show dates alive. Boyfriends are great and all, but your girls are your girls.
The sisters looked effortlessly elegant, Schumer in an off-the-shoulder colorblocked black and white Prabal Gurung piece, and Caramele in a sleeveless floral number with matching clutch.
