Angelina Jolie Named Face of Brand-New Fragrance
Angelina Jolie has a fancy new title to add to her already impressive resume. Guerlain Parfumeur, one of the oldest French beauty brands, just announced that the mother of six will be the face of its new fragrance for women.
The partnership is a natural fit, according to Guerlain, which also produces the popular fragrance Shalimar. Angelina’s collaboration with the company started when she directed her first film, And They Killed My Father, in Cambodia back in December 2015. Her relationship with Guerlain, however, goes back even further to the star’s childhood memory of her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, and her fondness for Guerlain powder.
“We create perfumes for the women we admire,” Guerlain said in a press release. The company’s master perfumer, Thierry Wasser, took inspiration from the actress to create a scent that taps into the “notes of a woman.” Think about what makes you tick, “the choices, emotions, and dreams that embody modern femininity.” That’s what the perfume is said to evoke.
Always the picture of the perfect humanitarian, Angelina will donate her salary from Guerlain to charity.
