Double Digit
Digit is back, but this time in college! After her dabble into young adult books, Monaghan took to writing a collection of essays on motherhood with this incredibly witty and vulnerable book. She gets incredibly truthful in such a charming and comedic way when she depicts the ups and downs of life with a family. This is a fun departure from her previous works that you will love, especially if you have a family as well!
Nora Goes Off Script
Finally, let's get into Annabel's romcoms, which she's mostly known for today. She has brilliant plots filled with stories that tell so much more than romance. While Monaghan's books feel like an escape from real life, they also depict characters that you feel like you would know in the real world from how relatable and authentically they're written.
Nora Goes Off Script is about an author, Nora, who writes romance like nobody's business. She knows how it works, and writes it well. Summer Romance (June 4)
Another new beach read for the summer? Count us in! Monaghan's newest release comes out June 4th, and we're counting down the hours until we can read it!
This new book will follow the story of Ali who is a professional organizer but does not have her life together. She's lost her mom, her husband left her, and she doesn't know what her future will look like when it comes to men. That is, until her dog finds one for her by peeing on him. Ethan doesn't seem bothered by this, and honestly seems intrigued by her, and perhaps wanting to know more. Ali is a single mom and doesn't need more unorganized mess in her life, but who's to say she can't have a little fun for the summer, at least?
One of my favorite authors, Abby Jimenez, rated it a 5 stars, so I know it must be the book of the summer!
