Follow 3 Easy Steps and Make This Anthro-Inspired Jewelry Stand
It’s no secret that here at Brit + Co, our favorite way to accessorize is with jewelry. And since we’re always on the hunt for new sparkly pieces to wear, from handmade rope necklaces to gemstone rings, we’re also constantly looking for cute and clever ways to organize our treasured bling. So today we’re getting inspired by this Anthropologie Metronome Jewelry Stand ($28) to create a gorgeous metallic display in just three steps ;)
Materials and Tools:
- bookend
- candle dish
- thick straws or metal pipes
- hot glue gun + glue
- gold spray paint
Instructions:
1. Spray paint the bookend, candle dish, and straws, and let them dry.
2. Use the glue gun to glue the straws to the top part of the bookend, as shown below.
3. Glue the candle dish to the back of the bookend and let it cool.
After protecting your surface, spray paint your bookend. Shake it for a while and paint a thin layer with your gold shade. Let dry and repeat with a second coat if you need to. Next paint the candle dish and straws (or even better, copper pipes) as well.
Use the glue gun to adhere the straws to the top part of the bookend, as shown in the picture above.
We wanted to add a place to store rings and earrings, so we glued a candle dish to the back of the bookend. Once everything is completely dried, you’re ready to display your jewelry pieces!
Doesn’t this stand add some serious boutique vibes to your vanity?
