Start Your Day With Apple Cheddar Waffles
There’s nothing better than waffles, right? We could eat ’em for every meal of the day. But sometimes, you need to kick your plain buttermilk waffles up a notch. The solution? Just add CHEESE. We teamed up with LAY’S® Wavy to create this savory breakfast recipe inspired by their Cheddar Potato Chips.

Ingredients:
– 1/2 cup LAY’S® Wavy Cheddar Potato Chips, crushed
– 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon baking powder
– 1 1/3 cups buttermilk
– 2 eggs
– 1/4 cup salted butter, melted
– 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
– 1 granny smith apple, thinly sliced
– maple syrup
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, combine flour and baking powder. In another bowl, mix together buttermilk and eggs. Fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Add butter, cheese and crushed chips. Stir to combine.
2. Spoon batter into waffle iron. Cook until golden brown. Top waffle with apple slices and syrup.
