Ariana Grande and James Corden Freaking Out in a Haunted Escape Room Is the Perfect Halloween Treat
Ariana Grande has made severalappearances on The Late Late Show With James Corden in recent weeks, and during her latest stint, she and Corden got into the Halloween spirit by making their way through a haunted escape room.
“I love being scared. I think it’s so much fun,” Grande (perhaps regrettably) told Corden as they drove around after filming their Carpool Karaoke segment back in August. “I go to haunted houses and stuff. Usually, escape rooms aren’t that scary. But I do love escape rooms. We should do one!”
Cut to: the pair inside the very dark and very creepy haunted 60OUT Escape Room in LA. Grande immediately felt betrayed. “You told me this was an escape room, not hell!” she joked as Corden giggled nervously.
After some lights came on to help them solve the first room, the duo entered a horror-movie version of a kids’ room, complete with messy bunk beds — and a girl dressed like a character from The Ring hiding in the blankets. Grande screamed an expletive before they got to work figuring out how to move onto the next room.
Eventually, they solved the final puzzle — and then Grande immediately tripped over another one of the jump-scare actors, finally revealing how she got that mysterious hand injury she showed off after filming the segment over the summer.
“I’ve done like 300 escape rooms,” Grande said when they were safely back in the car afterward. “That’s not an escape room. That’s one of the seven gates to hell!”
