Ashley Graham Perfectly Responds to Haters About Working Out
Ashley Graham has always been a champion of body diversity, whether it’s on the runway or sweating it out at the gym. But online haters are always firing off comments about her fitness ‘grams, and she’s sick of the endless criticism about her body. The supermodel clapped back on IG, and we’re cheering.
Graham says via Instagram that every time she posts a workout video to social media, she receives messages telling her she “shouldn’t lose too much weight,” or that she’ll “never be skinny,” so she should “stop trying.” She flawlessly set the record straight, revealing that she works out for so many reasons, none of which have anything to do with losing weight.
She says, “Just for the record – I workout to: stay healthy, feel good, get rid of jet lag, clear my head, show big girls we can move like the rest of ’em, stay flexible and strong, have more energy. I don’t workout to lose weight or my curves, because I love the skin I’m in.”

Graham, of course, is right. There are so many benefits to working out, and not everyone is trying to work out to lose weight or even change their bodies in any way. Plenty of people exercise because it feels good to move their body, gives them energy, and helps them stay strong and feel powerful.
Graham is all about embracing her perceived “flaws,” showing off all of the things that make her unique, and that’s what we love about her. Haters, you can take a hike.
