How to Steal the Look of Ayesha Curry’s Playful-Meets-Deco Nursery
Parenting is full of challenges, but one of the first ones to arise happens before baby is even born: decorating the nursery. If anyone has gotten it down to a science, it’s Ayesha Curry. The superstar foodie and mom of three showed off her nursery remodel recently, and we have to admit, we’re obsessed. While the vibe is definitely playful and cute, it’s also remarkably sophisticated with plenty of adult-approved finishes that will live on long after the crib has been taken down. But that’s no surprise considering her source: Pottery Barn Modern Baby.
Pottery Barn’s latest collection offers five distinct styles: Glam Modern, Hip Modern, Natural Modern, Casual Modern, and Minimal Modern. Curry went off-book and decided to personalize baby Canon’s room even further by combining elements from multiple style families for a totally enviable mix. The new mom chose the Glam collection’s Black Art Deco Crib ($999) and then echoed the geometric motif by peppering in triangle-print pieces like the Izzy Rug ($399+) from the Hip Modern collection.
The jewel-tone paint color Curry chose for the space is very much in vogue, but the triangle-print wallpaper on the adjacent walls keeps it feeling youthful and unfussy. We love how this graphic pop ties the entire space together seamlessly.
The luxe-looking Velvet Glider and Ottoman ($899) provide the perfect blank slate for accessorizing with colorful pillows and throws. And that marble-and-brass side table would look at home anywhere (like our living rooms… hint, hint).
Of course, no design-minded baby’s room is complete without an oversized print, and we love the sweet sentiment of the one Curry chose! Truth be told, this nursery is so well styled that we might just have to buy some of these pieces for ourselves.
