“Bachelor” Star Raven Gates Reveals When She Knew Adam Gottschalk Was a Keeper
Bachelor in Paradise has had a pretty good track record of happy couples. This year alone, Taylor Nolan and Derek Peth got engaged, and Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert and Carly Waddell and Evan Bass joined (or are about to join!) the Bachelor Nation baby club. Now, Raven Gates has revealed that things between her and season four costar Adam Gottschalk are going pretty perfectly too.
“I knew I was gonna keep Adam around the first weekend we spent together outside of paradise,” the clothing boutique owner captioned an Instagram pic of the pair indulging in some cute PDA. “We met in Memphis and had a blast that weekend…and the morning after a night of dinner, drinking, and dancing, Adam had put my phone on the charger, left a glass of water by my bed, food, and an Advil (hah!).”
The cute gesture made an immediate impression on Gates, who immediately texted her mom and her childhood bestie to gush about Gottschalk’s actions.
“‘Y’all, I didn’t know there were boys that did these things?'” she recalls texting. “I couldn’t believe he thought about me when I wasn’t even thinking about myself. And I laughed bc I realized how ridiculous I was to [have] settled for anything less than Adam before…and that an Advil, a phone charger, a banana, and a glass of water was so impressive to me.” That last line was, naturally, punctuated with the cry-laughing emoji.

And Gottschalk’s thoughtfulness didn’t stop there — Gates said that even after the memorable weekend was over, he still managed to make her feel like she was taken care of.
“Later after dropping him off at the airport, Adam had left a note in my car telling me he appreciated ME,” she revealed. “Again, I just couldn’t believe how sweet, kind hearted, and loving he was. That was the first time in a long time I felt safe enough to fall in love.”
It definitely sounds like these two found something special in Paradise — and beyond.
“I hope everyone finds an Adam,” Gates gushed.
