‘Bachelor Winter Games’ Stars Clare Crawley and Benoit Beauséjour-Savard Split
Two months after getting engaged on the Bachelor Winter Games finale special, Clare Crawley and Benoit Beauséjour-Savard have announced that they have gone their separate ways.
“A lot of you have been asking about our relationship since the show, and we wanted to thank you all for the love and respect as we navigated it in real life off camera. [H]owever, having a public engagement on TV kind of changes that,” the pair shared on Instagram. “It’s with a heavy heart that we have mutually decided to end our relationship. We think the world of each other, and we were both hoping we could make this work. I’m sorry that this may not be what you want to hear, but it’s our truth.”
The Team USA (Crawley) and Team Canada (Beauséjour-Savard) stars hit it off early on the Olympics-themed Bachelor spinoff, but Beauséjour-Savard left when Crawley decided to pursue a relationship with Christian Rauch instead. They reconnected after filming, and Beauséjour-Savard surprised everyone when he got down on one knee during the finale reunion special.
“Just know there are no negative feelings here, we are simply two people who believed in love, and were open enough to give it a chance,” their joint statement continued. They also said that despite things not working out, they still care for each other very deeply. “Thank you for your understanding and love while we have shared our vulnerability with the world.”
Bachelor Winter Games also saw Dean Unglert and Lesley Murphy happily pair up, as well as Ashley Iaconetti and Kevin Wendt, though they have since split.
