Get the Dessert Party Started With Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies

Guys, bacon is the best. Crispy, salty, fatty… what more is there to say? We wish we could eat it for every meal of the day (don’t judge!). Cookies are ALSO the best… so we decided to combine two of our favorite things and mix up a batch of outrageous Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookies! Pro tip: These are the perfect treat to whip up for Dad on Father’s Day (or any day). Read on for the recipe!

Ingredients:

bacon1

— 1 pound thick-cut bacon

— brown sugar

— cayenne pepper

— black pepper

— 2 sticks salted butter

— 1 cup brown sugar

— 3/4 cup granulated sugar

— 2 eggs

— 2 teaspoons vanilla

— 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

— 1 teaspoon baking soda

— 2 cups bittersweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Lay the bacon on the parchment in a single layer. Sprinkle with brown sugar, cayenne pepper and black pepper. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden and crispy. Remove from the oven and let cool. Chop bacon into small pieces and set aside.

2. Lower the oven temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Beat butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar in a mixer until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and stir in chocolate chips. Add bacon!

3. Scoop cookie dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown. Enjoy!
