Kendall Jenner Announced the Next H&M Designer Collab You’ll Be Obsessed With
The biggest fashion moment at last night’s Billboard Music Awards didn’t happen on the red carpet (it even topped all of the leather and cutouts in Taylor Swift’s brand-new Bad Blood music video). It all went down on Instagram, when supermodel Kendall Jenner’s selfie slyly spilled the beans that H&M’s next designer collaboration would be with none other than Kardashian family fave Balmain.
Kendall tagged both the French design house + the Swedish fast-fashion retailer in the caption of the square she shared with Balmain Creative Director Olivier Rousteing and fellow model Jourdan Dunn. Rousteing later confirmed that the tip was indeed the truth as the trio strutted arm-in-arm down the BBMAs red carpet. That’s when things got even better; turns out Kendall and Jourdan were both wearing pieces from the collection. If the sneak peek was any indication, we can expect Balmain’s signature 3D embellishments, intricate cutouts and loads of body-con silhouettes from the budget-friendly collab, which hits stores November 5.
In a statement on the Balmain x H&M landing page, Rousteing says “I want to talk to my generation: this is my main aim as a designer. H&M allows me the unique possibility of bringing everyone into the world of Balmain get a piece of the dream and create a global #HMBalmaination: a movement of togetherness, fueled on a hashtag. The collaboration felt extremely natural to me: H&M is a brand that everybody connects to. It calls for unity, and I am all for it.” Fashion girls, brace yourselves for the frenzy of this full-on Kardashian-fueled style makeover.
