Brisket usually cooks at around 250 degrees at one hour per pound. We used a 2.2 lb beef brisket and cooked it for 2 hours and 45 minutes.
Start by mixing the spices together to create the dry rub.
Next rub the spices all over the meat. Tightly wrap it in foil. This can be done the night before and the brisket can be stored in the fridge. Once you are ready to cook, place the foil wrapped brisket in a baking dish. Bake at 250 degrees for one hour per pound.
Unwrap the meat and slice. Make sure it is cooked thoroughly.
Next start building your brisket three ways!
