See This Royal Bride’s *TWO* Stunning Wedding Gowns
When it comes to your wedding dress, making a choice can seem impossible. Really, how does one choose between mermaid or ballgown? Traditional or non-traditional? Boatneck or bateau? Royal bride of the year, Beatrice Borromeo went non-traditional for her civil wedding to Monaco’s royal Pierre Casiraghi a little while back in a gorgeous pink and gold Valentino dress and got to switch it up for wedding #2 this weekend. In a religious wedding ceremony on Saturday, the new bride seemed to have trouble making choosing just one dress… so she wore TWO stunning gowns by Armani.
For the ceremony, the bride went very royal wedding traditional with a custom long-sleeved, ivory lace gown by Armani Privé that was reminiscent of grandmother-in-law Grace Kelly’s own dress to Prince Ranier III in the 1956. Armani posted this pic on their Instagram account of the newlyweds making their way down the aisle during their flower-drenched ceremony in northern Italy.
For years the rise of the reception dress has made saying yes to a dress a little easier for brides who want to have their cake and eat it too (or, go traditional for their walk down the aisle and switch to short ‘n’ sassy on the dance floor). The Italian heiress made a costume change for her reception and went all old Hollywood with her braided updo and looong trailing shoulder detail. There’s something extremely simple yet timeless about this gown. Rather than lots of beading or lace, it’s the sweeping train that takes centerstage here. This silk tulle gown was another bespoke creation by Armani Privé.
While you may not have the budget for two Armani dresses, savvy shoppers and indecisive brides alike can cop the look with a ceremony and reception dress that compliment your unique style(s).
