Bachelor Nation is taking sides.

Here’s Why ‘Bachelor’ Contestants Bekah Martinez and Raven Gates Are Feuding on Twitter

Here’s Why ‘Bachelor’ Contestants Bekah Martinez and Raven Gates Are Feuding on Twitter

Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette has not gone without its controversies, most notably involving contestants Garrett Yrigoyen, Lincoln Adim, and Colton Underwood. It’s the latter that’s causing drama offscreen now as the franchise’s former stars take sides over the ex shocker that was revealed on last week’s episode.

Bekah Martinez, who competed against Kufrin for the affections of Arie Luyendyk on season 22 of The Bachelor, took to Twitter Friday to sound off against Underwood and her former co-star, Tia Booth, after they copped to being involved prior to appearing on Kufrin’s season of the show.

Posting a photo of the two rumored lovebirds from the set of Bachelor in Paradise, where they’re currently filming, Martinez wrote, “Yeah Becca, we’re both 100 percent over each other! We’re TOTALLY not planning on getting back together/probably engaged the minute we’re in Paradise (we’re gonna get so many followers from this manufactured narrative.”

BACHELOR IN PARADISE – “Episode 405A” – As the highly anticipated and explosive season finale of “Bachelor in Paradise” begins, airing MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 11 (8:00-10:01 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network, the only thing our couples know is that this is their last day in Paradise… unless, as host Chris Harrison explains, they decide, after some tough conversations, that the potential for love in their relationship is real enough that they want one more date in Paradise. The tweet didn’t sit well with season 21 Bachelor alum Raven Gates, who clapped back with a now-deleted tweet referencing Martinez and Booth’s recent appearance on Kufrin’s season. “Yeah, were totally 100% friends with each other!” she wrote. “We’re TOTALLY not planning on getting back together JUST to be on your season / sitting here playing friends and then talk s—t on Twitter (we’re gonna get so many followers from this manufactured narrative LOL!).”

She continued on to add, “Make sure you follow @whats_ur_sign so she can get those followers so she can stop sh*t talking her friends… like Tia!! And Becca!! Come on now, hurry up!”

With that, the two women became involved in a heated exchange, with Martinez, 23, maintaining her stance that both Underwood and Booth appeared to be playing Kufrin and Gates, 26, questioning the motives for the attack, as Martinez and Booth had actually called a truce prior to Martinez’s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

“Have you spoken to Tia since she threw you under the school bus?” Kimmel asked his guest, to which she replied, “Against my will.”

Gates eventually blocked Martinez, explaining that while she stood by her words, she thought the argument was “a waste of space.” She also left fans with one final Tweet, saying, “Just so you guys know, Bekah tweeted something rude and unnecessary to create drama and I want to stick up for my friend who can’t respond right now. I decided to delete the tweets and I blocked her because I don’t want to keep engaging with someone who will continuously drag her “friends.”

Martinez also had some final thoughts, tweeting out the following.
