Bella Hadid Is Struggling With This Scary and Chronic Condition
Bella Hadid’s life may seem super luxe and all glam while she walks the runways and attends the hottest industry events. But what seems like fab fun for us is actually work for the 20-year-old, and it turns out that the busy schedule has been taking a toll on the model. Her mother has just revealed that Bella Hadid, who has contracted the same scary chronic condition as other members of her family, Lyme disease, is struggling in ways we were totally unaware of.
While sitting down to chat with Good Day New York, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Yolanda Hadid, talked about the fact that Bella, along with her younger brother, Anwar, are both suffering from Lyme disease, the same condition their mother has herself been publicly fighting.
Bella and her brother both contracted the disease, which is caused by bacteria, at last year’s Global Lyme Alliance event. Bella will be appearing as an honoree at this year’s gala.

“Bella is struggling,” Yolanda said, adding, “She’s always tired. She could sleep for 10 hours and wake up [and say], ‘I’m still tired.’ In the younger generation, it comes up like anxiety, severe exhaustion, joint pain, flu-like symptoms and they just keep struggling over it.” Oof.
Yolanda also said what most of us must be thinking, “It’s hard to imagine that this beautiful bright light on the cover of magazines could struggle the way that she does.” Poor Bella.
17-year-old Anwar is faring better, with his mom claiming, “My son, who has been home with me, is doing great. I think he’s about 90% and he’s very determined to get 100% and he does the work and does what needs to be done.” Good for you, Anwar!
We hope Bella is taking the time to take care of herself too.
