Belle and Gaston Face Off in This Fairytale-Like New Pic from Disney’s Live-Action Beauty and the Beast
Beauty and the Beast’s first full trailer absolutely gave us the BEST kinda chills and made us more excited than ever to see all of the classic moments from one of our fave Disney stories. Though we obviously can’t wait to see more of Emma Watson and Dan Stevens in the title roles, we’re just as psyched to see Lumiere, Cogsworth and, of course, Mrs. Potts.
And don’t think we’ve forgotten the bold, brash and broad-chested dude who does his best to win Belle’s affection, Monsieur Gaston himself. That’s why we’re loving this new look at Belle and Gaston facing off… though with flowers instead of a fight.

Played by Luke Evans (who you may remember as Scott from The Girl on the Train and Owen Shaw in Furious 7), this live-action version of Gaston is pretty much a spitting image of the overbearing and somewhat misguided (yet totally fit) character we loved to hate and hated to love in the 1991 film — fella was full-on sexist, conceited, violent and (yikes!) had no respect for personal boundaries.
Though the initial pics of the new movie have received mixed reactions, this new peek at Gaston might change people’s minds and make every storybook lover excited for the tale as old as time.
