You Have to Check Out This Ben & Jerry’s Cookie Dough Ice Cream BEER
It’s pretty darn exciting whenever Ben & Jerry’s does something wonderful with their ice cream. We drooled when they introduced their new Brownie Batter Core and vegan peeps squeed with delight over their non-dairy options. But now you can enjoy your fave B&J flavor in an entirely new and totally unexpected way. No need for spoons or cones, because this ice-cream-flavored treat is, in fact… beer.
We’ll soon be sipping back Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ale, which comes from the alcoholic alchemists over at New Belgium. Yep, it’s a chocolate chip cookie dough-flavored beer. It’s not their first attempt at this type of fusion, as last year the companies came together to bring about Salted Caramel Brownie Brown Ale, described as “rich chocolaty, salted-caramel, vanilla goodness.”
With no deets on what the newest ale actually tastes like, the company does specify that the drink was created to promote climate change awareness. Ice cream + beer = climate change awareness. Apparently. As loose as the connection seems to be, the decent part is that the company will be donating $50,000 in proceeds to the charity Protect Our Winters.
Set to hit the shelves in the fall of 2016, it will be the perfect thing to pick up for that WTF dinner party or weirdo-inspired hangs with your besties.
Would you try ice cream-inspired beer… or are those two things best left on their own? Tweet us @BritandCo!
