25 Unexpected Foods to Nosh on This Spring at Disney World’s Epcot Park

You may have your favorite food stands at Walt Disney World and your treasured secret spots, but have you ever attended the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival which runs through spring? Though it’s called “Flower & Garden,” the real highlight is the food. As a self-proclaimed Walt Disney World expert (and former cast member), I love the limited-edition small bites and creative sips around the World Showcase, which are only served during this festival between February 28 and May 28. Here are the can’t-miss stalls from this year’s festival — and what to try at each.


Bauernmarkt: Farmer’s Market

New Item to Try:

  • Toasted pretzel bread topped with Black Forest ham and melted Gruyère cheese

Returning Favorites:

  • Potato pancakes with house-made apple sauce
  • Cheese strudel with mixed berries

Cider House

Returning Favorites:

  • Lemon scone with crème fraîche and mixed berries (Bonus: It’s gluten-free!)
  • House-made potato and cheddar cheese biscuit with smoked salmon tartare

The Berry Basket

Returning Favorites:

  • Lamb chop with quinoa salad and blackberry gastrique

  • Wild berry buckle with pepper berry gelato
  • Twinings green tea berry mint julep

Fleur de Lys

New Items to Try:

  • Macaron au Chocolat en Sucette: chocolate macaron lollipop (gluten-free)
  • Tarte à la Tomate Provençale: provencal tomato tart with sautéed onions, thyme, and rosemary on a flaky pastry crust

Returning Favorite:

  • La Vie en Rose Frozen Slushy: Grey Goose Vodka Orange, St. Germain liqueur, and white and red cranberry juices

Hanami

Returning Favorites:

  • Frushi: fruit sushi made with pineapple, strawberry, melon, and coconut rice
  • Beef Teriyaki Udon: thin-sliced beef, onions, and noodles

La Isla Fresca

New Item to Try:

  • Tropical Mousse Cake: layers of passion fruit cake, coconut mousse, and tropical fruit glaze

Returning Favorites:

  • Caribbean Conch Salad with mango, papaya, and pickled red onions

Northern Bloom

New Item to Try:

  • Griddled maple pound cake with warm peach compote and sweet corn gelato

Returning Favorites:

  • Seared scallops with French green beans, butter potatoes, brown butter vinaigrette, and applewood-smoked bacon (gluten-free)
  • Beef tenderloin tips topped with mushroom bordelaise sauce, whipped potatoes, and garden vegetables

Pineapple Promenade

Returning Favorite:

  • Frozen dessert violet lemonade

THE SMOKEHOUSE: Barbecue and Brews

New Item to Try:

  • Beef brisket burnt ends and smoked pork belly slider with garlic sausage, chorizo, and cheddar fondue

Returning Favorites:

  • Pulled pig slider with coleslaw

  • Warm chocolate cake with bourbon-salted caramel sauce and spiced pecans

The Honey Bee-stro (New this year)

New Items to Try:

  • Roasted cauliflower with buckwheat honey carrot puree, wild rice pilaf, asparagus, honey blistered grapes, and sunflower brittle (gluten-free)
  • Honey tandoori chicken flatbread with white cheddar cheese, charred vegetables, clover honey sour cream, and micro watercress

  • Local wildflower honey-mascarpone cheesecake with orange blossom honey ice cream
