2019 will bring strange but compelling new flavors of cereal. It might sound a little eerie to eat Sour Patch Kids with milk in the morning, but you know we'll try it at least once. And hey, all of these new flavors (like donuts, candy, and toaster pastries) will make brilliant ice cream mix-ins at the very least. Take a look at 10 new-for-2019 cereals, then decide how you'll fill your bowl.
Kellogg's Pop-Tarts Cereal ($4): For those who prefer their Pop-Tarts untoasted (who are you?!), a bowl of Pop-Tarts splashed with ice-cold milk might really hit the spot. While this won't be the first time Pop-Tarts cereal has hit store shelves, it is the first chance to get a taste of it since the '80s, when it was discontinued. You can find it in both Brown Sugar Cinnamon and Frosted Strawberry varieties.
Kellogg's Strawberry Rice Krispies ($4): Rice Krispies will soon come in a bright pink strawberry flavor, transforming your marshmallow cereal treats into pastel perfection for Valentine's Day and beyond.
Post Hostess Cereals ($4): Powdered Donettes and Honey Buns are arguably the best breakfast offerings from Hostess, but the powdered sugar and sticky honey can be messier than it's worth some mornings. We're loving the convenience of those classic flavors in crunchy cereal form.
Trader Joe's Crispy Quinoa Stars ($4): You may have had steamed quinoa, but now the popular ingredient can be found in your breakfast bowl. These puffed quinoa-rice stars are sweetened with just a tad of cane sugar for toothsome cereal milk.
Funko The Golden Girls Cereal ($85): Technically this cereal is a collectible. But if you're a die-hard Golden Girls fan, it might be worth it to shell out the dough so you can get a taste.
Kellogg's Frosted Flakes ($4): The all-new Banana Crème and Honey Nut versions of Frosted Flakes prove nothing beats classic, retro flavors. Tony the Tiger won't be the only one going wild for these...
Post Sour Patch Kids Cereal ($4): Sweet-and-sour candy for breakfast? Heck yeah! Thanks to Sour Patch Kids Cereal, which will be available exclusively at Walmart on December 26, you can get your sugar fix nice and early.
