Unpublished: Launched in 2017 with a mission statement everyone can appreciate ("We stand for what’s REAL: no fluff, all substance"), this Los Angeles-based company's affordable price point is hard not to love. The comprehensive denim collection includes a wide variety of washes and inventive styles like the MARGAUX Cropped Demi Flare ($77) that features unusual side slits and a below-the-knee seam.
Amo Denim: Named after the Latin word for love, Amo was created "by women who get it" with one simple goal: to produce the perfect pair of jeans. Made with comfort and high-quality craftsmanship in mind, this LA brand features denim treasures like the Loverboy Retro ($308) — perfectly destroyed, cropped, and ready to rock day or night.
American Giant: Remember the company that brought us the world's greatest sweatshirt? Well, they've just released their first pair of 218 Skinny Jeans ($148) and they're as classic as they come. Made in Los Angeles with custom hardware, these jeans are high quality, affordable, and they look really, really good on.
Xabi: Family founded, owned, and operated, Xabi is a Los Angeles-based brand that focuses on stylish comfort and high-quality designs like the Graceful Crop Skinny ($169). The two-toned denim will add a little pizazz to basic outfits without having to go too crazy.
Wendelborn: Representing adventurous sophistication, this company integrates common and luxurious materials to create denim that's unique and dependable. And ICYMI, we're breaking all the antiquated fashion rules and wearing white year round since we're *obsessed* with the two-toned Combo Studio Jean ($390) in white and natural. Wear with more white, less white, or nothing else at all.
Marine Layer Denim: From the SF company that brought us the *softest* t-shirt we've ever met comes ML Denim, insanely soft and flattering on every body type. The High Skinny Jean ($148) is buttery smooth, ultra-high waisted, and ideal for sweater weather.
The Feel Studio Inc.: Designed, sewn, and sustainably washed in small batches, this heritage weight denim is the real, California-made deal. And if you're still all about the relaxed, non-stretch mom jean then you'll love The Genuine Jean ($225).
LOROD: With the goal of creating "modular, modern interpretations of American classics," USA-made LOROD is doing durable, work pants stylishly right. Take the Black Denim Carpenter Pant ($495) — they're heavy duty yet wearable and they even look amazing paired with kitten heels.
Moussy: Although this brand has been around for some time (it was founded in Tokyo in 2000), Americans are now able to get their hands on the Japanese denim. If you're in NYC, head into their flagship store and try on a pair of the MV Selvage Straight ($450) — retro-fabulous and ready to party.
