Movie lovers around the world are still cringing hard over last night’s epic Oscars mistake, which has now been aptly deemed both #OscarFail and #OscarGate on social media. While we’ve been investigating the reason behind the massive flub, the internet is still just trying to cope: Social media research firm Fizzology let us in on the fact that the mix-up sparked nearly 400K mentions during the broadcast, with volume spiking a whopping 85 percent in the last hour of the broadcast due to the mind-blowing mistake.
