Buffalo chickpea pizza, anyone? She's also been known to eat a plain block of tofu or beans straight out of the can for lunch, but somehow those culinary adventures don't make it to her Instagram. Just because you've given up dairy doesn't mean you don't still crave cheesy snacks on the regs. We're not above sprinkling nutritional yeast on literally everything to try to get that savory-salty kick, but luckily, these days there are plenty of brands that do the hard work for us. You could snack on a different cheesy vegan snack every day of the week if that's what tickles your fancy (and it definitely tickles ours). These are our 16 favorite munchies to pick up in stores.
Amy's Vegan Cheese Pizza Snacks ($5): If you thought your days of snacking on pizza rolls were over, think again. Thanks to Amy's, you can eat as many sauce and cheese-stuffed pastries as you desire.
Beanfields Cheesy Nacho Chips ($2): These crunchy chips are made out of beans. A layer of zesty nacho seasoning makes them a surefire hit when your hunger pangs start making themselves known.
Daiya Cheezy Mac Deluxe Cheddar Style ($5): Whether you're making some late at night or after work, you can't go wrong with a creamy bowl of mac and cheese. Daiya's is perfectly smooth and melty.
Nacho Nutcheese Sauce by Parmela Creamery ($8): Parmela Creamery is here to satisfy all of your cheesy dip needs. Load up on ridges, kettle cooked, and tortilla chips, because you won't be able to stop dunking into this zesty dip once you start.
Vegan White Cheddar HIPPEAS ($3): HIPPEAS capture the classic flavor and texture of cheese puffs, but they're vegan and way healthier. Made from chickpeas, each serving of "puffs" has four grams of protein (there are four servings in each bag), and the vegan white cheddar flavor is totally on point.
Gardein Pizza Pockets, Pepperoni ($6): Cheesy pepperoni pizza pockets made vegan are proof that eating cruelty-free doesn't mean sticking to rabbit food.
Daiya Deliciously Dairy-Free Pizza Supreme ($7): It's a good idea to keep a couple of these pizzas in your freezer at all times. Have some after you come home from a night of cocktails out on the town, or cut them into squares to serve at a party of your own.
Brad's Organic Raw Cheddar Chips ($6): Made from healthy veggies and seeds, these "cheddar" chips are a great post-workout snack.
Earth Balance Vegan Cheddar Flavor Squares Crackers ($5): Former Cheez-It aficionados will be pleased with this vegan iteration. Each cracker has the salty, crunchy taste you crave.
SkinnyPop White Cheddar Popcorn ($4): SkinnyPop really does taste like white cheddar popcorn. Keep some on hand for your next movie-watching party.
Que Pasa Organic Vegan Nacho Tortilla Chips ($4): Imagine getting your fill of nacho cheese goodness without the heartburn and radioactive orange fingers to match. If you imagined carefully enough, a bag of these vegan nacho tortilla chips probably popped up in your mind, ready to be devoured.
Earth Balance Vegan Aged White Cheddar Puffs ($4): Keep napkins handy when you start in on this snack, or you'll wind up licking your fingers in front of everyone. Cheesy, puffy, and utterly delicious, this is the kind of snack you'll want to keep on hand for binge-watching Netflix on the weekends.
Rhythm Superfoods Kale Chips Zesty Nacho ($5): Kale chips are here to stay, and after eating these you'll know why. Who would have guessed that leafy greens go so well with zesty nacho flavoring?
Upton's Naturals Cheesy Mac ($5): Upton's has a line of delicious vegan meat products, and it was only a matter of time before they started conquering the faux cheese game too. Choose from a plain creamy mac and cheese or one that's dotted with meatless bacon for a little more oomph.
Amy's Pizza Vegan Margherita ($9): Amy's has the frozen pizza game down pat. A thin and crispy crust holds tasty tomatoes, basil, and Daiya cheese.
Annie's Homegrown Organic Vegan Shell Pasta & Creamy Sauce ($4): Shells have got to be our favorite mac and cheese shape. Each little noodle holds a powerful punch of cheesy flavor.
